I said any thing less than 5 o would be good and so I can’t take it back but although we were second best by a mile we did miss 2 glorious chances to at least get a point.Plus point Taranga looked here to stay.Minuses Ali and Ericson were a liability again.when will Mourino trust de celso and not pick Ericson the worlds worst free kick taker and non ball winner.Sanchez was good and does have pace and looks comfortable in back three.GO AND GET A MIDFIELDER AND FULL BACK AND A FORWARD NOW OR FORGET THE EUROPEAN FOOTBALL NEXT YEAR

I just can't get enthused for Spurs anymore , why should we care when the club clearly doesn't?

When the highlight of the result is you didn't get tonked by a team playing in 2nd gear you know just how far behind you are and without significant investment in ready quality (which we all know won't happen) then we're flogging a dead horse for the foreseeable.

When you look at the table Spurs are 31points behind Liverpool after 21 games.I know Liverpool are a great team but31 points???Its laughable.. people don’t appreciate how good a manager Klopp is he has taken average players and made them great ie Robertson relegated with Hull Wijnaldum relegated with Newcastle .How many players did pochetino make better apart from Ali and that didn’t last. Liverpool also have players on their bench who would walk into spurs first team it’s called planning for all circumstances

Yet again our fullbacks were the cause of our issues due to their positioning.

I actually felt we played quite well and the game plan against a very good Liverpool side was almost perfect if Lo Celso or Son could hit a barn door.

The result was disappointing but there were lots of real positives, especially in defence with Toby, Sanchez and Tanganga all standout performers.

Eriksen needs to go ASAP...despite his miss, Lo Celso transformed our attacking threat. Aurier played ok although still has no clue on defensive positioning and continually leaves the CB’s covering the RB position.

We do need some signings in January to see us through to next season but I’m not sure if Gedson Fernandes is what we are after? I’ve never seen him play to be fair but really want a decent holding midfielder and both FB’s replaced (wishful thinking, I know).

Our bench is pretty hilarious, when you need someone to come on and change the game, we have Lamela...

I think we will be lucky to make the Europa League places at this rate.

I beg you to please stop watching Spurs. I hardly ever see you getting enthused. Why do you want to continue flogging a dead horse if you know it's not going to come alive. Why do you keep complaining when you believe that that the club owners who have invested millions and millions don't care and only you do.

    Get a life!

Only a melt would ignore the sheer mismanagement of it all, the utter negligence towards the squad and contempt towards the fans.

Happy clap all you like, you're part of the problem

Managers rid players, owners rid manager. How do you suggest ridding this "regime". I bet 99% of the clubs are mismanaged viewing through your lenses and 19 out of the clubs should get rid of their "regime".

When you turn up a football matches, I bet you yell "sack them all" instead of cheering them on. That accordingly is sanity.

Would you be 'Flawless' by any chance? Looks like the same style and same sneering to me.

I could be Felon in disguise if sneering is anything to go by, except with a different view.

I wonder if at any point in time during the last four or five decades have things been "right"? Apart from FA Cups, we haven't had much success. I bet when we were winning FA Cups, we were not ambitious enough and regime should be sacked. When we were mid-table teams in 90s, regime should be sacked. When we are getting into Top 4 and not winning the League, regime should be sacked. Now we are out of Top 4, regime should be sacked. We built a new stadium which didn't turn out to be a game changer after one season, regime should be sacked! Those who don't agree with me are simply insane!

It would seem some people get more joy out of seeing us play badly and lose than when we were playing well and winning.

There's no joy in watching negligence destroy what was a good foundation so much so that the only positive from yesterday's result is that we didn't get tonked.

Well 'Tortured'/'Flawless'/'Whoever', the non-sneery, non-sarcastic answer to your opening question is 'no', because Spurs have failed to build on whatever success they've had for as long as I can remember, and that's quite a long time. In the '60s we were London's undisputed top club, and took on every other club on at least equal terms (and that includes United and Liverpool), but let that status slip away, even under Bill Nicholson, who frankly left the club in a mess in 1974. Burkinshaw was given incredible leeway in his first few years (including relegation and our two worst-ever top-flight defeats), but eventually built a cup team that couldn't manage a title challenge in his eight years in charge (and most Spurs fans at the time reckoned a change was needed), and the next thirty-six years were the least successful in terms of trophies in the club's history in the FL/PL.
Who's to blame? The board in the '60s were famously conservative (no advertising in the ground, for instance), and let Nicholson's increasing disillusion with 'modern' football fester to the obvious detriment of the team, his sale of Souness for peanuts because he didn't like his attitude being the worst/best example, but their successors have been all over the place. Scholar's over-ambition brought the club to the verge of collapse in the early '90s, and Sugar's reactionary parsimony meant that we were stuck on the platform while our rivals were riding the PL gravy train, leaving a gap which we're still struggling to bridge twenty-five years on. The modern history of Tottenham Hotspur is a tragedy or a comedy, but it doesn't show any signs of having a happy ending, whatever the admirers of Levy and ENIC might think.

Rich bit of history here. My non-sneery, non-sarcastic question is why do you keep supporting Spurs if the only thing that went right was six decades ago and after that everything was downhill and Tottenham are now a circus.

It's not Levy and ENIC that I support or hate. It's the unceasing cynicism and rambling that makes me want to puke.

Go play FIFA Ultimate Team. You can have Messi and Ronaldo playing in the same team and also against you.

Mourinho came and we were winning games. That is now forgotten. Now, it's a case of it's been six decades since we last played well. What rubbish.

Yea. Looking at this blog, I might be forgiven for thinking that this is a Gooners blog.

I am not sure what Levy gets away with. Lewis the owner appoints him and is happy with what he does. If Lewis wants to liquidate Tottenham tomorrow because of all this incessant grumbling that gets on his enjoyment on his 110 million yacht, what are you doing to do about it. Wake up man!

That was a surprise. I was watching Spurs playing while another team "negligence" was on the pitch. We didn't win as I expected but we put up a good fight. Liverpool playing in second gear and yet won. Then there's nothing to complain about. We were playing in fourth gear. When we play in first gear, we'll win for sure.

The fans of Real Madrid are similar to some posters here. Always quick to point out the negative, never sees anything good. Spurs fans in general aren't like that so it is a bit surprising to see.

I am not sure what the negativity without any positive signs here does to attract readers and posters, at a guess I'd say it is more likely to drive people away from this forum and from Spurs than anything else.
