agree...... we need a striker that both CBs together are worried about.

A striker that gambles. knows which position he needs to be in.
Verner does okay on the left... but cutting in.... if he made a run similar to Johnson he gets into a scoring position in the first half.

It’s funny I was worried about the hard finish to the season we have. Now I’m looking forward to it as I think we need to play against better teams to get us firing again. I think the drop in Maddison’s play is the biggest factor. I would give lo celso a start, to give him a kick up the butt, he has always played well when asked so far?

If (when) we win tomorrow, we will have matched last seasons points with 7 games to go. Progress?

  4. I like your positivity.

I would say we have definitely progressed in all facets but with a caveat. It won’t mean much if we don’t continue to improve the squad next year.

I think Bentacur showed his best self today. Seemed much more assured
Midfield ed much better after the break, I don’t know what happened to bissouma but he started the season really well and is now a shadow of himself

    udogie had his worst match

we don’t need Kane, we need to be a team, I think Richie needs to be in the centre with son on the left. I still rate lo celso

either way, we won and have definitely progressed on last season, more fun to watch and will end the seaon higher placed and more points than last season. And probably in champions league- any fan would have taken that scenario at the beginning of the season Ang’s problem was having a too good start at the beginning and setting expectations too high

Another chaotic performance we just happened to win against another relegation battling side.

We may be 4th but that's down to the league being absolutely shite this year.

The defence, midfield & attack all needs looking at.

We are not a serious team.

I have agreed with a lot of Felons comments in the past but believe he is now in a defeatist attitude he can’t change.I agree that we are stillmuddling throuogh but to say the premier league is shite is over the top as this is the most exciting season in the race for the title.Yes we need recruits in the summer but defensively we will still struggle because of the system we play.we need a striker of class

  9. Spot on Preed on all fronts. If I recall correctly, Felonius’ reasoning for whenever we do well has always been because everyone else is rubbish.

We definitely need more class in the final third. If you look at the three teams above us, they all have at least one worldie forward. And with the style we play, there is no point dominating play if we can’t generate shots and goals because this system will give up chances as well.

It’s funny when we came 2nd and 3rd and “should “ have won it, it was because all the other teams were shite. Now we have 3 top teams playing very well 1 being current champs of Europe and yet the 4th place is only because the others are no good.
I agree with Preed, you are and have been for a long time just looking for ways to back up your negative stance
We have improved on last year, doesnt mean we will push on but it’s a positive step!

City & Pool are nowhere near the levels they've been in recent years, Arsenal have less points than they did last season they're the front runners.

We are just dragging ourselves behind (for now)

The standards are so low at Spurs that they're comparing this season to last (a season where the manager was hospitalised, lost 3 close friends, Stellini had to deputise and between Stellini & Mason only picked up 11 points from the last 10 games) as if its massive strides forward.

Looking at the run in I have us finishing on 67-68 points which is pretty much our average over the past 15 years.

That's the reality of the situation when you take biased feelings out of it.

  12. What are the biased feelings mate? that we all love Spurs?

Conte was superb … particularly when he stepped in for Jose that half season. Crunching Arsenal that day? Brilliant. Did it all go awry? I don’t blame him in the slightest for all the reasons you mentioned.

The club was at its lowest ebb in a very long time when Ange stepped in. First time in 13 years we missed Europe. And then Kane departs.

This is not a soliloquy to ENIC mate … they own the club whether you like it or not … and may well for the next 20 years. There ain’t much a Spurs supporter can do about that. Have they been the best? **** no. But are they the worst? Is the tide turning?

Ange is a top coach … and understands what Spurs are about. Get behind the lad … because he is our best chance in many a year … and I am including Poch.

  13. Typo … Nuno

No offence to him … a good man … but the worst appointment Spurs have made in a very long time given the circumstances. I have struck him from my mind.

Great period of games coming up. Should be some crackers, let’s hope we peak against Arsenal, scupper their title chances and then push on for some good results to end top 4!

Don’t think we looked prettier in this game!

bad result , bad game, need to move on from this

I’m looking forward to Richie being back and son out on the left
Udogie seems a lot less involved now than early season
2 weeks to get ourselves up for the Arsenal game

I think Ryan is defensive coach? Maybe time to get a specialist defensive coach instead of him -Antonio is free?
