Just love it. I am still waiting for Nuno to improve on his interviews. Sometimes REALITY is difficult to sink in for some people living in a MULTIVERSE.

You cannot judge by the record alone. Spurs will never have re-build similar to Chelsea or Inter. Spurs will have Arsenal rebuild. Or worse.

The hope is that Kane and Son will return to form. Guess what? Nuno also waited for it. It didn't happen soon enough for him. I don't know where Conte will tickle them at to get better, but it will be a rough start for Antonio, if it doesn't happen soon. We have no one able to score other than those two.

ECL-match coming up & I am looking forward to it to see who will be in the match-day squad, who will play and which formation.

Conte has had success with a back three and rumour has it that he in his first day of training with the Spurs squad set up eleven against eleven in 352 formations.
ECL might not be priority but it might be used as an opportunity to see how players take to his instructions. Possibly a strong team and possibly a different formation.

Romero was voted defender of the year in Italy while playing in a back three. Davies and Rodon have both played in a back three for Wales. Dier, Sanchez & Tanganga might be better defenders but might need to play in a back three to learn how to play in a back three.

So maybe a back three of Rodon, Romero, Tanganga?
    Wing-backs Regy and Royal.
Midfield three of Skipp, Ndombele, Höjbjerg? (I might like to see Lo Celso)
    Attackers Son & Kane

If/when the match looks safely won then maybe some subs. Ideally sub the ones who never seem to be subbed, Kane & Höjbjerg.

    It doesn't matter the formation.

Spurs should be good enough to win this game playing what they know. So, 4-2-3-1 it will be. This game must be continuation of training, only with even more pressure on lads, with the purpose to showoff before new manager, whilst be a good chance for Conte to evaluate abilities, attitudes and work etic.
15 Spurs will see the pitch for that with most subs completed at 1 hour.

I've wanted to see this exact line up/formation all season, think it would get the best out of the players we have.

The team was announced and a back three it is.
The more experienced Davies and Dier over Rondon and Tanganga. Moura instead of Ndombele. Maybe it is a 3412?

Or 3 5 2 which is the system he always uses…

Good thing with the 3-5-2 is it can easily adapt to a 3-4-3 which based on who’s playing looks quite likely. Interesting to see what happens with the formation depending how the game goes as I personally would like to see both to get a feel for how the players are able to adapt if required

"Antonio Conte is a good coach but Nuno Espírito Santo is a great coach,” J. Mourinho.

    Frame it as well.

3-0 has became 3-2. Strap on! It is going to be memorable.

Said the defensive punt ball specialist about his equally defensive punt ball predecessor.

And the quote was actually “I can say that now [Tottenham] have a very good coach, but even before they had a very good coach.”

Shape looked good initially but clearly for what he wants, we need 2 x CB and 1 x CM asap.
Emerson is a liability as plays far too high for a back 3 that needs 2 x additions to make it decent.
Dier isn’t a CB so will always lead to chances due to poor marking and this means Emerson can’t leave the space until that’s fixed.
The shape change has led to a press much higher which is much better to watch but the 10 men has changed all that sadly

Well, the game had plenty of formation changes. Good thing was Conte started Lloris. Hugo saved us from a draw. That was a brilliant decision on Conte part. I don't think many expected that.

    At least it was entertaining

At least Conte has seen the best and worse in one match. Can’t say you were bored can you??The sending offs probably got us a win we did not deserve.I can’t believe how unfit we are .Every team we play seem to have more running in their legs.I can see why Conte has 3 fitness coaches. Please can someone see that Dier is really Dire and get rid,How bad is it when Winks comes on.Too many mistakes again and our passing is still parks standard.Good luck mr Conte

To be fair on him and the players, one day makes no difference at all and that is the biggest game in the best stadium most of the Vitesse players are likely to experience in a while so they were bang up for it.
First 30 mins looked good and as as Spurporter said, we rolled formation changes which given we won was a good exercise for him.
Sanchez did well but Dier was as normal so maybe that’s a change we could see temporarily.
Skipp was very average so hopefully we can pick up Kessie in January to solve that issue.
Lo Celso add nothing at all but Moura did pretty well.
Romero is a strange one…he looks brilliant and terrible at the same time. Hopefully he just needs a season to settle into the PL.
I’ll be far happier with Emerson when we have at least 2 x decent CB’s playing.

Exciting match :) Possibly a bit lucky win, thought a penalty could have been given away early...

Came out fired up for the first half, possibly too fired up. 2nd half came out slow, possibly told to slow down the tempo of the match.
Happy to see Moura scoring, he is often involved in goals and his involvement is not always noticed. Kane is still not subbed & I'd preferred if at least one player who is dangerous on the counter would have stayed on after the sending off.

Conte will have some thinking to do for the next match :) Same team or test a few others

Struggling with our 1st team vs Vitesse what a shambles that match was.
New midfield & new defence needed, just stop with all this it's the coaches fault.
    (Oh you did?)
You could give the likes of Dier Davies etc 100 different coaches they'd still be sh;te n surplus to requirement.
Conte has a huge job on his hands coz Vitesse made us look seriously average, Prem teams will always exploit the deficiencies in our side n we have a lot.
