Harry Kane has played 1 & a half games. How can we say hes been sussed. Trouble is he is all opponents need watch so can stick 2 or
3 men on him. Even Van Basten would have trouble. Dembele has been there 2 years & has no urgency. Get rid. Lennon badly treated , put him in Give Pritch a go, look at lower leagues for hungry leaders. Put Trip & Wim in. Dont know where in world are ya Hods & Wads etc

  2. Harry Kane appears to be able to adapt his game to good effect, it just that he is catching up with his fitness.

More serious is that Poch needs to make use of his squad, all of them including Lennon and Adey. How he never gave them a squad number beggars belief if he knew that Kane our only striker was only 50% match fit. How he rates the useless Lamela over the far more effective Lennon is a complete joke.

Not only that and just as serious, he must improve team tactics, movement with the ball and off the ball, including speed up our play, and stop using inverted wingers.

Just hope the club make some decent signings before the Window closes on the 2nd Sept.

However, if Poch fails to get us some positive results, and move us up the table, sooner rather than later he will go the way as other Spurs managers sacked by end Sept/ Oct!

    - £15,050' 500.
This is Spurs net spend this summer. And yes, that's a minus. So you tell me why we still have a weak and shallow squad.

  4. Ideally, we need to buy a striker or two, a midfield general who can drive us forward, x2 defensive midfield generals and a left/ right winger. We might also need a new manger in Oct!

    Sold Replaced by?

    Soldado - FW ?

Holtby - Attacking MF(?) Clinton N'Jie?
    Paulino - Attacking MF ?
    Capoue - Defensive MF ?
Sambouli - Defensive MF Dier in our first two games.

Kaboul - CB Alderwilde - CB
Chirches - CB Wimmer - CB

We also bought Clinton N'Jie - right side attacking MF, and Trippier RB

Still to leave: Adey - FW, Lennon - MF Winger, and Lamena - MF waste of space!

As you can see we have freed up plenty of squad places for new signings by 2 Oct.

It simply shows that Tottenham Hotspur are a selling club with the ambition of a pea.

  6. Not really, its just moving on deadwood to free up millions of £s to hopefully sign more effective players. But with the next 3yr tv deal taking effect from 2016/17 i.e. £5Bn as opposed to the current £1Bn, then it will be an interesting time to see who we will be signing!

Just a bit of breaking news for you folks. West Brom have rejected Spurs bid for Berahinho saying they "have no intention of selling the player'.
Meanwhile levy is playing a dangerous game slapping a £35 million price tag on Eriksen.

Berahino is clearly for sale here just a bit of cat n mouse.. No way will 15m be enough. The boy needs bringing in asap before a must win sat. 35m for eriksen I'd snap their hands off.

  9. Better to look elsewhere for a more effective striker, most likely been playing in the european or russian leagues.

    Sell eriksen. Really? Maybe?

  11. I suspect Erickson's agent is looking for a pay rise for Erickson and himself. Far better to sell Lamela, who has not really been that effective, but I suspect we will only sell him if a) we sign a better player, and b) get a decent return for selling him. A tall order to reach in the last 2 weeks of this transfer window. Lets hope we can ....

Eriksen is one of our best players by a mile.
If he had 2 pacey and more importantly quality forwards either side of him wed b a force.
Salmonella n chadli are neither of these things or townsend which is why we look so flat at times.
Get players in to complement each others skill set tailored for your system. Simple management!

Eriksen is quality and a lot if what he does goes unseen by some but there is no point in putting an insisive pass to fecking no one. not big on inverted wingers but if we have to have them at least get someone in who's actually capable in that position.

The inverted 'winger' system is cr@p unless you have players of the highest quality who can interchange with the ball at pace to break through packed defences or are players of Ronaldos and Bales ilk who can regularly cut in and score/trouble the keeper.
All we have is slow limited wide men coming inside slowly congesting the central area, very rarely do you see our inverted wingers give a quick 1 2 and breach a defence with forward running, very rarely do you see us be able to switch tempo for quick explosive attacks, very rarely do you see us controlling games high up the pitch, very rarely do you see us with willing runners looking stretch the play or create havoc anywhere near or beyond HK.
All of these areas need to be done effectively for the 'philosophy' to work else your flogging a dead horse.

I think Eriksen would go if it was to a side that fitted his style.
for him to be effective for us he needs to play in a position that uses his ability....and provides him with players who get into good positions ahead of him. we have Kane ahead...that's it.
Eriksen is relatively slow in terms of pace...but very fast in terms of technical ability. but sadly its wasted with us at the moment

I'd play him centrally with a decent holding CM (at the moment...Toby?).....with good wide men....and two up top. but Poch likes 4231....so really you struggle to get Eriksen into a position that uses his strengths.
IMO you could get him into 4312...with him as the 1.......Mason, Toby and Bentaleb....Eriksen....Kane and Chadli

I think the 4-3-1-2 could be very effective for this team and iv'e mentioned it a few times previously, and especially now that we are lacking in real wide players which is why id like to push Rose up to LM as one of the three, a natural winger who has become fearless and combative tackler and more than capable of bossing tbe middle as well as providing genuine pace and attack. I also like Toby in the middle who looks very confident on the ball and not afraid to look for a pass instead of this ponderous sideways backwards rubbish. I really cant take to Mason and Bentaleb in the first team at this time, both are average at best and on the occassion where they rise from average to decent, fans seem to give them undue credit for decent. I dont think anyone knows our best MF combination at the momment but id like to see Dembele and Alli thrown into the mix to see who wants it most and yes, Eriksen as the 1.

Talking of a pea, if you believe Spurs will sell Eriksen this window then you have a brain the size of one - and shows you believe everything written in papers I wouldn't even use to wipe my backside (Sun, Star, Mail)

Will stick my neck out and say Berahino will come to Spurs - why would Jeremy Peace make public Spurs have made a bid? He also adds "I know we are living in an age where no club can say 'never' about the possibility of selling a player." Hmmm.

Basically, Peace is attempting appease fans already as Berahino IS going. When he does go, he'll say something like: "We didn't want to sell Saido, but the player wanted to go and Spurs offered good money (blah blah blah)"

Bit miffed we've left business this late AGAIN, will we ever learn that we drop valuable points in August that cost us come May?

On another note, hope N'Jie starts against Leicester - the team is crying out for someone with a bit of pace - who'll run in behind and give Kane more time in front of the opposition defence. Until that happens, we remain the same, neat and tidy in possession, but boring and predictable to play against!

Back to being me again - Nice But Dim MP probably tomorrow.

Not sure what footed Deli is (not seen him play) but if we put him with Dembele as HM, Rose and N'jie wide left and right, Eriksen between and a striker - Harry, Chadli if Harry's "rested", up front.

We shouldn't sell Eriksen, but we would if you get me drift - more than a worry for sure.

We must then make use of the likes of Trippier and Pritchard. Why not start Trippier on Saturday. The game will be full on and it would be good to see how he copes, and it's not one of the top rankers (or is that w****rs).

We've left it too late as we're in the real stuff already, but we need to get a look at these lads "soonest".

It's with you Nice But Dim.

    COYS

PS Can we have a forum about the new stadium plan and particularly how the f in hell we are only going to be away from the Lane for one season.

I'd be looking to start dembele alongside mason with eriksen also. Rose from the left Njie from the right harry up top. Looking to introduce Alli and trippier second half. Pritchard to replace lamela in March day squad.
Cannot believe the Berahino deal hasn't been put through in time for this weekend. £20m plus fazio see ya inabit!

I dont know much about the ins and outs of football tactics but i know **** when i see it. Does anyone know the value of the leicester wing Mahrez for he rang rings around our multimillion dollar "stars". Now i hear massive offers for another wing & english striker. Look at lamela & soldado & learn Levy. Looking at the Bournemouth team playing with such heart today quite honestly cannot see where our first win will come from. Seven games down the line & 2 points on the log will MoPo get the sack? Memories of a big name french coach a few years back & will my wish come true a second time - Harry R please.
