I think players as young as him have to be nurtured well. Throwing him as the main man too soon won’t be beneficial in my opinion. I think he looks great and will be a good talent but best to feed him in slowly. Coming off the bench with less pressure for a few games first. Look how pep brought foden through.
Also remember there are certain fans who crucify a player if he isn’t superb straight away and every week , Johnson anyone? Wouldn’t want a 17 year old to go through that

I am not saying he should play every game just this one if son is out.Why is it we don’t do what they do in Spain and play teenagers if they are good enough.spains best player at euros was17.maybe it is easier away from the premiership. No body told Rooney he was to young or Michael Owen

I said to play him , just not to put too much pressure on him at an early age with starting. Ease him in properly.
Unfortunately I can’t quote the hundreds of good players who got eased in to a starting line up position, naming 2 exceptions doesn’t make it right and Owen’s career ended early, maybe more care earlier may have helped

Props to Johnson for getting his goal scoring mojo on, but he’ll have to show more before I change my opinion about him. For top 4/Champions League level, he’s a decent squad player. He would be a star in the Championship.

Some players mature late, hopefully that will be him. But again, congrats to him for shutting up those miscreants who personally attacked him online.

I think you are probably correct with Johnson. But I also think he was probably bought for that role. Fast player to come on in the second half

Okay! I will take it to the bank in good faith … win draw or lose I think we will give it a very good shake

What a balls up .2-0 up now 3-2 down .Defending like schoolboys and Ange just stands with his hands in pockets.DO something for gods sake. Now he brings on 2 subs but not a Striker clueless I am afraid .pretty football for an hour then as usual collapso and run out of ideas we seriously must look at a defensive coach which does nor mean going boring as Conte just common sense..The top 4 have a defensive coach and is a must if Ange won’t then I am afraid we will never win a thing so what do you want pretty football or a trophy

Unless we get a coach in to teach us to defend then Ange will have to go I am afraid .I am sick to death of the excuse that this is the way we play and I won’t change.Do change because I am sick to death of being the laughing stock.Just because we beat the worst man united team in ten years we start getting excited,Our worst start since Ramos and he was sacked soon after.Romero needs to be left out because he is costing us week in week out but Ange lacks the guts to do it.Why when teams fight back do we lack backbone Spursy I am afraid has returned to haunt us

Funny I was thinking at half time that maybe the penny has finally dropped with this team. But what followed then was the worst half of football I’ve seen in a long time … and against a very average opponent. It was not just the 3 laughable goals … shocking Udogie seemingly at fault for all of them … but rather we simply didn’t look like scoring in the second half. So flat and disjointed … no energy … standing off … yet still pitched high up the pitch. Bizarre.

    Back to square one.

Postecoglou does a very good job in the play and in the offensive aspect but his lack of reaction and his management during the match is catastrophic! Waiting until the 78th minute to bring in 2 midfielders instead of a midfielder and an attacker is lamentable. Especially when you lose 3-2! No immediate tactical adaptation after 1-2??? We stay with only one defensive midfielder and we believe that the opponent will retreat into his own camp? Why keep Werner who scares no one and not bring in Bissouma just after this first Brighton goal? And if I find that Postecoglou has his share of responsibility for his tactical management, what can I say about Romero who is nowhere on the 3 goals? His slowness and lack of involvement in the last 16 meters is inexcusable. Today, defeat is a professional mistake!!!

We all have a say win or lose and not everybody agrees with our opinion but I am going to pose a question for this site and would appreciate an honest answer. Will we win anything under this manager. Not is the football good to watch but will we win anything.I personally like Ange but he is so overrated by himself and will not win unless we learn to defend .Has it not occurred to him that the top 4 can all defend and still play attacking football.Imagine having the Arsenal back four and they have reserves who defend better than us.This is tactics because individually our back four are all internationals but have you ever seen Romero make errors for Argentina like he does for us

I totally share your opinion Preed. We all like the lively, fast and resolutely offensive game advocated by Ange. I think the players appreciate it too. However, the lack of defensive rigor will cost us many points again and again. To win titles you need warriors ready to give everything to protect their goalkeeper and their own goal. This is not the case with our Spurs currently. Before scoring more goals than our opponent, you have to know how to defend and we don't know! Udogie is not at the level of last season. Porro is excellent offensively but he was ridiculed by Mitoma and Romero is not a captain who masters his subject and directs his defense. Comparing him to Van Dijk or Saliba would be an insult to these two truly excellent defenders!
All the coaches who have won titles have based their success on solid defense. You just have to see how the teams of Ancelotti, Fergie, Emery or Klopp play. Ange could one day be one of these great gentlemen but first, he must be ready to be self-critical. Is he?

Beat a few farmers, reserves and a **** 10 men utd.

Spurs fans start lauding it up embarrassing themselves again.

We play a half decent side and go from 0-2 up to total capitulation 2nd half and lose 3-2.

It's only a suprise to the permanently deluded.

Played 3 decent teams all season and lost to all of them.

    Childish, unprofessional football

I asked a question but nobody gives me an answer will we win anything under this man??If not why are we stretching out the agony.Watching him today he doesn’t see the change in the play and do something about it until 10 minutes from the end when we are losing. It is embarrasing to hear two of our better old players saying it was Spursy on tv today I see that staveley is interested in buying shares does that mean we might start paying for top players instead of 2nd class
