If you think as a lot of people do that Johnson and Dragusin are not up to it what does it say about Ange who supposedly wanted these two.Do you trust him with more purchases based on that.If they were not his choices then who chose them because if not him then what is he doing at the club

Agreed … and the statistics support what your eyes see

Over the last 12 months …
across the top 5 leagues in Europe … among wingers and attacking midfielders … BJ is in the bottom 4% (bottom 4%!) when it comes to creating shots

    As a reference … Son is at 69% … and Werner 47%

BJ was a bad buy at 50 mill … I remember it came late in the window … we were low on numbers and needed to sign someone to play wing … smacked of desperation

    Will be Ange’s downfall

Wasn’t this already addressed in a reply on 23rd December to a comment you made (see below). When Ange is discussing signings, it’s always ‘we’ yet he seems to explain how he is given players:

I’m not so sure based on the use of the word ‘we’ when discussing his signing, especially when Ange specifically calls out Lange and Mackenzie and “when we got down to the real detail he was the best option for us”. Sounds like he was given very few options to me:

"We’ve been working on the centre-back position pretty much since the summer window closed and there's been a whole list of players we worked through methodically," Postecoglou said.

"A lot of that work has been done by the scouting department and Johan [Lange, technical director] came in and [chief scout] Rob Mackenzie and the team started working into further detail.

"They presented it to me probably six weeks ago. From that onwards, Radu was always on the radar as one of the players we thought would be a good option for us. Then it was about getting as much information on him as a player and a person.

We spoke to as many people about him as possible and had him scouted again and I’ve been following him since we highlighted him. In my mind once we got down to the real detail, I thought he was the best option for us.

"Before the window opened we made the decision that Radu would be our number one priority. I like his defensive attributes, his physical attributes, I there's still a lot of growth in him. "A lot of improvement in him. He's only 21, only had one year in Serie A, not even a full year and he fits the profile of the kind of players we want here."

It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low.

And we of Spurs have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory.

The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It’s nothing of the kind. The game is about glory. It is about doing things in style, with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom.

Is it about glory or beating the the otherl lot make. up your mind.So your happy to go another 30years without a trophy as long as we are pretty to watch

Better you ask Danny Blanchflower when you get the chance. That is his quote.

Seems you have forgotten a great deal about the club you purport to support. Most modern Spurs fans never saw the double but are nevertheless perfectly aware of the ethos that permeates the club.

Everyone knows that I’m a glass half full guy when it comes to critiquing spurs. I love seeing us play fun football and am glad we never had a chant such as boring boring A….
BUT. I’m probably with Preed on this one, I would have us play great football all of the time but if I had to suffer Jose ball for 1 season with a guaranteed title at the end, then I would take it! It is about time we got some silverware back up on the shelf
We used to be fun to watch, didn’t win the league but got a cup fairly regularly which was ok. It’s hard to not have won anything for such a long time

anyway like I said before, we are doing the triple this season!

I have forgotten nothing I just asked you if you were prepared to go another30/years which you did not answer as that would spoil your argument.I am sure we never had the mantra that it does not matter. If we win nothing

I am not sure what to. Make of the extension to Sons contract. He is a club legend as far as I am concerned but is he worth a place anymore

I think it makes sense. Maybe he will go to Spain for a final swansong and at least we get some money for him. Otherwise if he hangs around he can still be quality but maybe needs less games played

New gk sounds like he ticks the right boxes

For those wondering who we should be targeting … Kolo Muani would be my top choice … this is the level of player we need to be bringing in

  19. Guesty Guest

I have seen we are after him…..but I have no idea who he is
