I was at the forest game. Sarr bissouma combo one of the worst I've seen at Tottenham. Not only are both lacking in ability (can't make a simple pass), both are LAZY.

 

Before the usual suspects come on here and accuse me of being negative I have checked two other websites and the fans are seething about the teamselection as am i

 

Every Spurs fans thinks the same Preed but... we are not with the team throuhough the week so we cannot judge the team selection (even if I think we need à lot of changes in the 11) !

 

First goal Emmerson loses Salah who is half his height .Dont say you were not warned why is Drag not playing and Van as fullback

Another Emmerson error now 3-0 and still no changes TAXI for Ange or am I being harsh Sherwood was sacked for performances like this.While I post no4 goes in and guess who was at fault

 

It’s not fair to compare really because Liverpool have taken their foot off the pedal but Richie up front and son on the left looks much better, Son is our best winger. Also Skipp looks better than royal at left back

 

Ignore the score Liverpool made changes and we srtenghthened withRichy why did he not start.Skipp looks twice the left back than Emmerson does.Play him against city.If we now produce a performance and take something from City then I will not watch them anymore.Can you imagine giving Arsenal the league.Does not change my opinion that Levy has got it wrong again

Does anyone know why Decelso is ignored for non performers like Sarr and Bissouma.I know he is injury prone but give him a chance for gods sake or is there something we supporters are not told.Why was Dragusin bought and can’t get a game over Emmerson.The team selection is now beginning to piss me off as it is haphazard to say the least.Son scores his usual Anfield goal but my god he is now poor and tries to dribble through all on his own losing possession.We as supporters should now be serious in what we expect and I don’t see any hope of ever challenging for major honours.How can anybody keep picking Kuluveski on the wing when he is one dimensional and can’t beat a man or cross the ball.I don’t care what this web says about defence coach because we don’t have one and we desperately need one and that is just not for the back four but the whole team.Massive clear out needed and we should be at Bayern Munichs door when they get rid of manager at end of season,SorryAnge I really wanted it to work for you but you are Scottish premiership material not English premiership

 

Last 5 games by all premier clubs only Sheffield United have less points than us and that includes the likes of Burnley and Luton

 

I’m not saying this isn’t bad but it wasn’t a huge surprise, we always knew we had a horrendous run of games to end the season. The main thing is all the winnable games we lost before

 

Well, the team looks utterly shot, and the keeper looks absolutely shell shocked.

Shame about missing out on top 4, but money aside, it is probably a blessing in disguise at this time. Squad simply not strong enough for that level.

I think Ange needs to win a couple of these last 3 games and secure 5th. That will be a good season in context. As things stand, he still has had a better start to his Premier League career than Klopp or Arteta.

Pretty much needless to say, we will need 5 or 6 or 7 new players minimum. And players who are technically good. If you want to play with the ball, you can’t have guys who constantly give it away in the worst places.

Who stays or is worth keeping next year? (bearing in mind you need 25 players)

Areas of significant need?

Considering how important the position is in this system, both backup fullbacks are nowhere good enough. So, 2 of those is essential.

A star central midfielder.

A star wide forward.

A very good striker to either split the role or supplant Richarlison.

There is a lot of work to be done.

 

And no it’s not all doom and gloom, although it could be in a couple of weeks if we don’t win another game.

We’ve picked up some talent that is only going to get better. Micky and Udogie are top prospects. Sarr has a very valuable season under his belt as well.

Maddison has been a good pickup, and can be an important player at the club. I’d suggest though he simply can’t be our best player if we are ever going to the top.

Lads need to brush themselves off, get their mojo back, and finish strongly at home.

 

Again I think you are bang on with your assessment although do have to question the players you mentioned:
The whole starting back 4 - yep
Radu - no idea as in the tiny amount of time he has played he hasn’t looked great and I question his pace/reading ability for our approach
Sarr - yep although needs a lot more refining
Bentancur - this is a tough one
Maddison - yep but only if he starts playing like the start of the season again
Son - yep
Richarlison - sell sell sell for as much as possible while we can

I think we need another keeper, 2 x full backs, both a defensive and creative midfielder (as well as back up in each position), right side attacker and cf.

I also think we need to release Ryan Mason of any duties (sorry mate) and get a specialist set piece coach (defending and attacking).

I really hope Ange gets time as I think he will come good but if we continue to play like we are, it wouldn’t surprise me if he thought faaaaaack this and left midway through next season as he would have plenty of takers

 

I agree Mason is a odd hire, but we wouldn’t get his hilarious posts here if we cut him loose.

I think keeping Richy is an absolute necessity. Not only because he is our only striker (Son is much better out wide/in space) but because Richy has been good. It’s a little deceptive because he has missed a lot of time through various injuries and has had to come back off the bench, but he averages over half a goal per 90, which is top 10% for forwards. He also always plays like a proper madman for the team. By all means, we 100% need another striker, but we won’t be able to find 2 good ones just like that.

As for Bentancur, he has missed an awful lot of time, and it is hard to know what physical/mental toll his injuries have had. I think he deserves another season to find out. I would replace Bissouma though. He looked like the second coming of Jay Jay Okocha on the ball to begin the year, but has completely lost his mojo. I don’t know what is wrong with him.

 

For those thinking the sky is falling under our Antipodean manager, and yes, it has not been encouraging just lately.

United are the most expensive football side in the EPL. Be careful what you ask for, and show some balls. After all, that’s all our manager asks.

 

Don’t be fooled by United because there manager won’t be there next year as he is worse than Ange for bullshit you say show some balls well time foe Ange to do the same with some selections
