A game that was great for the neutral, bloody awful for the fans!
It was open, end to end, frenetic and two high pressing teams going hell for leather to get 3 points.

Spurs started brightly, Pochettino was twice told to get back in his technical area rather than standing on the pitch and Klopp looked like a guilty serial killer. All a great game but for Spurs perhaps not good enough.
Only time can answer that question but if Leicester lose tomorrow the point will look better.

Kane had 2 glorious chances in the first half but on both occasions was unusually hesitant. The first chance he was through and with 2 joining him he seemed unsure whether to shoot or pass and ended up doing neither. His second was perhaps harder but again he hesitated and the shot was easily blocked. It felt like it was one of those days coming.

Liverpool had their chances though and Lloris was in superb form and had it not been for him we could have been staring down the barrel. Then again, Mignolet was in fine form too and in reality it could have been 4-4 come full time.

Our tough defence looked a little shaky today and I was concerned by how many times Liverpool has shots with no defender nearby. Pochettino in the first half was also aware of this and raged at his centre backs on more than one occasion.

The scores were level at half time and it felt like Spurs were perhaps lucky to go in on parity as Liverpool ended the first half at full tilt.

Pochettino served a few rockets at half time and for the first 5 minutes Spurs were full steam ahead. Then a minute later Liverpool were ahead through Coutinho. It was a neatly worked goal from Liverpool's point of view but far too easy from Spurs point of view with no closing down allowing Coutinho the sort of space you just cannot afford him.

From the restart, Spurs knew they had to get back into the game but Mignolet seemed eager to stop every attempt whether it be from Alli or Dembele.
Eventually though Eriksen collected the ball on the left and knocked it back to Kane who, back to goal, turned and fired home, Klinnsmann-esque. It was all level.

Spurs pushed forward for the winner, Liverpool went for the winner, but in the end a draw was just about fair. For Liverpool it didn't matter too much, for Spurs it will depend on other results as to whether it was a point gained or 2 points dropped.

I thought we missed Lamela today to be honest and Son was a big let down. He actually tried the fancy stuff Lamela used to and Lamela has been keeping things simple which is why he has been doing so well. Lamela doesn't shy out of challenges either. I also felt Alli was far from his best today.

Overall though this was a fantastic game of football. Full of attacking intent and 2 teams who will challenge for the title next season, providing Pochettino stays. I still believe the longer Levy waits to get him signed to a new contract, the less likely he will remain, but that's for another day I guess.

Let's Hope Poch's former team do us a big favour tomorrow.

We still fight and as ever, it's COME ON YOU SPURS!!!!!!

Sorry Matt gotta disagree with u today mate, I thought the performance was leggy and unimaginative.
Were going for the title yet seemed to play like a draw was a good result.
Thought we lacked purpose and cutting edge against an average at best Liverpool side who have nothing to play for.
Historically we don't do well vs them and we don't do well vs Utd either who I expect again we will draw with and that will be that.
High lights were Kanes goal, Hugos saves and Dembele bossing the centre of the park.
Alli was quiet in general and Son was awful.
I'm more expecting Scum to overtake us now than us overtake Leicester. We did not play like a title hunting side, Pochettino had the attitude the players should've shown.

No need to apologise for disagreeing Felon.
What I did notice was we failed on too many occasions to get the ball to Walker when he was in acres of space.
Rose played too many minutes for England in my opinion. Alli too. And Kane.
Son was poor. He has talent but we missed Lamela. Lamela shows tenacity.
I won't go as far as worrying about Arsenal because I think with our goal difference we will finish above them.
Title or not, we must build on this season. We have to get Poch signed up. I fear we may lose him and if we do it could be square one again.
    That can't happen.

Well was interested until the last few lines when all of a sudden you talk of poch leaving. We draw away to Liverpool and you talk drivel. Porch isn't going anywhere the team played well today. Not at our best but good enough against a determined Liverpool at Anfield. Yes I'm dissapointed in the draw but we didn't roll over for them and are better off than we were before the game. Leicester will lose points between now and the end and so will we. Take it a game at a time and support the boys. COYS.

Frenetic it was. I thought we were a little off the boil today to be honest. At times we looked good and then totally exposed?

For me Son and *Eriksen (*save his assist) were very much below par and sloppy. On a positive, Kane, Mousa, Toby and Hugo were all at it and are just wholly reliable.

Dissapointing to drop 2 points against that lot but we just need to focus on our games, accumulate the points and see where we are come May!

    COYS

With so many players putting in big shifts at International level, it was never going to be easy, plus it was never going to be easy.
    Hugo, Toby, Moussa, Harry.....awesome.
    Son...Ffs
    Bench game changers.....none
Deli....knackered, plus he was kicked up the arse every time he got near the ball in the first half....
Tomorrow a point might just look like a good days work....

Whoa! Steady on. When a manger does as well as he has at Saints and leaves for Spurs, the reality is we have to tie him to a new contract now. Saints fans said he was going nowhere.
It's not drivel, it's about reality and the club need to get him signed up now.
I do take it a game at a time but we need Pochettino for the long term not just 2 seasons. If you can't see the danger of not getting him to sign a new contract now you are blind.

He-he, PORCH he is from now on.
TerryTheYid beat me to exact same comment. Spurs played superb, even without Lamela who is injured. Football gods were not with us, but were not with Klopp lads either. Now it's time for them to turn away from Foxes. Go Saints!!! COYS!!!

This one had draw written all over it and was a fair result, unfortunatly I cant help but feel that Manu at home might well go the same way. Hearing a few comments and people saying that Spurs have the most balanced team in the league which to me is way off considering that we are the only team probably in any comp with only one striker, luckily for us he's the best striker in the league and he's been able to play almost every game this year and stay fit. The mind truley boggles that we cut all those players yet did not make any serious attempt to bring in a striker and then even more mind boggling we happily spunk away 20m on a lemon like Son.

Lemon, notnats......I can think of something far more apt.....£20m ffs......that's 4 Deli's......we are exposed by not being able to bring a genuine game changer off the bench....we may be the only PL outfit to have a net inflow of cash on transfers these past 5 years, but it's biting us in the bum for sure....DL please note.

Although I think Son has ability, this signing East Asian merchandising written all over it, our esteemed chairman won't spend 20 mil on a player we need but he will spend it on a money spinner.
    Business before Football.

He's been disappointing to watch so far but give him a chance ...
I haven't a clue how it's going to work out but he deserves a fair crack of the whip .. A lot of players on the team have taken time to get it together and were been crucified by the fans not so long ago , Rose , Lamela , Davies .... Remember the tripe been produced by Dembele and Vertongen for the last few seasons , not many do ..... Short memories ...... C.O.Y.S .....

Not wrong there burnt about MD and Verts, that said how good has it been to see Moussa come good....for me there is little to choose between him, Toby and Harry for our Player of the Season.

I'm with you Bazza , he's a man mountain of a midfielder .. Think Pochs ability to improve and get the best out of players is a big part of the 15/16 Dembele and thats not to take anything away from the Moose .. Hard to imagine now this fella couldn't force his way into a midfield of Mason and Bentelab .. Unreal how things can change ....... C.O.Y.S. .......
