The dreaded post UEFA cup Sunday game is coming!

After gaining our first win of the season whilst also giving possibly our worst display in the Premier league, we now welcome Crystal Palace to White Hart Lane.
Palace have had a decent start under Alan Pardew and were unlucky not to beat Manchester City, never mind end up losing.
Palace play with width and pace and the Spurs defence will have to be at its very best to keep a clean sheet.

Following his brace on Thursday night, I expect Son to start again and there is a possibility that Townsend could feature too after showing signs of his true ability against Sunderland and Qarabag on Thursday.

Whilst Delle Alli is still young, I still think he will start against Palace, simply because he offers enthusiasm and plenty of skill and so far has looked an exciting player.
Rose will surely start. Davies works hard but he isn't good enough in my opinion. Although Trippier showed naivety in conceding the penalty on Thursday, I liked the look of him and personally would like to see him start on Sunday.

Kane is playing well despite no league goals and his work rate is second to none.

It will be a very hard afternoon, but Thursday's games can have no bearing on our performance. I simply do not buy into the whole UEFA hangover nonsense. It's a lame excuse and utter rubbish.

It's time that Poch gave us the exciting, attacking football he promised us. Another 3 points would be most welcome but it won't be easy.

    As ever...COME ON YOU SPURS!!!

Trippier has done nothing to deserve a start in the league. He is as poor on the right as Davies is on the left, both lack the pace needed to play their roles in the system. Davies is not great defensively and is weak going forward. Trippier is weak defensively but is marginally better going forward. Both are and will prove to be decent cover for injury and rotation but Walker and Rose will play in the important games if fit.

funny how we see things differently- I like Rose but thought he had a terrible game against Qatarag on Thursday. I remember thinking - Uh-Oh - he's not ready.
    Glad Lamela came through finally.

Shows just how big the differences in opinions are. I was with the 1882 on Thursday night and Lamela was absolutely diabolical, couldn't pass, lost the ball several times, missed an easy 1v1 against a goalkeeper who appeared to be scared of the ball and was a liability to the 2nd worst player on the pitch in Trippier. I'm not saying the boy doesn't have potential but he just wasn't up to defending against the Azerbaijani champions, so why would he be up to defending against Bolasie? Rose was also poor but if only on last season should start. I'd go with Lloris, Rose, Verts, Alderweireld, Walker, Dier if 100%, Dembele, Son, Eriksen, Chadli, Kane.

On a sidenote, we seem to have a rule where if wingers play badly for the whole game, they tend to score. Chadli in the PL, Lamela on Thursday...

Rose didn't have a great game Thursday but he is better than Davis.
This is again a flaw in the Pochetino Philosophy where the system meets players that dont have the atributes to carry out the theory.
Think throwing in Trippier v Bolasie or Zaha would be reckless.

Palace are a decent outfit because they play a system based around the atributes of their players not persistently trying to funnel them into something that isnt natural to them.

They like Swansea etc are adding quality aditions and playing to their strengths

thought Townsend was very poor also as well as rose n lamela. However I would put rose performance down to ring rust and would expect him to start tomorrow.

I've worked out that no matter what team I think would suit the game, Poch simply defies logic and picks players who I and few of the fans would want to see based on performances, team balance and the like. Heh Ho! What do I know.
