I didn’t say that it was an attack on anyone? It was more a general comment aimed at the broader conversations on here about why one failed and why another can’t succeed.

I agree that he was great but really, when was the last time he worked any magic with real success.

Yes he won a couple of trophies with United but he also killed any spirit they had. His last real wins were years ago.

To me, the magic one isn’t very magic any more but I’m not sad about it because it was half expected based on how he left Chelsea and United.

The point you made is true, I am just looking for any examples of an improvement to us from the last 15 months to the previous
    10 years

maybe he's just a plant to set us up for failure
    :p

I think we are too far down the road to be saved (performance wise) ......but after wanting him for years DLwants to give JM time.
But as noted by many..... the way he sets the team to play just makes us soo poor.
Yes players have been below par..... and we all have opinions on who should and shouldn't play (see below) .... but the reality is the collective is currently bottom 6 rather than top 6
He needs to get a winning 11 on the pitch ASAP.

    I'd go with......

    Lloris
    Tanganga, Toby, Rodon, Reggie
    Sissoko, Hojbjerg, NDombele
    Dele
    Son, Kane

and the sooner we can get money in for any of...Aurier, Sanchez, Dier, Doherty, Winks, Lamela, LoCelso, Moura, Bergwijn & Vinicius the better.
.... sadly (as I thought he would work out) send Bale back.
We could sell the lot and pick up Championship players at a fraction of the cost who would show more fight and determknation. (maybe Skipp can come back with Krul, Aaron's & Cantwell as a suggestion)

Bring the youth in.... Cirkin, Devine, Clark, White, Skipp, Scarlett (who clearly should be called Captain)...... and give them pitch time.
As I said I think its too late for top6..... as others are playing better..... so let the youth find their place in the team ready for next season

Bang on (although we can’t get anything for Vini)...bring back Skipp and Sess, add Hart to your fire sale list below and let some of the younger players play together.

If you put Skipp into the team you mentioned below instead of Sissoko, we look to have a decent 11.

I would like to see Henderson, White, Vestergaard, Aarons, Bissouma/Ndidi, Ward-Prowse/Sabitzer/Grealish and Wilson/Ings replace the names you listed but bedding in 6-8 players is hard. The one thing though, unlike before when we signed 7 players with the Bale money, these have all (except sabitzer) played in the PL which gives you a head start.

IF we ended up being forced into a change with the coach due to results and performances, who would you want? Our next move is massive and critical to get back on track....I would like Rodgers if possible as would potentially open the possibility of a few players that we otherwise wouldn’t have thought possible to pinch. Rafa Benitez could well be a good choice too, especially as he is available?

Leicester City manager boss Brendan Rodgers is the odds-on favourite at 2/1 to replace Mourinho at Tottenham, although the Foxes would be reluctant to lose the Northern Irishman. Furthermore, a large payout sum would be required to sign him midway through the campaign. (h/t Football.london)

RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann is next on the list at 4/1. Former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss, Rafael Benitez, who is currently unattached is 7/1 third favourite, with former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri at 9/1.

what a good day for me watching football.Arsenal lose Newcastle fighting tooth and nail with 9 men to hang on and then a proper football match united versus Everton playing entertaining football like we used to play.Back to the dross tomorrow

Moura and Sanchez again you must be joking .How can Rodon get into a partnership if he does not play.Every other team in premiership have settled partnerships in defence allowing for injuries but we make changes every game.Surely Levy should take some flak for the novelty signing of Bale who can’t get picked in front of Moura.Bet Real Madrid are dreading getting him back

Is there a worse footballer in the league for being able to beat players with ease and then produce absolutely no end product than Moura. Worse defence in league and still we struggle to find the net,.Now over 4 hours since we scored

A win is a win but why when we are Two up do we retreat and allow even a poor team like West Brom to come forward and create two good chances where only offside spared us.Is there another team in the premier league whose players don’t look at ease controlling the ball Kane and Ndombele excepted.Nice not to have to pick on Dier long may it last.Onwards and upwards ???

Good performance from Spurs... particularly considering how poor our confidence has been

Sure we were against one of the league's worst but this is how it's done

Credit to Jose for his selection and set up... we played high and with close to our best lineup

If we're going 4231 (I prefer 433) then Ndombele must play double pivot... we're too light in midfield to waste him up the park particularly when we have other attacking options

Select the forwards for their skill and guile... not their pace and work rate. I would definitely prefer Dele and Bale to get an extended run but Lamela and Lucas are capable enough. No more Bergwijn on a weekly basis thanks... he's a squad player at best at this point in his career.

Quite a few players have copped an awful lot of criticism here and sometimes justifiably so... thus it is only fair that they should be commended when they play well. Whole side including the manager was good today but special mention to Aurier, Sanchez (excellent defending on the two late offsides), Lucas (magnificent assist for the second goal) and Lamela.

More of this approach moving forward thanks Jose... you don't have to always play super defensively to shut out your opponent... putting your foot on their throat and suffocating them works equally well against most.

A bit overboard Jose they are the worst defensive team in the league and i will wait until Everton to see if the attacking intent continues.A nice 3 points but I bet come Wednesday Sissoko and Dier will be back and we will sit back and hope Kane or Son do something to get us through.I hope I’m wrong we will see

Hammam... not bad today but I will get carried away by an opposition other than West Brom ...
The strength of a great coach is also to succeed in avoiding kane dependence on his team and it is so obvious that Spurs are too dependent on him that this donkey of Mourinho cannot even let him fully recover of his injuries to leave him 90 minutes in the field against a relegated future while we play Everton in cup during the week and city next Saturday ... No comment

Apart from that, I appreciated the team composition as well as the performances of Sanchez, Aurier, Hojberg (always) and Kane. We are not going to shoot an ambulance, so well done for this very important win and to Mourinho for making the right decision to replace Dier and Sissoko who are dead weight. I would like to see à good and motivation Dele return to the starting XI behind Kane and ahead of Hojberg and Ndombele ...

I dont think this one win against such a poor team is going to change any opinions overnight felon .wait till after we play Everton and city next week before thinking any thing has changed.I just hope he realises that attack can be a good form of defence but what is the betting we see Dier and Sissoko on wednesday

We played ok and to be fair JM made some changes that were positive however we were lucky that in WBA and Allardice, we basically played ourselves this season...we just happened to be better than WBA. I don’t think there was any tactical master stroke from the manager in the same way I don’t think our player quality magically improved.

Good 3 points and an improvement on the last few weeks but difficult to judge based on just how bad WBA actually were

How do our scouts visit Benfica and come back with Gedson and Vin yet City scouts manage to identify Dias? Based on what I’ve seen of him (which I admit isn’t a lot) he is exactly the player we need at the back?

    Who wants an interesting stat?

We currently have exactly the same points in the league after 22 games as we did in 15/16.
You know 1 of our 'title challenges' (where we came 3rd)

Didn't hear any of the complaints then that we hear now tho?

    Funny that.......

Pretty sure the league wasn’t this shite then though...
