I said at the time, this was a big loss for us. Starting or off the bench, this guy is quality, even at 35.

Can’t believe that we are negotiating to keep Verner for next season.Cant hit a barn door.This is not the start I expected for this window .Backward step and bargain bucket stuff again.He puts in a shift but goals win matches and he don’t get any

 

Considering the complete lack of numbers up front, bringing Werner back for a pittance was a good call that allows us to splurge elsewhere. His numbers for us were above average across Europe. And he has pace. Will he ever be a great goalscorer again? Maybe, maybe not, but he did score 28 in Germany once. The boy is a pretty good footballer, and he loves it at Spurs.

 

I think our number 1 left winger should be Son moving forward and keep him away from centre forward. That way Weber is a good back up for that position

 

Werner and Johnson are both half decent impact subs, that’s about all for them though. We need to keep Sonny as you say, sign a CF and sign another winger. Toney and Hudson-Adoi would be a decent pair if we could get them with the two wingers capable of swapping sides

 

Any opinions on Gray, sounds good for the future and is home grown

 

When will we do our business before the season starts.Same story year after year.Waiting for cheap last day when we need to bed inplayers before season starts.We have known we need a striker since last year but still no movement,.The youngsters have done well but we need experience as well so get your finger out Levyand spend some money .I am fairly certain that there are two premier ship strikers who would jump at the chance of coming to us

 

I see Richarlison has refused move to Saudi.Does that mean Levy can now say we can’t afford to buy a striker.I hope not because we will be the same as last year.Ange must insist on buying class striker or he will be seen as weak by support

 

Looks like we are close to signing Solanke .Does any one else wonder why we did not attempt to go for Toney who was cheaper and is in the current England squad.What has stopped clubs getting involved

 

We have just signed a 60 million pound striker and still this once active website remains silent.What a shame that the banter has stopped as I used to love the arguments and discussions I now contribute to another unnamed site but the banter is not the same

I saw an article on him and he came out top in many of the stats for the season. I think Toney is a possible liability and Ang needs to make sure the squad gels well

 

I think solanke and rich at lions fighting for main striker could be good. At least it will keep son out where he is best
