Where they think more money coming from i do not know. Your comment is well known, but it is not applicable to Manager. He is hired with certain expectations that are set by club owners. Both Levy and Lewis are THFC supporters for life. Yet first and foremost they are businessmen. They seem to have made a business decision to follow money, not trophies. Use the money to build the club, i.e. new stadium, football school, etc. Neither one has pocketed any part of revenue. It is being 100% re-invested. Yet they have plan and follow it. Spurs are not like any other club in EPL. . Top 4 is a trophy to them and it is most valuable, since it delivers most money. ENIC doesn't have oil money behind. They forced to build the club brick-by-brick. However, they do not ask supporters where to re-invest and that pisses supporters off. The pundits only know the football of the 80ies and 90ies and don't understand different approach THFC is taking and call it stinginess. So do supporters. I'd say if you spend, you better do it right, or don't spend at all. Spurs cannot afford to buy players, try them, figure out which ones will make it and sell the rest. It is inefficient and wasteful way of doing business. What needs to be done, they must keep players they got. They need to increase wages, so they will not escape to better paying clubs. Yet whilst money spent in transfer market can be recovered at least partially, the money spent on wages is lost entirely. LFC, MCFC, and MUFC do not have that problem being unlimited in their recourses. Chelsea and Arsenal are feeling limitations due to absence of revenues from UCL. Spurs are in much more precarious position. They can no longer afford not to have UCL revenues. Or they will be set back big time. That is why it is a priority. Sure some may do both Top 4 and FA Cup. Pochetino said he cannot. I am disappointed, but still okay with it. You have the right to demand different manager. Chestnut, made a point that there is not much in it between arry and MP, both had opportunities to win a cup or two, Mp even had the best chance ever to win the league. In the end both managers weren't good enough to steer their players to victory.

I doubt the new stadium will be a game changer, in fact it is already being used as a reason for no investment in the team.

Kane is the best goalscorer i have ever seen play for spurs by the time Spurs fans pay off the debt for the new stadium for levy, Kane will be retired.

Levy comes across as someone who doesn't understand football, if he could find someone who knows the game as dof spurs could improve their transfers, however, Mp biggest weakness is his player assessment, until he improves in this area winning trophies will continue to be more difficult than it should be.

Mp is a solid coach (i see a lot of similarities with Sari) and will bring relative success to teams who are under performing, however, he still has to prove he can inspire teams to become winners.

What frustrates me with MP is the way he has dealt with players he falls out with and expecting players to do what they are not capable of.

I look at the present squad and know if MP/levy had made the right decision it would be stronger than it is now.

The spurs transfer policy needs to be more proactive:
You keep good players for 1st 11.
you keep average players to fill squad.
You sell below average players, fast.
The key is to always bring in better players than the ones you already have, and if your lucky enough to get a big offer for an average player, you sell. Mourinho wanted Dier for 40-50m and Everton wanted Trippier 20-25m if true how could MP not sanction these deals?.

Janssen, Gkn and Llorente, Mp has fallen out with one, one is not good enough and the other Mp doesn't play to his strengths. No problem only cost spurs 40m.

There would have been riots if we'd sold Dier to Man U at the time as he wasn't considered an average player back then, and Trippier was getting on top of his game when transfer rumours were touted for him whilst we had no proven right-back to replace him and having sold Walker no-one wanted to see Trips go.

What MP has done is galvanise the core of the team, the best players. There's not been any transfer requests submitted (theat we know of) or tantrums on the training ground refusing to play, which used to be a regular feature when our stars had their heads turned by the like of Man U.

It is clear to me that Poch has written this season out due to stadium delays. He will try anew next season. To be in same position he has to ensure top 4 spot. I don't think he will ever sign anyone with name recognition. Established players never work well with Poch. That is the reason for Spurs not spending a lot on new players.

I suggest everyone to relax, wait and see. If THFC can win trophies without spending big in the transfer market, then MP will be hailed as an innovative genius. If Spurs never progress any further than they have to date, he’ll be labelled a stubborn fool who never mustered up the courage to really go for glory. The latter is premature as of today.
