Did you see the match ? A supporter of a football club must support his colors and not criticize all the players and all the staff all the time. It doesn't do any good. Otherwise it's not a supporter but a complainer. Admittedly Frankfurt has fought well since the expulsion of its player but the vast majority of the match was dominated by Spurs and if their goalkeeper does not made miracles, the score coulad have end at 6-2...
I understand that you may not always be happy with the quality of the show offered since the arrival of Conte, but in the end he helped us qualify for the Champions League last season when he started from very far and that start of the season is quite satisfactory in terms of results. Stop moaning and support our team now !

 

I wish somebody would ask Conte why Spence does not get any minutes.This week he puts on 5 subs but not Spence.Is this because he did not ask for him in the window.If this is the case then it is shameful that he could be destroying a talent .He may not be ready for the premiership but he was terrific for Forest last year.It would be nice for someone to clear this up as us supporters don’t understand why he is ignored.It is strange that a supposedly good window has not produced the added quality and Bissouma and Lenglet are not automatic first choices as we thought they would be

 

Time for my half time rant again .total rubbish with one shot on goal.How can we continue to bore the pants off of the fans .We miss Kulu badly.Please Conte shake there non performers up.How can this brand of football be top 4of table for so long

.Seriously though the improvement came after the injury to Richie and the change of system.Bissouma made big difference and what an up lift Doherty over Emmerson.Still wish he would not do 5 subs at the same time

 

Best league start in nearly 60 years! Would have thought that would have made people happy

I think there is a largish contingent of “we should push and run”……

I’m in the “just get 3 points”……

and as noted we have had a good start so we should be happy and behind the team and the management

 

The Conte train rolls on… a dominant performance this week.

For those trying to figure out our form… well it’s a work in progress. We’ve got a number of good new players but we actually played better at the end of last season with a skeleton squad. So this season’s team is yet the finished product.

Some stats for those interested in what’s going on…

We’re not as dour as some bemoan… we’re 5th in shots.

However we’re also 5th in shots conceded and that won’t please the manager. This lack of control stems mostly from a lack of possession… we’re 13th in the league in that regard. Yet we’re also 7th in touches and 3rd in pass completion %.

Those numbers together may seem anomalous but rather just point to the fact that our opponents press high much more frequently than we do.

A Conte team will play through the press rather than over it so the more success we have in that regard the greater control we will have over games as the season progresses.

I would never expect us to go gung-ho under Conte… that’s not his style. But neither is his style regressive or overtly defensive… it’s just typically measured ball to feet Italian football.

He’s coached a number of sides in his career who have hit the 70/80 goal mark and I would expect we will end up somewhere around there at season’s end.

 

Missed my half time rants and things got worse.When will we ever learn to pass the ball and control it.Never seen a top 4 team who can’t control a ball or win a50/50Miss Kulu badly

 

We clearly witnessed a match where nothing worked as it was intended. Manchester scores 2 goals with luck. The 1st is deflected and on the 2nd, the ball unfortunately returns to Fernandes' feet. That's for form... Now we've been eaten up by Manchester United in all areas of the field! We didn't show anything good apart from Loris who delayed the deadline as he could. By dint of letting this team shoot on goal non-stop for 60 minutes, and like against arsenul, we let the opponent do what he wanted until he scored and then, it's far too complicated for hope for anything. Especially when you have no punch, no reaction, no anger. United wanted more and were vastly superior. They deserved to win!

 

Quite frankly I am totally fed up with being let down by this bunch of losers. We have won 7 games and 6 of them are bottom half teams.When we play proper teams we are second best.Tonight I could not give Any spurs player more than 3 out of ten and that’s being generous.I suppose the optimists will point to our best start for years but the fixtures have fallen our way.Can someone explain why Romero is rated so highly because all I see is a sending off waiting to happen and he is out of position so many times.we have Newcastle and Liverpool next sandwiched between Bournemouth away and I would be surprised if we get more than 3 points! I want to see us attack teams not defend fron minute1 .Please give Spence a game he can’t be worse than the rest.I said no one would get more than 3 out of ten but I don’t include Lloris who saved us from a real hiding.I expect a change of manager before next year because Conte won’t accept tha lack of effort for long.He is partly to blame because he cannot let teams play.I can honestly say that we are so poor at passing and our control of the ball is amateurish at best,United have not had that many shots in a game for 2 years

 

Let down tonight by a number of things. Dier simply is a good enough defender to be CB. He makes too many mistakes that lead to chances and his positioning while defending, with his arms behind his back (while turning away) isn’t good enough. Bissouma had a really poor first touch under pressure. Doherty shouldn’t be anywhere near the team.

The biggest let down was the desire to win the ball back and the lack of press again. Conte is telling them constantly to press but only a few do.

 

Romero is the only defender that we have who can actually defend

 

Can we talk about the state of our defence and all round football yet?

Or is it still a case of just believing its not a complete shambles and haramball.

 

What defence.Although if you can’t retain the ball and sit back from minute1 then you put your defence under pressure from the start of the game.Great word Haramball and great description in the English dictionatywhich says all out defencecwith the odd attempt to break out

Knew we had lost though because Felons back posting. If we were on the terraces, the chant to you would be “happy when we are losing, only happy when we are losing”

 

Man Utd 28 attempts on target- wow. They started the season bad and are progressing now. Let’s hope kulu and Richie are back soon

Someone told me once there were going to be days like this.

Worst performance of the season… insipid. Not a single player on it except for the goalkeeper… mistakes littered all across the pitch.

Big game on the weekend now.

We’ll find out shortly if this was an aberration or not.

Is it not disheartening to hear a manager saying that when the going gets tough we are not up to scratch.Does this mean that his buys were not good enough or were all the transfers not his choice.The happy clappers think we are going great so does not the manager disagreeing shatter their confidence.Man united had the most shots on goal in a game for this season which is not a performance to be expected against a top 4 team.I watch Dier muddle through every other game and pray that England can find a proper defender before the World Cup.I fear for us against Newcastle at the weekend as they don’t concede very many

 

Remember when Nuno was appointed under the promise we were getting back to our DNA.
Then sold his decent deadwood, gave him worse players and expected him to play exciting football.
After hanging him out to dry appointed Antifootballio Conte and have proceeded to play deeper and deeper game by game with a rehashed version of Mourinho ball.

And again there's a little tune got out of them before shocking defenders like Dier Davies etc get found out the error prone mistakes show themselves again.

We had a bang average window again and whilst happy clappers gushed over beating cannon fodder playing ugly pretending we weren't it's starting to get found out more and more.

There's no attacking free flowing DNA, we scraped 4th and that's enough for this fanbase.
