It will take up to £24million if we are to prise Wilfried Bony from Swansea City, according to London Evening Standard.

Spurs have been long-term admirers of Bony alongside Arsenal and Liverpool since his move to England from Vitesse in 2013, but both sides are yet to make a move for the Ivory Coast frontman.

Swansea are adamant that if they are to sell Bony, they will need to at least double the £12million they paid for him last season – or else demand players in exchange. That could be a problem for Spurs who have already taken two of Swansea’s best players in Ben Davies and Michel Vorm, exchanging midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson for the latter.

Bony managed an impressive 16 Premier League goals last season and has 25 in 48 in all competitions for the Swans. He also managed to bag two goals at this summer’s World Cup, striking versus Japan and from the bench against Greece.

He would add bulk to the attacking force in Spurs’ side, which looks a bit lightweight as it stands, with Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado our only senior strikers.

However £24million seems to be a hefty pricetag, something that Daniel Levy is likely to turn his nose up at, while Swansea may not want to deal with Spurs for the fourth time this summer.

Who's named the price tag? I havent seen anything official off swansea city to say its 24m or he isnt going?
I cant see him going to spurs, Arsenal would be his team if anything as it would mean champions league football.

Why would Spurs buy a forward who (along with Ade) would go to play in the African Nations cup, leaving us with Harry Kane (and possibly Soldado if not sold) for 2 months in the middle of the season??
