Spurs bounced back from their disappointing goalless draw vs Crystal Palace last week with a fantastic away win vs Swansea courtesy of a last gasp Christian Eriksen goal.

    Player Ratings

Lloris - 7 - Had a solid game. Made a few good saves from Bony in the first half and he did well when called upon in the second half.

Walker - 6 - Looked a bit rusty after his long term injury. He had his hands full with Montero in the first half but dealt well with him in the second.

Fazio - 5 - The big Argentine was poor today. Bony was all over him for the whole game.

Vertonghen - 6 - Wasn't great in the first half when dealing with Bony but he improved slightly in the second half.

Davies - 8 - Had another really good game today. Made one of the tackles of the season denying Bony in the first half and he got the all-important assist for Eriksen with a wonderful pass.

Mason - 5 - Didn't have his greatest game today. Started well but he faded away as the match went on. Was substituted for Stambouli.

Bentaleb - 6 - Another good, solid game for Bentaleb. Kept the ball well and made a few good passes.

Eriksen - 7 - One goal and one assist for Eriksen today. Put in a wonderful ball from a corner for Kane to head home and he scored a fantastic late winner.

Kane - 8 - Was my man of the match today. Got his goal but his work rate was fantastic. Chased down every ball and he was unlucky not to get a second goal.

Lamela - 5 - Slight improvement for Lamela. He worked hard, tracking back and making a couple of good tackles but he did not do enough on the ball to impress in an attacking sense. Was subbed off for Chadli.

Soldado - 5 - He was a bit quiet today but he worked hard and he pressed the Swansea defence into making mistakes. He was subbed off for Dembele.

    Substitutes

Dembele - 6 - Did really well when he came on for Soldado creating a few chances and made some good tackles.

Stambouli - 7 - Came on and completed all 10 of his passes and made 2 key passes. 4 interceptions in 21 minutes

Chadli - N/A - Came on very late for Lamela.

We didn't play too well but we still won in a tough game at Swansea. Our next game is in the Capital One Cup vs Newcastle in the Quarter finals on Wednesday.
    Come on you Spurs!

Good article. Thought Kane looked really dangerous. We rode our luck a bit in first half with Bony looking good in awful rainstorm conditions. I think the conditions did a play a part in our defensive frailties in the first half and we did improve with the wind at our backs in the second half. We hung in there and got a terrific win against a good side. Eriksen popped up with a late goal again and i thought the team battled throughout for the fans and the manager. Burnley up next in the EPL so we're in with a good chance of moving up the table. Coys.

Once again the Great Dane came to our rescue from a game we started well and grew out of i forecast would happen. We have to many players the same pace like a Rugby team with no wingers and because of it the ball kept coming back. Only speed we had was overworked Walker who did a great job considering he played Thursday up against SUPERB Montero. We missed Lennon from the team who beat Everton and i thought Townsend could have helped Walker who had to attack has well has defend. What needs to happen on Wednesday Potch needs to play Erickson Lennon and Townsend one DM get Ady back scoring with Kane and width because our attacks are to slow and easy to press .Coys

Not a great performance by the boys. Kane was the only player making an effort. Erikson was not effective on the right hand side though he made up for it with a cracker. Still looks like pochetino has no clue if the best line up. Lamela was poor today chadli should have come on earlier to allow Erikson to play centrally where he is effective. 3 points but not a great performance.

Fazio surely higher than 5. Yes Bony gave him a torrid time but Bony is something special. The opposite can be said of Soldado who touched the ball 3 times and was about as threatening in the final 3rd as the white hairs on my left nut. Lamela should have been sent off and his usual ineffectual self. The back 4 and Bentlab were solid if not spectacular but Ericksen & Kane are the sex right now.

Davies getting an 8? Not sure about that, he was the quite involved in the first goal.

Eriksen was somewhat isolated at the left wing for periods of the game today. I would like him to play attacking CM to get more on the ball, and be more of a PM dishing out quality passes. I guess Poch has his reasons for keeping him on the wing.

Jan was worse than Fazio n i think a closer eye on this youl see whoever partners jan r made the scape goat because theyr the only 1 marking or close enough to make a last ditch challenge, watch the highlights and almost every chance bony has jan is in no mans land marking no one. He may be good on the ball but his defending is poor very poor

Vertonghen was awful. Fazio was terrible. Lamela should have been sent off. The elbow was disgusting.
Good to get three points. Awful performance again.

Once again we are very lucky comin away with 3pts in another bad performance and we will get found out soon again we've jst been very lucky with these last minute goals but still 3pts I guess. I still think we need a clear out in January we've got so many over rated and over paid players it's unreal Kane looks like he's making that number 10 role his own and all we need is a decent number 9 now and a few others may I add. I still miss my Spurs side under redknapp despite him not being popular in n17 but still think that's the best football we've played in many a year!!!!! Coys

Spurs as a whole just managed to beat the Swansea to dent their hopes in their next game and put us in a good position in the table:) we move on to the cup game then get 6 points out of 2 games to carry us in a good postion.
Lets hope the scum lose next sunday and we win.
And eriksen signes a new contract rumors hes rejected one but dont belive it #COYS;)

  14. Lamela Lamela Lamela. Our should we just call him lame for short? He just doesn't seem to fit in. No-look passes usually to an opponent. Doesn't set himself up to shoot. I think he only stayed in because Lennon wasn't on the bench. Once Chadli came on, Eriksen could move more central where he seems to be more effective.

A much gutsier effort today. Good to see Walker back. Poor Roberto, never smelled the goal except for one header...but then, nobody else did, either, except for maybe Kane.

Not sure about 8 for Davies ? Routelege had a field day on him. Another lucky 3 points. Kane and Eriksen excellent again both these two are playing like leaders. Eriksen needs to play CAM and made captain.

Lesson for the day- we can't play both Bentaleb and Mason as holding midfielders in the PL. Their inexperience showed today. It has to be one of them paired with either Dembele or Stambouli. The middle of the pitch is a place for men. We can't afford too much inexperience in there or it will fail to do it's job, i.e. HOLD the midfield. The 2 boys were overrun too many times yesterday.

I disagree with most. I think Spurs played one of their best games of the season. People should forget about an opponent's crests. Today's Swans are stronger than Toffies that we all were so proud of beating recently. It was tough, hard fought game in terrible conditions. We did not dominate, true, but this is not the reason to get down hard on the players. Forget about domination, there is only one QPR in this league. 2:1 against Swans on their pitch is more valuable.
Down to grades. No one in EPL can contain Bony. Do not blame Fazio, he played perhaps his best game as a Spur and he deserves 8 for it, Jan was superb too, but that is sort of expected from him. I'd give him 7. Walker shut down their entire left wing making Swans to go to Davies, who also was solid, and making Lamela, who is a defensive liability until proven otherwise, look adequate. Walker deserves 7 Lamela was 5, I agree, he does not or does get wrong the whole physicality concept. Dembele made big difference over Soldado who was ineffective (do they have rain in Spain?), allowing Harry to be in Soldado.s slot. I'd give him 7.
Yes it was nervous contest that could go either way with all 3 outcomes possible. But, good win. COYS!!

Agree, that we were playing without a genuine holding MF was glaringly obvious. Id like to see more of Stambouli.
