As we look back on 2015, there has been much source of pride and promise as Mauricio Pochettino leads his Tottenham boys into 2016.

2015 has been a year of progression, albeit not without trials and tribulations! So to end the year, we'll take a quick look at the individuals who have made this year worth remembering - by listing the honour we think they deserve, and why they have earned it.

SPURS' NEW YEAR HONOURS LIST 2015:

Dele Alli awarded the title of THE NUTMEG KING - From nutmeging Luka Modric on his Spurs debut, the talented teen has racked up a total of 13 nutmegs since joining Spurs. He's completed seven of those in the Premier League, two in the Europa League, two for England and two in pre-season. A warning to our opposition in 2016...keep those legs closed!

    Erik Lamela
awarded the title of BEST BARGAIN BUY - It may have taken a little longer than expected for the Argentine to prove his worth, but the latter end of 2015 has seen Lamela come into his own. A vital cog in his manager's high-press system, our number 11 has been involved in 11 goals in all competitions this season - scoring 8 goals and registering three assists. £30m? What a bargain!

Toby Alderweireld awarded the title of BRYLCREEM'S BEST HAIRCUT - This one is pretty self-explanatory. Despite Toby receiving praise for being Spurs' most accomplished defender since the great Ledley King (God save our King), this honour will take much beating. Whether Alderweireld is tackling, dribbling, passing or even heading - there is never a hair out of place on his head!

    ArsenalFanTV
awarded the title of BEST COMEDY CHANNEL 2015 - A worthy winner we feel, and an award that should not be ridiculed or dismissed. ArsenalFanTV beat stiff competition from Dave and Gold to scoop this honour - after displaying better banter than Richard Keys in 2015. Our personal favourites on the channel include; the Wenger hokey-cokey (is he in or out?), Whose Name Is Harry Kane? and Claude & Ty: A Better Love Story Than Twilight.

Harry Kane awarded the title of ONE SEASON WONDER/TWO SEASON WONDER/ WONDERBOY - Despite many opposing fans believing Kane to be a "one season wonder" who only scores against "**** teams", the fact is that Harry Kane has scored 27 Premier League goals in 2015 - which is more than any other player! These goals have come against the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and West Ham - so you may have a point if you too believe he only scores against weaker opposition.

Hugo Lloris awarded the title of CAPTAIN FANTASTIC - In a league filled with a de Gea, Courtois, Hart, Cech and even Butland, there is only one Hugo Lloris. Our 29-year-old captain has consistently been one of our top performers since coming to the Lane in 2012, and 2015 has been no different. Finally for Hugo, his phenomenal saves are being rewarded with points and are now 'match-winning'. Whether he stays of goes in the future, Hugo will go down as one of the greatest to ever wear the gloves at N.17.

Jack Wilshere awarded the title of BEST OPERATION PLAYER OF ALL TIME - If you've ever wondered what Jack Wilshere does in between attending Arsenal's end-of-season parade's and singing about Tottenham then here you are. Wilshere is actually Hasbro's Operation Board Games' greatest ever player - so great in fact, he has dedicated his football career to re-living and reenacting the board game itself. Spotted in a hospital gown so frequently, rumour has it that Wilshere will be cast as an extra in either Casualty or Holby City in the New Year.

Mauricio Pochettino awarded the title of SPURS' SAVIOUR - Despite dividing opinion in 2014 and early 2015, our Head Coach should be commended for the fantastic job he has done since his appointment. Since May 2014, Poch has purged us of the deadwood, changed a 'Spursy mentality', lead us to a cup final, handed opportunities to the youth and most of all - has made us proud to be Spurs fans once again. So raise a glass to Poch, as we hope 2016 will prove to be the year of the cockerel (from him, and for us)!

So all that's left to say is - have a happy new year Spurs fans as we go marching into 2016, and as ever....COYS!

Great blog Josh. On Lamela my take is that having written him off, and understandably so, he's like we've got him for free. Let's hope he continues to develop.

Toby has been a great buy, Brylcreem and all. Fingers crossed that he stays as strong as he's been.

Apart from the odd distribution error Hugo is an immense keeper. Not the biggest but sharp, fit, athletic and hopefully seeing the role of skipper as one that further cements his place at WHL.

Alli, attitude apart, has been another wonder acquisition, so him for 5 mil and Eric on a free, all of a sudden a thin first 11 all of a sudden looks classy. Add to that Moussa playing his best football for seasons, we've £60m plus talent that cost us no cash this term.

We live in great expectation for the New Year. COYS

PS it's down to you now Daniel......

On the same page. Alli, love him and the fact he plays on the edge. Kane never in doubt. Lamela, I hold my hands up - he is delivering to some extent now. Toby, just pure quality and the missus appreciates him more than me :) And Hugo, our Hugo - the Cat! Absolutely top drawer - excellent keeper/captain and a top pro.

Now 3 points at Everton, Levy to invest and secure that top 4 finish in 2016. Happy New Year boyz...

    COYS!!!
