We can't play the same team every single game

There has to be rotation to cope

The fact of the matter is as I've said all season the squads not good enough

Good performance topped by Kane and Bale showing class.Still don’t think Winks contributed anything and although Moura is industrious and basically created the first goal he still gives the ball away far to easily at times which is a shame as he has got genuine pace which can be an asset used properly.Nice not to have worry about Dier giving a goal away

  5. Not good enough for what exactly?

To win 21 matches in a row? Of course not

To compete for top 4 and silverware? Easily so

Redknapp had a point... football is not necessarily that complicated a game. You don’t need 70 page dossiers... just frickin pick your best players and let them play

  6. Good aggressive performance

Lucas is in fine touch... if he’s guilty of anything it’s trying too much

He occasionally does so because he’s busting his arse trying to make something happen for the team

    Good player

Still can’t agree with your assessment of Moura jose3d .He could be a good player if he knew when to release the ball and was not so easy to knock off the ball.I agree he works his socks off but needs to slow down sometimes andyou did not comment on another non event with Winks

  8. Jose's Ghost Guest

Fair appraisal of the weakness in his game

On the flip side he is highly industrious super skilful very quick and surprisingly good in the air for someone so short... but yes somewhat of a physical lightweight

Still anyone with 35 caps for Brazil is welcome to get a run at Spurs

As for Winks... he seemed solid enough today. I don't recall him spraying any balls into touch (his general remit) but then I wasn't able to watch every single second of this game.

But no I don't believe he is good enough to command minutes at a top club nor has he ever been. I appreciate Jose figured that out sometime ago.

This has to be the dumbest view point of football going, what's the point of having squads if you just pick the same 11 every match?

Besides the fact we've had injuries & players struggling for fitness we've also played the most games of any side in Europe this season.

You need a squad and you need rotation throughout a season especially if you're fighting on 4 fronts. That's why you need not just a squad numbers wise but you need quality.

It shows massively when Davies has to play ahead of Reg for instance but he's the alternative so we have to play him when Reg is injured or needs a rest.

Screaming "just pick your best players" shows the level of understanding embarrassing.

I expect our best 11 (if available) vs big opposition & crunch games, but their has to be flexibility against lesser sides

Much better managers than you ie SAF or JM have done this and been very successful for decades, yet Josés ghost thinks he knows better.

It was a good performance yesterday some great goals the players who came in actually had decent games and of course in Bale & Kane we have 2 world class players who when fit n firing can destroy teams.

Gawd you're slow on the uptake... as a fellow Spurs fan I would find it quite embarrassing if it weren't so humorous

Redknapp may not have been its greatest exponent but in modern football the notion of squad rotation is ubiquitous... it is not a point of debate. So why you would come to the conclusion that someone would argue against it is beyond common sense... but then again common sense is clearly not your forte

It was a simple point so rather than listen to you blabber on about the virtues of what is obvious let me explain it to you

Until a week ago Jose had not picked his best 11 at any point this season

Bale... 2 starts in 24 games... Dele... 1 start in 24 games... Alderweireld has been played sporadically... Lucas has been played sporadically... Ndombele has been played out of position for most of the season to accomodate players such as Winks

With his job on the line the manager has pulled his head out of his own arse and done his job properly

Lo and behold look at the results this past week

Spurs actually have a good side... who would have guessed?

What is he doing again pairing Dier and Sanchez who have been disasterous when together all season.I know he wants to rotate because of the number of games coming up but surely this is the most important game to win .No Hojbjerg or reguillon or Bale either. If he thinks players need resting why not Kane and Son .I would have thought strongest team at home and try to get good lead and rest players in return but then I am not the self proclaimed greatest

Decent result but really should have been 3 or 4. Can’t understand Mourinos subs at times .why bring on Bergwin for Lamela who then misses a sitter .Thought the ref tonight was a disgrace as they got away with thuggery all night.Still an away goal should see us through.Nice quarter against the scum

2-0 robbed of a blatant penalty too.

    Roll on the NLD

Doherty is so bad....the left footed player he is facing can only kick with his left foot so why step forward on his inside to see him out wide onto the good kicking foot. Not only was the step forward an error because like every week it gives the other team a head start in a foot race but force Tierney in on to his right foot and it would have been rolled across or back to someone. We will always concede while we have a choice of Doherty and Aurier at RB.

    On a positive note....Lamela...unreal

Never a penalty, VAR is just pointless. That being said Sanchez shouldn’t have dived in. We have been so poor, it’s not funny

Watched the NLD on a bad network... Lots of freeze-frames and too often the freeze-frame had Lacazette surrounded by two Spurs CBs and two Spurs DMs. No wonder that the midfield was lost when both DMs weren't in the midfield.
A bit of leadership needed, someone to say - "Push up, I (or we) got this".

The weakest areas for me is DM.
Moura might have the build of a winger but his best position is CAM. Maybe Lo Celso might become a better CAM but for now Moura is the best CAM at Spurs.

Lucas was our MOM today. How that can be Lucas? In a NLD I want 11 or more MOM with an exceptionnal fighting spirit but we were Poor today! And please no more Doherty on the pitch ! What is Mou thinking about him ? Why no Aurier or any U23 ? If you look at their both fullbacks I think that our scouting is quite bull@hit... What a bad result, what a bad day

Anybody else as p***ed off as I am losing to that pile of dung.Once again Mourino gets it wrong in selection .How can you have Doherty and Bale on the same side of the formation giving their full back the freedom to attack us.Having said that I don’t think it was a penalty as their idiot forward had already sliced wide although Sanchez was stupid lunging in.I will hold my hand up for Moura who gave everything after the sending off and almost dragged us to a point.why does it take us until we have gone behind to wake up and attack .Is it the managers instructions or do we freeze as at least 6 players did not come anywhere near their best game today.Ndombele was awful as was Doherty Kane Bale and Sissoko when he came on.Lamela by far our best player until the red mist appeared and it was obvious it was coming and maybe Jose should have pulled him.I think a couple of results against weaker teams have lifted our expectations but forget the top four as it won’t happen.Unless City have their mind on greater things we won’t win a thing this season and do we then keep the greatest coach in the world or look to change for someone who does not stifle attacking players.Although I believe Kane and Son will be gone by then and who would blame them.Nobody likes their team losing but to see their players celebrating like the have won the league has really P***ed me off

Awful performance all round, typically Tottenham.
NLD and barely anyone put up a fight or even broke a sweat.
The loss of Son early didn't help, barring Doherty & Sanchez that was practically our best team.
I'm not having it that Hojbjerg & N'Dombele are top quality can barely think of 3 games all season theyve dominated the midfield and they were woefully poor today.
Doherty has been an awful buy not sure why he was chosen ahead of Aurrier but then he's prone to a brain fart anyway.
Bale was poor, Kane was poor, Reg was poor.
The attitude was appalling today energy levels were non existent (except for Moura), again this goes back to having to play so many games with same players because the squad is shocking.
There's absolutely no excuse for being outplayed by inferior opposition player wise especially in a Derby.
It was a complete sh!t show from start to finish.
Lamelas performance was basically a cut n shut of his whole career, come on as a sub out of necessity, can't use his right foot so is forced into using the Rabona which he pulled off today making him look half decent, before doing niggly stupid fouls n getting sent off probably not to be seen again for a few more games.
We aren't top 4 quality we haven't been really for 3 seasons having scraped our last finish there and a flukey run to the final, the only reason we still have any chance is because of the state of the league n the punchers chance we have with Kane.
Nothing has changed there, the transfer buisness over the past 3-4 years has been shambolic and is why we've gone backwards.
There's no good news on the horizon either as already we're hearing the sell to buy flawed strategy is to be pursued again in the summer.
I suggest with where we are in the season we have no option but to back the team & manager in the 2 cups and then revise what's happening in the summer, I'm not fussed with if JM stays or is moved on for another project but as I keep saying and will continue to until theres significant upgrading of the 1st team & squad whoever is in charge is flogging a dead horse.
Today was totally unacceptable from all

Horror show everywhere. Wrong tactics, midfield so poor, losing Son a blow. PEH and Ndombele delivered nothing....I could carry on but what’s the point. With Aurier on the bench he’s fit, start him ffs, rather than the rabbit that is Doherty. JM tactics so painful to watch, we never started. I’ve seen some dross this season but this was the NLD ffs.....
