Just a word of caution if we lose and that is possible with our record at Old Trafford then we will be 14th in league which was where we were when Pochetino got sacked.Just joking because of the new signings who should push us up the league .Hope fully Mourino will press and not sit back because you know United will get a penalty if we just defend.Their back four is no better than ours so attack it

Great scoreline! Strangely enough I think the performance against Newcastle was marginally better and that was only a draw.

I guess you have problem with the word "dung" but not "talking nonsense". I just thought of them as synonyms. Again, we must be wearing different spectacles

Nothing to celebrate again. I am sure.

You knew they would get a penalty.Stupid by Sanchez. There after you could not have asked for more.Ignore the sending off because we should have scored 4 before that.Ndombele looking class and Hojbjerg looks a snip actually winning duels in midfield.Son and Kane back to their best.Cant justify Lamela actions but we have had sending offs for less.Am I getting happy to early because with our new signings we should be a match for anyone I may have to admit that Jose is the man I thought he was when we first signed him.Best Sunday for a year even better than sex.Aurier looked a good wing back maybe we should keep him as cover

Great result today. JM will be delighted to score 6 at his old club. As are we.
The sending off was always going to be given.....but surprised VAR didn't look at Lemela's arm. But there you go we deserved something at last from VAR.

Hojbjerg pass to Aurier for his goal was top drawer.
We were at the races today. JM needs credit for that.
...... we probably could do without the break

Credit where credit is due Jose...not only for this result and performance but for the last 8 games.

We have had a very tough and busy run but have played exceptionally well.

To turn Ndombele around in the manner he has is impressive.

The football is developing from deep sitting punt ball to quality counter attacking at lightening speed.

The documentary shed a lot of light on what JM was asking vs what the players were doing. It seems that they are listening to him now and the additions have made a very big impact.

I take my hat off for the performances over the last few weeks and long may they continue.

I don’t think we have ever had a much better chance for a trophy based on what we have seen over the last few weeks and the way JM has actually turned us around.

It seems humble pie about what he is doing may be in order....

Magnificent result and performance against what appeared on paper to be a very good lineup. Spurs are ultra confident presently which is a credit to the manager. The massive upswing in belief not so strangely coincides with the arrival of Bale... which is also a credit to the manager. Big players want to play for big managers... perhaps Bale goes elsewhere if not for Jose.

The balance in midfield today was ideal. If we're playing 433 (which is preferred) then this is our best lineup. Hojbjerg's intelligence and grit (my he can also pick a pass!)... Sissoko's size and athleticism... Ndombele's skill and creativity. The only downside is there is not a lot of depth... particularly if we play three. We're absolutely loaded in the forward positions... not so much in the middle of the park.

I wouldn't be giving Jose too much credit for Ndombele... the lad has always been top class. If Jose deserves kudos here it is for not shooting himself in the foot as was the case last year. Different players require different approaches... I am pleased to see Jose has changed tact with Tanguy this term and Tanguy has responded in kind. You don't bench Ronaldinho because he doesn't close down or track back like Craig Bellamy... that is an extreme example but I trust you get the point.

At full strength (Bale hasn't even stepped on the pitch yet) Spurs will be very difficult to beat... a few key injuries could change that. Jose deserves a lot of credit for the past week but let's not forget opening day either... we're sitting 6th. Nevertheless with a little bit of luck I believe the drought will be broken this season... and who knows... should we maintain the level of yesterday it may well be more than just a tin cup (Liverpool just got pumped 7-2 and Man City are a little bit at sea).

Well hands up from me, Jose that was a great performance, on the back of a spirited good performances over the previous four games. I’ve not been your supporter, but the Amazon documentary started to change my view - then scoring 5,7,6 goals, 12 of which were away really helped - we all of a sudden look like prospects.

Chelski and Manure were, in recent times, banana skins. We don’t win 6 pointers or key Cup games against top sides .... except We have here.

This was a fantastic all-around team performance. Lamela and Ndombele for the first, Kane and Son, then Son and Kane, then Sissoko, Aurier and Son for the fourth, PEH and Aurier for the fifth, Davies winning the pen, Kane converting for the sixth. You couldn’t make it up.

From here the key thing will be staying injury free and if we can get a centre back over the line, it fills a key weakness in the current side.

So many things done well in the match. It is always easier to see what is wrong than what is right and in this case there is an abundance of things done right.

-Kane dropped down, thus pulled some defenders out of position and someone (Son) took advantage of that
-Lamela went central, Shaw followed with and Aurier took advantage of the opened up space
-Höjbjerg showed he's also a skilled passer

The tricky part might be keeping confidence high while avoiding getting arrogant. The only undroppables, Kane and Son, seem to be training hard no matter what. The competition for places in the starting eleven might keep other players from getting arrogant and lazy. Still early days but I have a lot more confidence in this season than in the previous one.

Seems that we are now after John rod don from Swansea a centre back that Ryan giggs recommended to united and also city were interested in.Will certainly cost less than the Milan man and has got good reviews from a lot of managers in the championship

Thanks for your concern I'm fine as always.

Glad we've got a winner in charge at last and glad we've freshened up the side after years of neglect.

As I said a few years back players need to be challenged and have to earn their place in the team through performance and hard work.

JM has the balls to drop time wasters like Alli, and make big calls for the good of the team it's what I want to see.
He also hasn't pandered to Levy and let him get away with neglect he's been pro active in identifying what he wants and getting them in, no nonsense buys and hasn't broken the bank either.

I said in an earlier post that I could see a team spirit and identity beginning to form again for the 1st time in a long time and with the improvement of certain players we are definitely heading in the right direction again.

Said all along it was too early to judge JM as he had a lot of work to do to turn around a sinking ship and think he's done a brilliant job so far all whist the nay sayers, Pocheteers, dinosaur tactics, bus parking accusers, wrong appointment people were grumbling.

Was a great performance Vs Utd the thorough tonking we've owed them for a while.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Son Kane Bale attack and towards the season for the 1st time in a while.

    A happy Felon82

JM is a winner, he has demanded the backing and he's gotten it. Definitely deserves credit for that, and he brought in realistic good tough players; he's really molding this team in the image that suits him. He makes his demands, and when they aren't meant; JM is ready to walk away and make his complaints public. He's a winner, there's no denying it. I'm excited to see how far he can take us this season!!

I also like that he prioritizes trophies; no matter how big or small. It's all part of establishing a winner mentality.

It’s great that we have found our mojo again.I thought the midfield against united worked really well and that includes Sissoko. When you consider that de celso was not playing as well as Bale where will this leave Winks.Still gets picked by Southgate for England but never convinces me .Does not defend very well and does not create or score goals.Maybe Mourino can change the way he plays because I believe There is a footbaler in there if not he could be bench warming for a while

Peh and sisoko are a good balance in the middle, for all his limitations Sisoko's athletic ability is needed, he has pace power that shuts down a lot of opposition counter attacks.
At present Loco and Nd are not fit enough to play together, rotating them means there's always a quality player on the bench.

The quality on the bench is always a statement and spurs when all are fit will have a serious bench. Coys

The thing about winks is he hasn't got a stand out quality and he hasn't mastered how to play in any of the midfield roles ( Dm, Cm, Am) I always think of him as a 5 a side player neat and tidy. Not a bad squad player to have, however, if he cannot be 1st choice ahead of sisoko, this season i doubt he will next as i am sure spurs will be in the market for a player who is better than sisoko next summer. Does anyone feel like I do with Winks - drive into the space ahead of you lad, instead of passing backwards or sideways.....it’s as if he lacks the confidence to do so....take some risks winky!
