We have to find cover for Kane; far too risky not to IMO. An injury or a dip in form could easily be upon us.

So, all the more reason to move early and allow the selling club/s time to acquire their alternative/s. Personally, I think it is a real shame we didn't land Hernandez.

Not sure on the likelihood of bringing in Berahino now; the relationship is somewhat strained, the baggies overvalue him at £20/25mil (when he is worth £15/18mil) and he appears to have a suspect attitude too. Other possible/preferable options could be Austin, Long, Perez or Remy etc.

It is a difficult balancing act for Levy and Co; (a) we don't want to pay over the odds, but (b) we must not be left exposed post January. In any case, this is where Levy must show his worth and payback the fans.
