First time for a long time a performance of grit and no little skill.New keeper looks a snip.Great performance from Bergval and gray.Why has it taken so many injuries for Spence to be given a game because he was immense.No doubt Ange played more conservatively to night so has he learnt at last.Hope fully by the second leg we will have our defence back.No complaints from me tonight but a shame to watch son struggling again

I never first chose to follow the club because they were the best side. Perhaps you did. I am a Spurs man because they have always been the most entertaining side with the most noble principles. I am not going to forsake those principles just for a piece of tin here and there. When we win, we will do so in style.

 

I am a spurs man because they were my local. Club and if you think they have always been entertaining then you missed us when we had George Graham Ramos Sherwood’s etc as managers.

 

But aren’t you moaning about Ange for insisting we are entertaining?

Am I lying.a this obsession that spurs play open attacking football all the time is a pipe dream . I have spent many years watching rubbish to believe this to be true.Why quote that I don’t think Ange is the man every body knows this.But I still hope I am wrong and he turns it round .Nobody would be more pleased to be wrong than me,.Do you not think he played a better more controlled game last night.Certainly the younger legs made a difference.Notice I said give me a boring win OCCAISIONLY not every week

If you spin your undoubted passion into some belief and positivity, nights like yesterday are really really enjoyable. You post a lot (fair play to you) but there’s always a ‘but’ when you are posting anything positive.

I know it’s only a cup game but as we could see, with a bit of depth and quality (and yes Gray, Spence were out of position but they are gaining more and more experience and are getting better each week) and players following a system, we can have both good football and wins.

 

The point is there haven’t been many rubbish performances with Ange, only issues due to squad size and quality. In the main Ange is doing his best to give us all a season of entertaining and attacking football which couldn’t be more different to the years of rubbish you have watched
