Why should we expect success when we haven't had it for soo long....
I think we all know that DL will never pay the wages required to get those quality players who can pass and move..... or defend properly..... or hit the target every time......
We need a squad of players who can do it...not less than a starting 11

Every manager over X amount of years has faced the same problem......

We need a sugar daddy who is happy to lose millions in signing quality......

The reality....... Ange needs to by one or two quality players in each transfer window......
.....mind you..... he needs to win against Rangers and Southampton or he may not make it to 2025

I was watching the game from overseas and kept losing the feed but from what I could see, the game rested on small margins, As has happened often, we don’t kill the game off and as has happened often our cb’s get injured. Definitely came back too soon, I think dragu should have started.
I still think mentality is a big issue, why oh why did they both lunge in so much for the penaltys? Particularly as they weren’t final goal saving attempts

 

Who’s Ange’s best player by the way? Let’s hear it … and then we can compare against the top sides.

Interesting listening to Jamie Carragher on sky sports saying that the horrendous errors we keep making is down to the fact that spurs play at such a frantic pace that they are bound to be stretched to the limit and tire quickly.Is this why we should be changing the way we play and sit back sometimes.I think this is what amazes people that he won’t even consider a change of tactics.Lets be honest to play his way neeeds quality in all positions and we are never going to get that with Levy holding thr purse strings

 

Maybe with a fuller fitter and deeper squad he can play this style but plans each game at 55 minutes to replace 4 or 5 players to finish. A bit like in rugby where you aren’t a sub but are planned to come on and finish the game

 

Nice theory but does not allow for injuries in game

 

Just seen Romeros interview comments to Spanish news paper about Levy’s lack of investment.What he has said is correct but is that the death knell for his spurs career as Conte did not last long after his criticism

Let’s hope 5 or 6 others come out with the same thing then it would be hard to get rid of all. Maybe they are rallying around Ange and change is coming!

I have to agree that I’m not sure why Ashley Phillips was loaned out when he’s young, quick and experienced at playing in England. I would have started him over Dragusin to be honest as he seems a better fit for the system
