I think managers should..... if they perform as badly as some of ours.

Premadonna players need the supporters to know what the manager thinks.....or else we perhaps too easily blame the manager. (and we have enough to moan at him about )

The best kind of defensive work done by Son was in this match: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/54135440
Playing centrally, focussing on being ready for the counter rather than defending the wing. Might not be the prettiest football and possibly even a bit unfair to take advantage of a team pushing up but I'd rather have him scoring those kind of goals than tracking back and defending.

The formation change was a bad idea, the substitution was a good idea.

Statistically Spurs have the 4th best attack and 4th best defence in the league based on GF & GA.
It's not pretty it's not fluid it never has been.
Players have badly let 2 managers down the unprofessionalism that's been allowed to fester within this squad is just a case of reaping what is sewn.
A shambles of a board, compliant Managers, overhyped bang average comfy players and happy clappy failure worshipping fans.
It's a complete recipe for where we belong.
The only way I believe JM keeps or deserves to stay is to finish top 4 and at least make a proper game of the cup final.
Failure to do that n I'll be on board with the Jose out let's get a project manager in.
But all these bars n standards need to be kept for the next guy especially from the most vocal critics on here.
Don't wanna hear the players aren't good enough it's all about the coaching remember.

Just shows you that stats can’t be trusted .If we are 4th in goals for and against we should surely be sitting comfortably in the top 3.The only reason we are not is the 15 points dropped from winning positions due to what??Bad game management or lack of ability or the fact that we sit back after taking lead due to Mourinos fear.

From unprofessional players incapable of doing the basics and staying switched on for 90+ minutes.

  6. Goal difference is always a good metric for where a team truly belongs. We’re tied 3rd with +19 which suggests we are underachieving points wise presently. We’ve all seen why.

A good example of overachieving is Everton 2005... miraculously finished 4th despite a goal difference of -1. Were quickly booted out of the Champions League and then UEFA Cup the following year.

  7. The standard has remained the same for all Spurs managers these last 10 years... so no manager is going to get a free ride especially when we’re paying him 15 million a season.

11 straight years we’ve qualified for Europe I believe so the expectation here is that is par for the course

If Jose manages Champions League then he will have done very well... just like the previous manager. If he fails to get into Europe at all? Well... he should be fired. Pochettino was very close to that in his first term

We’ve got a top 4 squad but so does 5 other clubs... the manager therefore will take the accolades or take the fall

interesting reading reports of Scott Parker taking over from JM if Fulham are relegated.
with Ledley in the back room team.
I don’t think he has the experience we require....but knows the club

I still think DL will give JM another season.....and support him in the summer transfer window

According to today’s unsurprising newsKane wants away if we don’t qualify for champion league. Can’t blame him and if it happens and we get huge fee for him then do we want Mourino being given the money to rebuild as his judgement on transfers so far has been disasterous. This is the day we have all been dreading and even if Levy digs his heels in refuses the transfer the damage is done.I am preparing for another period of mid table mediocrity. Please oil barons somewhere come to our rescue

Only Man City, Chelsea & Aston Villa have conceded more goals than us. Only Top 3 have scored more than us.

Unprofessional players or Same Manager with Different Players Insisting on Same Tactic which has failed over and over again. Relying on a one-goal lead and sitting back and defend while many consider a two-goal lead to be precarious. You we let opponents create chances and hope to catch them on our counter-attack. It's now SOP for our opponents to foul Kane even when he's in our half and not allow him the half-turn and release Son. Our counter-attacks are not not effective anymore which see Son's goal return drop drastically. If we had been more gutsy, could we possibly be in Top 4?

Same Manager with Different Players Insisting on Same Tactic - something Jose knows but is too stubborn to change for ego's sake.

Just seen today’s team Dier playing??Who will give away penalty today Dier or Aurier or will it be a needless free kick given away by one of these idiots.I am sure Dier is Mourinos love child or why else would he pick him

    The subs today :(
Sissoko is not the player to bring in to protect a lead. He was directly at fault for two goals against Zagreb and he never ever competes in a midfield battle. The result is defending deep and the outcome has often been a loss.

& Son is a striker, he is extremely poor in defending. When he is supposed to be defending he is about 5 meters away from his closest opponent. No point in giving him defensive duties, put him central. He works hard but his positioning and defending are terrible.
Plan for him not doing anything in defence and maybe that pla can work.

Ndombele is class, Son is a great finisher. Rodon looks solid and Moura causes confusion in the opposition. Kane was doubled up on, too bad it couldn't be taken advantage off.

Possibly there should have been a sending off, however, the non-sending-off is no excuse for putting in Sissoko as Sissoko is not a big game player.

Who was Dier marking for their second goal and what was Aurier doing.when you see Dier Sissoko and Aurier on the same pitch there is only one result. Two one down and Bale and Ali on bench and he brings on Sissoko and Lamela.Third goal just the icing on the cake and Pogba brushed Dier away so easily.Pleaseno more of this **** and get rid of Mourino now. I don’t care who comes in because we are in for a period of mid table mediocrity and there is no way we will attract top players now.I am fast losing patience with the rubbish players and I include Ndombele in that because he may be skilful but. Is so laid back and lazy.Levy has finally brought us to our knees and I can’t see any solution

Now the dust has settled and my bad mood has dissipated what can be done to stop this pain I go through every time I watch this shambolic team.We have bad players I know but I am sure we can put out Eleven players who will fight for the badge which the current lot are not doing. No more can I justify Mourinos team selections .How can he put Dier on instead of Aldy.I know he is not getting any younger but he is younger than the Leicester man who rarely misses a game.Sissoko should never be in the team especially when chasing a win how on earth does he get in the french squad..I love Son but he cannot defend and should be played in a system that does not need him to.Mourino for all his bluster really is a tactical dinosaur who has not moved forward. and has no idea how to stop the rot .we have now set a record of points dropped from winning positions something to add to his CV.I find it amazing that this site was buzzing in pochetinos time but now even the old faithfuls have stopped posting.I assume like me you are all exhausted with the monotony produced by this shambolic outfit.I bet Amazon would not like to do a follow up.just to finish did any one else think the gnomes remarks about Son were totally hypocritical whe he has the ace diver in Fernandes maybe he won’t get any dinner

Surely time must be rapidly running out for the special one...the one who constantly chooses strange formations and makes confusing player selections.

That Utd team are not great yet to be fair to them, they have taken advantage in one of poorest seasons in memory for team quality. They are playing without quality for so many minutes this season but snatching results here and there due to the lack of quality in almost every game from the teams they are playing. Every single time I watch them, they look so beatable but somehow this season, they are getting results.

This season was a chance for JM to show just what he could do with a squad of players with mixed ability but potential to do more. Instead, our players have shown no sign of improvement, our squad morale has been destroyed and our insistence to park the bus when we take the lead has cost so many points.

Yes, some of the players are at fault however they seem to be playing with no confidence at all. The responsibility sits firmly with the man who picks them and with any luck, the silver lining to finishing behind West Ham and Chelsea this season (and probably losing to City in all truth) will be the fact he goes.

For this club to move forward it needs to get rid of both Keepers, both RBs, 4 CBs, 1 LB, 3 CMs, 4 AMs and they all need to be upgraded.

That's what happens when you have the same spending levels as Brighton over the last 5 years and you allow more quality to leave than you bring in.

If you think we deserve to be top 4 or challenging with this sort of situation or buisness model then you're deluding yourselves.

Since the break up of the 16/17 team/spine we've only ever had a Kane & Son punchers chance of top 4 and even they're beginning to look worn out by it all.

I agree but there is one problem with what you keep saying and that is JM.

Most of us could list multiple, young players from other teams, who are potentially available or realistic targets...even if we need to swap out 10. With the money we would get for players like Sanchez, Dier, Winks, Lamela and the rest we could easily improve our squad.

Problem is, we will sell them and if JM stays will then Sign Fellaini, Vestergaard and a whole bunch of other players in their late 20’s or early 30’s who suit good ol’ fashioned hoof ball then in 12 months time, you will all be on here saying we need another clear out
