Goalscoring machine Harry Kane is set to be rewarded for his fine form in front of goal this season by being handed his second new contract of the campaign.

Kane only put pen to paper on a new deal in August but having scored 16 goals in all competitions so far this season, the young Englishman is set to be recognised all over again.

His current contract was only signed at the beginning of the season; off the back of his breakthrough under Tim Sherwood when he netted 3 League goals in 7 games against Sunderland, West Brom and Fulham at the back end of the manager’s tenure.

He celebrated his new deal - thought to be worth around £20,000 currently - with an assist for Eric Dier’s winner at West Ham two days later, before netting in both legs against AEL Limassol in the same month.

But having emphatically found the net twice in this week’s stunning 5-3 victory over Chelsea to add to the growing claims that he should make the next England squad, Kane could now double that wage in recognition of his growth from fringe player to first choice striker ahead of Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor.

Rumours that the big name duo could be on the way out of the club for destinations of AC Milan and Torino respectively only heap more importance on the shoulders of the local 21-year-old.

But few can argue that Kane does not deserve the rewards he is set to reap.

To be honest, losing Soldado and Adeybayor would not be a great loss, given all that we've seen from them this last year, and their wages of £10m a year would help fund Benteke.....come on Levy make a bold move for once....invest for future value....COYS

As a player you have to prove your worth and Kane has done that and more. He fully deserves and improved contract and long may he remain "one of our own!!!"

Good on HK youve given us a bit of hope at last.

Great to see young harry playing so well. Not just the goals either but his hunger is inspirational to the rest of the squad and development squad. Glad to see a couple of the younger players getting a chance.

  6. Push dembele forward like he did at fulham and play kane as a lone striker. Lamela can go on the wing because townsend sucks balls and bring in wesley sneijder for 20m euros. The rest of the dross can go anywhere imo. Dross = Capoue paulinho naughton rose kaboul townsend chiriches dier rose soldado and adebayor.
