At best, as you point out, we are still light 4 players, as we were before the month started, so it remains a buggers muddle. For me there is only one saving grace and that is that Jose, the Special One, has the ability to get DL to do what he hasn’t done in my memory - spend on his credit card.....mmmm....

If it’s the only option, I’ll suffer him.......not having a CF is far worse than an ex Gooner/Scum player - we accepted Gallas didn’t we, needs must.....

Yes, I am. I wouldn't call them Poch selections, but these are Hitchen's picks. Poch is not a scout, not like Guardiola or Klopp or Wenger. He relied on Hitchen and on Mitchell prior. MU were rumored to attempt Mitchell's snatch from RB Leipzig. If they hire MP in the summer, Mitchell could come back to England. JM will bring in his Head Scout. In the summer I suppose.

LoCelso fits well with any manager MP or JM. He is Box to Box MF we lost when Dembele was sold. Ndobele is another one, but from holding MF base. Bergewijn is a utility winger that can play all 4 positions, including striker, but it is Lamela challenger at RMF. Sure Son and Eriksen played RMF, but Eriksen is gone, whilst Son have never had any success there. Fernandez is a playmaker, who had success playing with Piatek at Lille. He is Eriksen replacement.

Spurs must buy both Piatek and Giroud. This way Harry will be sold in the summer.

Firstly piatek never played for lille neither did gedson. Secondly bergwjin will primarily play wide left cutting in that's his speciality and I presume he's been signed to play his best position when all fit. I'm really excited by him the more I read the more I look forward to see him play. Exactly what we need and undoubtedly a Jose signing. Raw pace for quick counters. We lack pace in the final third. Alli and eriksen slow play down, Kane not rapid, lamela neither. Moura quick but a headless chicken who I presume the one who be replaced by the flying Dutchman said to be as quick as they come with and without the ball. I do agree there were more pressing positions to fill ie full bks and DM. Possibly a Centre half but that will be the next window I'd imagine. To do in one window near on impossible especially for paupers like levy.
We are starting to see a Jose rebuild. Pacey front line with lo celso moving the ball thru the lines much quicker than eriksen and alli who is in major trouble and probably moved on in the summer. Kwp gone, Rose, foyth and wanyama maybe to follow but I'd imagine time will run out to use the funds or squad place to replenish. On Giroud pls pls pls no. God no.

No abuse from me as I fully respect your opinion and some of the logic you use.

The thing is, IMO, we don’t need another slow moving 33 year old who may get a couple of premier league goals and mainly play in cup games.

We also don’t need an ex gooner no matter how dire the situation is upfront :)

Why would JM sell Dele in the Summer?

Dele has improved under Jm and is now slowly being trained to be a midfielder again. Under MP his game was mainly about pressing, Jm is reeducating Dele and i would not sell. Look at Deles scoring rate, that alone keeps him in the squad/team. Coys

Will be interested to see how Fernandes goes at united. I suspect he will be a hit and this will add embarrassment to Levy who could have bought him in the summer if he had not been so tight

Lo Celso is making me dream that we might have another Modric type player on our hands. Let's hope he can spend the best years of his career with us. Such a joy to watch these technical players shield the ball and cut lines of defense to ribbons with intricate through balls.

Loco's run that set up the goal vs Southampton reminded me of Messi. Some of the link up between Dele and Loco was good, Deles back heel that set loco up for the goal that son got in the way of, was great improvisation. Dele can be frustrating, however, Jm is changing his role and trying to make dele a more complete midfielder. Coys

What an absolute shambles of a window , it's gone from negligence to actual self harm

Did anyone think that this window would be any different from before. No planning as usual a worse than useless scouting network and unfortunately
nobody with the spunk to stand up to the little dictator who only cares about profit.Token buys to appease the sheep and nothing more.Bergwijn may turn out to be a good buy but where oh where are the defenders and defensive midfielder. At least we have removed the cancer that is Rose and ericson

How desperate have we become fighting with united for a second rate striker like Ighalo.

I see that Wanyama has priced himself out of yet another move away, and yet I read somewhere that so-called 'loyalty' bonuses are part of the problem with getting shot of him. What a contrast between wage thieves like him, Adebayor et al, and the likes of Perryman and Mabbutt, who showed real loyalty for a fraction of what Wanyama is screwing Spurs for - modern football!

You can't blame Wanyama there is no way he will get 60k a week again this is his last chance to plan for his future. He probably can't play at prem level anymore and will have to take a 50k pay cut, that's a massive amount of money. If spurs could find away to pay him off, it would be gracious to release him and put everyone out of their misery.

Tough game today, however, if spurs defend well, they could win this game. City are a good team, however, they have a weak defence which spurs could expose. Coys

Interesting comment from Danny Rose about his Newcastle debut "The will to defend and keep that clean sheet is something I haven't seen for a long time."
Pretty shitty thing to say about your ex(although in fact still current as he is on loan) team mates, glad he is not in the changing room anymore

Well, to me it's bad enough that players actually performing week in, week out are being paid two or three times more for seven days than the fans watching them get paid for an entire year, but when it's a player now in his fourth year at Spurs who actually had ONE good season - his first - but still takes a reported £65,000 per week whether he's in the treatment room, on the bench, or sitting in the stand (since he's clearly never going to be a first choice again), it sticks in my gullet, especially since it's affecting our ability to make very necessary improvements elsewhere in the squad. I remember our old fullback Mauricio Taricco voluntarily cancelling his contract when he suffered a bad injury just after signing for West Ham, because he didn't think it would be fair to take the money for giving nothing in return - I bet that would give Wanyama a good laugh if someone suggested him going the same.
