Don't be dopey

The Internet has gone mad as tomorrow's paper headlines are full of doping scandals across football. Whilst the news is hardly a surprise considering it is rife in Athletics, Tennis and Cycling, the people saying this could hand the Title to Spurs are being either naive or just plain daft.

For one, the claims if true apply to events before this season and if true clubs will be fined but I doubt any clubs will be deducted any points.

I hope the rumours are not true to be honest but above all, this is not the way Spurs fans want to win the title.

Let's fight until the last day and win the league, or at least try to on the pitch. Any wrong doings can be dealt with later.

If the claims are true, it's a very sad day for football. Very sad indeed.

 

Completely agree, this isn't the way to win the title.

I have to mention that I think the rumours are complete bollox, the journalists on my timeline say Spurs players are involved, but it varies from Eriksen and NJie to Alli and Alderweireld - lack of consistency is obvious. That said, I wouldn't complain if they deducted everyone around us 20 points...could have it wrapped up by next week!

The Spurs side of me wants Leicester to drop points no matter what, and I guess the drugs would explain the rise to stardom of Mahrez, Vardy, Drinkwater et al. But from a footballing perspective, and a sensible one, I doubt the findings are true or will be acted on.

 

I suspect there are drugs in soccer as in most sports when players are asked to play through pain. However you know there will be an orchestrated whisper campaign about Spurs. Their success this year has not gone down well in London or the North. It is just like the proxy tapping-up process by the besotted media that will start when the season is over.

Haven't studied the druggie reports, so will imagine it doesn't exist for now and take a view on the run-in.....

So say Pizza FC win today to go 7 ahead.....we need to stay in touch, that is not fall further behind them. Manure a must win and stay in touch until the last three. Pizza FC then have three toughies.....

If we were say still 7 behind, I still think we are in with a shout. If we are 5 behind, I'd put money on us....
