  1. Yes Redknapp was sacked because since virtually declaring that he wanted the England job, won the court case into his tax affairs and more importantly we hardly one any of our last 10 games that season and badly losing out on 4th place finiish that season!

Today Levy continues not to tolerate failure, so I just hope we make some decent signings in the remaining transfer window days, but if results do not improve sharpish, the sack will follow!!!

Totally agree. Watched him on the bench. Totally lost interest and f**cked our season up completely.

Just watched 45 mins of Liverpool taking the Gooners apart, including a centre forward masterclass from Benteke.

Liverpool did their business early, have added half a first 11 group of players and are reaping the benefits of that. Only the woodwork and Cech have kept Arse n All in the game.

We don't even know who we want and we've got a week. FFS

  4. Really enjoyed the irate gooner on talksport ( Mon night 10 past 10). They have such an arrogance about them, like Ferguson's Mancs, it's lovely to see them suffering, plainly thinking all they have to do is swan around the pitch and the magic will happen because they are soooo talented.
I get the comments re 'arry, we did turn to s*** at the end of that season and I guess all the England stuff affected everyone. Still doesn't change the fact that Levy is the common denominator in all that has gone wrong ( and right) at Spurs for the past 14 years so surely his decision making has to be brought into question. We are currently an ordinary, boring and frustrating side whereas our heritage is the polar opposite. We have the money to buy real players , we don't have to scrub around in the bargain basement on the last day of the sales where all the good stuff has already been bought by genuinely astute and motivated " businessmen" TO DARE IS TO DO , we have to invest in proven top players as well as homegrown youngsters and exciting young imports, if it's not happening on the pitch it won't happen off it.

Liverpool have scored ONE legal goal in their opening three games - Prolific! Benteke has only managed the equivalent of picking the ball up from kick off, running with it and touching it down between the posts - try, but seeing as it's Anfield we shall call it a goal.

  6. True but have they completely fallen apart defensively as a team, wandering around like a bunch of directionless muppets, giving away stupid, totally preventable goals without the leadership on the pitch to put it right? Two players personify the Jeckyll and Hyde nature of our team at present, Kane who is the epitome of, and usually at the centre of, everything good we do and Vertonghen who should be leading the kids out of the mire but his arrogant, bone idle attitude and rank lack of footballing nous and ability is dragging the willing lads around him down to his sorry level. Shame for Davies that he's learning how to be Vertonghen. Please sell him now while we still can!

Agreed. The real trouble with a little bean counter like Blofeld, is that he is trapped by and obsessed with his spreadsheets. He pores over the impending losses on the 100 mil brigade, looks at the losses to the bottom line from Soldado and Lamela when he goes and he just can't bring himself to hit the spend button. He's got the equivalent of the darts players yips.....it just isn't in his culture and make up. Sadly for us....!!

They are/were far better prepared than us, both in terms of having got their business done and looking good for it. Ok so they missed their chance, but they are better to watch than us and actually look dangerous. When did we last do that....the Gooners in Feb.

  9. Looks like there's plenty to worry about being a Spurs fan right now. My posts here are the first I've contributed anywhere and looking back through them I've been struck by one thing, blimey, are they negative or what? I'm not that kind of chap normally but have obviously felt so frustrated watching things on and off the pitch at Spurs that I've felt compelled to express my concerns in what are, to be frank, pretty damning terms. I've found myself thinking how the players concerned would feel reading such opinions, expressed so vehemently by someone who doesn't know them as people and has no real idea of the personal and professional pressures they are dealing with day to day. I couldn't get anywhere near the standard of the worst Spurs player and I reckon I'd feel pretty **** if such stuff was levelled at me in a similar way.
So, apologies to all those I've slagged off, it's really just some bloke ranting away like a muppet cos he cares and is powerless to do anything else. Instead I've decided to try and find the positive's in any future posts,
I fear I may be gone some time!
