I was a little worried first half. Skipp should have had a yellow (for pulling back...Eze?) before his yellow (tackle) .
had it been a second yellow it might have made for a different second half

 

Can only go by what we see and he looks very good…needs more opportunities now

 

Well that was a much needed shot to the heart… our season was about to go on life support

Good to see some young players get some game time… and good to see THFC is still alive

 

Thank you kind sir. I think we have some very promising young players, despite some of the contradictory thoughts on here with Udogie heading our way and Sarr looking so athletic and composed. I hope they manage to surprise us in the next few weeks with a couple of signings as our performance yet again displayed a need for quality at the back to join Romero. We also continue to be so heavily reliant on Kane that another source of attacking threat is still needed. It seems to be goals from MF we are missing so someone that is capable of 10 a season would be nice, maybe Harvey Barnes from Leicester could be a decent option if he is available? All in all, we continue to get results with a squad that needs some improvement and Conte is doing a great job in that respect. Yes it’s annoying that we have gone behind in a number of games this season but let’s remember that in most cases we have managed to come back. It would be a major problem if we went behind then gave up but that hasn’t been happening so any calls for Contes head seem a little absurd to me. So good to see Son get on the scoresheet again too, hopefully that’s the shot of confidence he needed to get going this season now.

We do have some promising young players… and you could even include Kulu in that… but at what point does a prospect become a young player? Gil until just recently can’t get a game here but he can play in Spain… so he is not exactly a prospect

Perhaps it’s just semantics… but we don’t develop great players via the academy. Rather we bring some through… overrate them… and then sell them for a few quid. Doesn’t exactly help the first team

At full strength we can be a very good side but as we’ve seen recently a few persistent injuries leave us vulnerable

So we very much need to keep our manager in place and keep strengthening because he can definitely attract and put together a top side here without the need of astronomical backing

Yes he can be a bit melodramatic at times but it seems to produce the desired effect when necessary. I just hope the board listens to and understands what he’s saying

Biggest difference today… our captain/keeper is a certified clown while the opposition’s was candidate for man of the match

Equally discouraging… Son is not a good football player anymore… he’s pretty much rubbish if we’re totally honest about it… shows about as much composure as Lloris does… just at the other end of the pitch

Just remarkable that two of our supposed best players have simultaneously turned to soap

It’s time to move on from both of them… both have been consistently bad this season… neither good enough anymore to be starting for a side with any hopes of top 4

 

It’s what you dread.Losing to the the most hated rival on your own patch and having to watch them laud it up.Don’t let the second half improvement fool you because Arsenal were in second gear.Time for a change of manager and don’t keeep telling me Conte is world class because world class means you see the faults early and change the formation which he never does.How can world class stick to the calamity which is Lloris who has helped us lose more than one game this season with his poor decision making.How many teams in the premiership play 2 in midfield,Not the top six apart from us and we get overrun time after time.I know the usual suspects will come on here and say it’s all Levy’s fault and Conte has been let down.I agree Levy is a clown and should resign but please don’t use that to try and up Conte

It seems we are reliant on our 2 wide players..... Sess & Doherty today.....by the time they get it wide the oppo have retreated and marked up.
Hence we look at our best when we don't use them but get the ball quickly into space behind the oppo defence.

What is the point in 3 up front if they all have to constantly receive the ball in our half.

We simply don't have clever enough players to know when to take risks positionally.
A completely rigid formation with no fluidity in their play
