    I want to say one
Sissoko scores - never thought I would get to write that!

What's to say we have won 3 on the bounce and apart from some poor defending it's going ok time will tell how much needs to be changed in January and the summer but let's just enjoy it while it lasts

Been a bit busy VoR , but not a lot to be said other than defence still looks suspect but the football at least has improved.
JM bringing back common sense ie playing players in their natural positions and setting out to beat the other side.
A massive breath of fresh air, for the 1st time in a long time I actually feel quite positive because we finally have a manager that isn't happy just taking part and that's what I want to see throughout the club a winners mentality.

I see Pochettino is waffling about rebuilding himself now........

What's the betting when it comes time to actually improve himself, his injury inflicting double training fitness sessions and his non existent game management hel decide he was bery happy all along and that the interpretation was wrong ?

I’m obviously not going to join in with Poch bashing. Most people think he did a good job for us and maybe he wasn’t cut out to go that next step or maybe it was Levy at fault
However I do find it interesting that he said he needs to find his self motivation again. That’s definitely something that we have seen straight away with JM , particularly in the games when he is by the side of the pitch all the time. I never thought the laid back sit down approach helps motivate the infield players

    Thoughts.....

Haven't read the Poch stuff, but early signs on the pitch is that there has been a total transition in the mood, approach and end result.

Sure it's early days, but watching all three games it's been a real lift in my THFC mood. We were shite under Poch for much of 2019. I was beginning to doubt Dele's everything - ability, goal skill, motivation - watching him on Saturday he was transformed. Poch lost the ability to achieve that.

I'd like to see more from HK...interestingly his skill levels compared to Dele's on the long ball game might not be as good as Dele's. I couldn't see him scoring the second of Dele's goals at the weekend. Perhaps he will be the man making the run drawing away defenders...

Regarding the defenders, we will see how they cope with Rashford and the other Manure youngsters. Win the next 2 JM and you might be able to start calling yourself the Special One again......

    COYS

Well, well - a shocker to be honest. Mourinho has a lot of work to do if his three PL games are anything to go by. Tonight's performance was dreadful - when was the last time anyone made MU look a reasonable side. We've also castigated Lloris in the past, but dear me, Gazzaniga isn't faultless by a long way. Dele's goal apart, it was awful. Just awful.

Too many weak links in this side , Sissoko & Winks cm at this level just rnt good enough.
Aurrier & Sanchez together are an accident waiting to happen.
We have 1 of our best CBs playing LB and Kane's Brother needs dropping for Kane.

Too many weak links , team needs investment

Still mistakes at the back, still some confusion when the midfield tries to press. It seems that almost every team met in the EPL has been better at the pressing game.
& when it comes to Sissoko... I am really not certain what his best position might be. I'd have preferred if his loyalty had been rewarded by being allowed to leave on a free when his contract expires but I believe he got a contract extension earlier in the season.
Many matches -> Less time for training/practicing so it might take some time to see big improvement on how it used to be and still is.

I criticised pochetino for the rubbish this team played and I hoped Mourino would change it but unfortunately he has found out that the last 2 years of no transfer activity has left spurs with so many players not fit to wear the shirt. We do not have a defensive midfielder of any use and unfortunately Mourino seems to have fallen into the same trap as poch in thinking Sissoko and Winks can play together. Why did we buy de celso and ndombele if we are not playing them..The past 3 wins only covered up the cracks and forget the top four this year it ain’t gonna happen.Man u sussed our weakness at right back and played on it. Can’tbelieve he is the same player who was man of match last week.More worrying for me is the complete lack of fight from the team which has been there all season. Most of these players earn more in a month than the supporters do in a year.In any other profession they would be sacked. We have no chance of beating any team in top 6 without some major signings and the deadwood being unloaded if we can find any takers.I want to see Mourino stop this charm thing he is trying to do and revert to the manager who didn’t stand idiots and dealt with lack of effort by naming and shaming as he did when Chelsea won the league Some of these players need a kick up the rear and that includes Kane who looks a different player when playing for England.Deli Ali is the only player exempt

Really? I thought Spurs were missing just a proper manager...
Alright, the honeymoon came to the end rather quickly. Clarets can't come fast enough. I hope self-motivation is not an issue with The Humble One. COYS!!!

I disagree. Spurs can beat any team. The problem this season we can lose to any as well. Mou has to turn the things around still.

I agree... Many people also think that Tottenham has the ability to beat any opponent ... me included and the look of last night's match reinforces me in this idea! We take 2 goals on 2 individual errors and we suffer from a Kane in difficulty. Without the stupidity of Sissoko and with a more mobile Kane, but especially with Ndombele and Lo Celso on the ground then everything would have been different! It's just that Mourinho better gauge his group and stop listening to the leaders who must impose certain players and things will turn in our favor, I'm sure. The most important thing in January is to bring in a right-back and competition for Kane. The rest will follow logically. COYS !

Nothing has changed really we continue to be inconsistent we played too deep because our back line is too slow. We lack a strong midfielder who can compete at this level, I like Winks but he isn't strong enough as for Sissoko I've always maintained he is a Terry try hard and can't past water, Aurier was at fault for both goals he didn't react to Sanchez's block and let Rashford get to the ball first, then got nutmegged and gave up. Could carry on but got to go to work. Just another dismal day at the office unfortunately can't see many changes for the weekend and we will struggle against Burnley's long balls because none of our CB can head a ball oh well just got to keep the faith and hope we play better

There is a severe lack of link up play in midfield when (Dim n Dimmer) Winks & Sissoko play in CM neither are good enough, further clinging to such duds and playing them regularly will always leave us short changed.
Aurier although improved of late is a liability n to pair him on the right side with Sanchez is just asking for trouble.
The LB situation has been an embarrassment for what 2/3 years now? What's going on with this complete negligence of certain positions?
It's not time that's needed it's conviction to get better players in these positions.
Until these basic problems are ironed out we will always be susceptible to such abject displays.
Kane looks right off the boil recently but for a few Hollywood passes everything looks either laboured or forced , he needs 2 things rest and competition badly.

one positive for me is that the loss is early in the Mourinho reign.
He will hopefully have looked at the game with a fresh perspective of what is needed for us to improve.

Having said that....my guess is that Man U were pumped for the return of Mourinho. Much like West Ham losing....their teams are only turning up against teams they have grudges against. (which really is cheating their fans).

I've said before that Winks should not be allowed in the team. And Sissoko. And Aurier. And Moura (impact sub for me). And Dier. And Sanchez. These simply have to be replaced with better.

You really should pay more attention - I never, at any time said it was just a new manager needed, it was never that simple, so your sarcasm has missed any intended target here. Let's go over it again: on the playing side the problem never was just Poch- it (funnily enough) also concerned some of his players, being a perceived lack of ability in some and effort in others. Got that ? Good, we'll move on. Poch, latterly, was either unable or unwilling to deal with that aspect, hence his role in the unfolding crisis and things reached the point where he was fired and subsequently we have a new manager who is Mourinho - who it must be added, was your call quite a few posts back. We'll pause a sec to let you take it in so far. OK, away we go again: I don't like Mourinho, never did, and probably never will and would rather he hadn't come: however, he has proved to be a winner, albeit a divisive presence, he's arrived and now gets his chance, I'm right behind him in that respect. SO, he has to deal with the inherited problem. Still with me ? Right - the inherited problem, and point of my post, is his new brood of players. He's started OK - but apart from dismantling a dreadful Olympiacos side he has scraped two wins against a poor West Ham and an average Bournemouth and allowed the worst Manchester United side in many years to look quite good, a feat in itself. He has much work to do before the ship steadies. Now show me where I said we simply needed a new manager.

I am afraid spurporter but this current squad can not beat any team or have you forgotten Bayern Munich and they are only fourth in the bundeliga.I am afraid that Pochetino and Levy have left us in this situation because of no forward planning and letting the squad age with no ready replacements. When was the last time Spurs had a holding midfielder of any use and you can’t blame Mourino for that .Dont be surprised if his initial entry into the transfer market is for) Matic from United where he seems out of favour.why has Mourino ignored de celso supposedly the best midfielder in Italy last year or was this another example of pochetinos lack of expertise in the transfer market. Also ndombele only used sparingly. Is this because neither close people down and if so why was pochetino buying them to play in his preferred styleWhen you look at these buys and Sanchez and Foyt it does not say to much about Pochs judgement of players. This means whoever came in has got a huge problem to sort out.Dont be surprised if Kane starts to be pursued by the big boys and I think he will be tempted. How have we let so many contracts go to the last year surely what happened at the are’s should have rung warning bells

You may not, but your party here have.
So, do we need a rebuild? You say in quite convoluted and condescending way that we do. Then Levy picked the wrong man to lead it. At least Poch rebuilt Spurs once. Granted, he wanted to go elsewhere, why change the philosophy with the gaffer? Tim Sherwood would be glad to get caretaker job with similar results to date.

If Poch gets the MUFC job, we will see Kane in red. Kane will be sold in the summer to finance the rebuild, if Mourinho fails to get UCL spot.
