Tottenham team to Face Manchester United KO 12:45PM

Good morning everyone and after what seems like a lifetime, it is finally back!!! Tottenham have been handed a tough opening game for the new season away at Manchester United and the squad looks threadbare to say the very least. But now the talking stops and here is today's line up for the game.

Vorm, Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Bentaleb, Eriksen, Dembele, Chadli, Kane

Subs: Lloris, Mason, Lamela, Trippier, Alli, Wimmer, Carroll.

Interesting choice of Dier playing in central midfield. Not sure about that one. Would also have liked to see Alli start as he has done more than enough in pre season. The squad however is very weak and in the entire squad today, only Kane is a recognized striker which has to be of concern and we must sign at least 2 more in the remainder of the transfer window.

I see our defensive problems have been sorted, the minute that ball was threaded wide it was a carbon copy of last season opposing striker waiting for the square ball in acres of space in the box.

Eriksens chance wouldve been sublime had it gone in. Good 1st 10mins same old other 35 mins.

Where is the famous Poch press? Most of our game has been sideways backways in our own half. Midfield needs to wake up !!!
