Understood. You wanted Spurs to win. 3:0? 2:0? Should that happened how many Spurs supporters would come to THS to watch the second game next Thursday? Now they will. Risky? Yes, the 0:0 score was better, but it is what it is. Nuno will practice penalty shooting. Levy will review the ticket sales numbers.

Dear lord….last season our squad was on a par with a Utd who somehow managed to punch way above their weight in terms of form. They were only saved by the fact everyone else was terrible. Not sure who has ever said that we have a squad on a par with PSG though…I can’t remember reading that anywhere on here.

So, just to close this off as you seem to keep bringing it up….last season, I would only have taken 4 utd players (based on cost/salary).
This season, they have added another couple of high quality players so I would take them without doubt (Varane and Sancho).

Tell us? Who has actually said our squad is better than Utd or on a par with PSG?

2nd competitive game, away in Portugal, 3 days after beating Man City and it was a 2 leg game. Not sure what the moaning is about at this stage….let’s play them at home and if we lose then, fill your boots.

It was definitely you who said our squad was better than Utds.
So at least own up to it.

I am amazed at some of your comments spurporter .Do you really think we played for a draw or narrow defeat so the gate money will go up for the second leg.Why are we practicing penalties when with half of our full squad we should beat this team by 3 goals if not we really are a poor team. This was down purely to Nuno thinking our youngsters and the likes of Winks and Carter Vickers were better than they were.I am hoping he has learnt a lesson and I suspect he won’t make the same mistake again unless he has decided that this cup is more hassle than it’s worth

I suggest you check back….I said I would only take 4 of their players….that being said, last season, I would say our squad was better than theirs. This season may be a bit different with their new signings however

So a Premier league squad can have up to 25 players and you'd of only taken 4 of Utds over ours that's pretty much saying that 21 of our players are superior to theirs.
Only 1 massive flaw in all this, they finished 2nd n we finished 7th.

So you saying that you want these players over who we have:
Grant, Lindeloff, Bailey, Jones, Dalot, Telles, Tuansebe, Mengi, Williams, Mata, Lingard, Perira, James, Fred, Amad, Pellestri, Matic, Garner, Hannibal, Martial, Cavani, Rashford, Elanga, Chong and Shoretire?

Thats 25 above….which leaves the following (excluding the 4 I mentioned) who you and Preed both know would improve us:
De Gea (unreliable), Shaw (only been good for last 6 months), Pogba (unreliable and too expensive), Van de Beek (been poor so far, McTominay (no better than PEH) and Greenwood (rather have Son).

I don’t care where they finished because the league was so poor last season, they could just as easily have finished 7th and we finished higher.

If you and Preed think that the above is at least 8 players better than us then good on you both…I don’t and would have only taken Henderson, Wan Bisaka, Fernandes and maybe Maguire. The rest would have been just as good, if not worse that what we have IMO hence why I wouldn’t want them

I’m saying we already have a couple of lazy, uninterested, moody players that can be amazing called Dele & Ndombele and they dont cost £400k per week. As far as McTominay, is he better than PEH or Skipp? I don’t think he is…I’m not saying we couldn’t improve with players like Bissouma but I’ll stand by the fact Utd are about as good as us in terms of squad

anyone read the article about Winks shouting at Gil to stay in position and not roam (in Thursday's game) .

Two things for me....... Winks isn't good enough to shout an opinion at anyone....
And it already seems he was looking to change Gil's game. If he's a roamer..... and becomes a good player for us.. let him play his game.... and you (Winks) cover him. Oh and try not to foul or feck it up.

okay...... three things...... the article ends saying Winks could stay for his leadership! ...... oh ffs! a statement like that is very worrying.......but hopefully not made by anyone at the club

The article is by will butcher of the boot room and if he thinks Winks isleadership material he should go and report on cricket. He thinks Nuno would have been impressed I hope not or did mr butcher not notice that Winks lost the ball that eventually led to goal against

And just like a juke box the tunes change on request.

Have you had a look at our current squad?
Have a look on Premier League website, we've got 14 academy players registered that's not including Tanganga Skipp etc.

We have an awful squad and unless you're gonna pretend there's quality in Sanchez Rodon Winks Sissoko Ndombele LoCelso Bergwijn Alli we're inferior in lots of positions not only in 1st team quality but depth aswell.

  17. THFC Guest

Let’s leave last seasons squads alone and agree to disagree…z

I'd keep Rodon...... but the rest can go.......

The good thing about the match against Wolves was the win.

    The rest...
I'm not quite sure why Spurs midfielders often drop so far down as to be level with defenders. Both when defending and when trying to get the ball upfield. Having a midfielder drop down to be RB while the RB pushes up does not help the team to get the ball upfield, the result appears to be that one passing option disappears.
Then seeing midfielders playing back the ball to almost exactly the place where the ball came from? I suppose that it makes sense if someone had come to stop the midfielder from turning with the ball and/or if other players made movements but it doesn't seem to be the case.

No 1 crying about defending a 1-0 lead today?
No 1 crying about being totally outplayed?

We should be very thankful Wolves were so wasteful in the final 3rd coz they absolutely dominated us n played us off the park.

This team that everyone thinks should just attack everyone is lacking so badly in quality footballers, intelligence, movement.

There's no depth at all and this squad will get badly exposed over the season.

But 6 points from 6 as a start can't complain about that.
