You have the same fear as me a good thumping unless we change tactically. We can’t have a high line with Davies at centre back.Good test to see if a Ange can adjust or carries on with it’s the way we play mate

Not at all! your tips have been good. Let’s hear it … but no rush … we got to see the lineups first.

Spurs adjust believe it or not … but the general principle remains. I’m sure Nicholson was the same.

  4. Can’t blame a poor performance on missing players. City have more unavailable than we do. The problem is the quality of the squad depth. That falls squarely on the owners and the managers approach/tactics today. If we try to play how we do when we have the quickest player in the league at the back with two players who have the pace of 50 year olds, we will be in for a problem. That along with a keeper that flaps more than a baby bird for club and country. Ange needs to show he can adapt tactics to suit available players or we will get pumped.

Lol … I’m with you on the keeper.

But I’ve got no problem with the no nonsense, gruff, doesn’t give a **** what anyone thinks manager.

He’s exactly what this historically flimsy Spurs side needs. Regardless of today’s result.

Obviously I was going to predict this start!

Excellent performance. Defence looked solid and without the usual panic...no walking with the ball out from defence...I'm glad the overrated romero didn't play.

What can I say.I l take lots of flak when I criticise our bad performances such as Ipswich but I can praise when it is warranted Today was the best performance I have seen for a couple of years and every player deserves credit even Verner.I was worried about the back four but Davies and Dragusin were solid. No Romero errors.Maddison at last looks like an England player can he keep it going. The one credit I will give Ange is that he has turned an average winger into a class midfielder shame it took so long (Kulu) Solanke did not score again but my word he does put a shift in ?all round good display don’t **** it up when we play Fulham at home

  13. And now Ange should now get the credit he deserves with a subtle change in our approach/tactics and performance that matched most of our others this season yet with the result it deserved.

    also Vicario was magnificent today

Didn’t see the game. But it was pretty much the score I expected. Only the other way round!

god it’s hard supporting us, never know what to expect

You said this 2 months ago. When are you going to admit you’re wrong?

First loss in 53 games for City at home … worst loss they’ve ever suffered at the Etihad.

Hardly sounds like a manager out of his depth.

  16. Angelos Guest

Credit where credit is due. The keeper was excellent.

  17. Angelos Guest

I sat this one out too. A good thing because I thought City were due.

It would seem our worst results come at the end of a fixture pile up and against less glamorous opposition. Our style requires a lot of energy and commitment, and when we’re a bit flat we are naturally vulnerable. If we can be more consistent with our application the results should follow.

As I said come back after Christmas. If we can produce yesterdays performances over a long period I will gladly hold my hands up and admit I was wrong but you know as I do that there is probably another Ipswich on the cards because it’s what we have been doing for years. We seemto be motivated against the better teams and lack that motivation against weaker teams. This is downto the manager which he has admitted. You don’t see Liverpool or Arsenal dropping 6 points to Ipswich and palaceß.It is a mind thing and good managers make certain the mind as well as the football are in the right place. As for city losing after such a long time it was always going to be us as we have the best record against them for the last 4 years. We are their bogey

I guess at least Ange says when it's his fault. he doesn't blame the players for their failings..... more that he has the responsibility to make them better.
He will of course remind them of thd standards he expects.
we have had recent managers who pointed the finger at anyone other than themselves.

    Is Ange PL top quality.....
he doesn't have a lot of experience but he is at least someone who deserves time....
    I think he could be

NB..... I'm not Welsh but I do like the Davies Welsh puff out the chest and give 110% attitude.
