?

Should we play a full strength team, or a weakened team in preperation for the City game?

On Wednesday night, the two halves of North London meet at White Hart Lane for the 3rd round of the Capital One Cup.

    Interesting Stats
Erik Lamela is the most creative player in the Premier League this season, creating 5.22 chances per 90 minutes.
Harry Kane and Son Heung Min both average 3.5 shots per game.
Eric Dier has won the most aerial duels per game with 2.5.
Jan Vertonghen and Eric Dier have been our highest performing players, coming in at an average rating of 7.34 and 7.32 respectively.

    Form Guide in all comps
    Tottenham last 6 : DDDWWW
    Arsenal last 6: WDWWLL

Tottenham are unbeaten in their last 6 games, notching 3 wins and 3 draws, which include 1 Europa League game, and 3 tricky games away to Leicester, and home to Everton and Crystal Palace.

    Last meetings
Our last 5 meetings with Arsenal consist of 1 win, 1 draw and 3 losses, including the memorable victory over the Gunners last season, when ‘One of Our Own’ Harry Kane bagged a brace to win us the NLD at The Lane.

    Team News
    Tottenham:
Tottenham have Alex Pritchard, Ryan Mason, Mousa Dembele and Nabil Bentaleb out. Mousa Dembele tore Arsenal apart the last time we played them at The Lane and without him we don’t have the physical aspect inside the final third. We will also miss the ever composed presence of Nabil Bentaleb at the heart of midfield and the box to box capabilities of Ryan Mason.

    Arsenal:
Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky and Danny Welbeck are all out for Arsenal whilst Francis Coquelin is doubtful. They will deeply miss the tough tackling holding midfielder Francis Coquelin (should he miss the game) , and the impact off the bench that Danny Welbeck could bring to equalise, or win them the game on Wednesday. Mikel Arteta (should he play) will struggle against the pace in attack that Son, Lamela and Eriksen could bring, and that could play a crucial part if Spurs are to win the North London Derby and advance to the next round.

    Tactics
Playing in front of the demanding yet passionate Spurs fans, I expect Pochettino to organise the team in a way which we can attack with pace, power and creativity, but still have the security at the back to be prepared for a fast Arsenal counter attack led by the likes of Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

I expect us to line up in the usual 4-2-3-1 formation with one holding midfielder, one box to box midfielder and 3 interchangeable attacking midfielders to cause problems to the Arsenal defence and hopefully drag players out of position to make other players available to receive the ball, turn and drive with the newly found speed in the team.

I also expect Arsenal to line up in their usual 4-3-3 formation with one player to act as an insurance policy, two box to box midfielders and 2 inverted wingers. Arsene Wenger will experiment with his side as he always does in the League Cup which makes it increasingly difficult to understand which formation he will adopt and which instructions he will give his players ahead of Wednesday’s derby, however it will almost certainly consist of possession based football, and quick passing and moving inside the final third.

    Key Players
    Tottenham:
Tottenham go into this game with 3 wins in a row and new signing Heung Min Son on 3 goals in his first 3 starts for the club. It will be interesting to see how he fares on his first NLD, after coming out and saying ‘I heard about the NLD in the Bundesliga. I want to prepare and do well on Wednesday.’

    Arsenal:
Should Theo Walcott play, he will undoubtedly be the player to watch on Wednesday. With a more than likely weakened defence, we can only hope as fans that they are prepared to deal with the staggering pace Walcott brings to the game. Also, he can drift out wide and drag players out of position which we will need to be wary against.

    Expected Line-Up
Tottenham: Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Wimmer, Rose, Dier, Carroll, Townsend, Njie, Son, Kane.

Games like this are rarely won by footballing ability, it often comes down to who wants it more, and with the amount of young home-grown players in our team, I know it will be us!

As always, bring on the scum!

    Come on you Spurs!

Almost seems written for Kane to score tomorrow.
Hopefully a bicycle kick to win the game in added time.

This is the most important game so far this season. Now that the new lads are on board we absolutely treat this like it's the Cup Final. No sodding about, full strength side and lots of passion from the off.
Do not let them settle and dictate the game.

I 100% agree! We go out there and dominate from the first minute! High tempo football is required, and I'm confident if we play the game in their half and don't let them into the game whilst still being solid at the back, we will beat them and gain the bragging rights over the scum once again! COYS!

Kane to break Lewandowski's record - 6 in 9 minutes.
The Woolwich to succeed in achieving red cards in three succesive games.
Lamela the league's most creative player - and the Pope's a Yid I suppose!
