No easy games in the prem Norwich are a decent team on their day, i watched them beat M.city and thought they would stay up. They drew with Lester at the KP stadium so they can be a stubborn team.
Spurs played well in phases, however, the front 4 look out of sync and Son is off form and Moura is sooo frustrating, hopefully son's goal is the 1st of many and spurs get a striker so moura can get back on the wing.

    Loco looked good.
Hopefully Tanguy and Gedson can start making big contributions soon. Coys

On Sky Sports just now: "Barcelona Make Eriksen Enquiry"...

My first thought was: "Why?" :D

As I am always alluding to the transfer strategies or severe lack of, means that currently we have no recognised striker and are writing begging letters to lower level clubs for their outcasts.
If we do find someone the fee + wages if added to the fees + wages for Jannsen & Llorente we could've perhaps bought proper quality competition and support for Kane instead of wasting time and injuring/slowing Harry.
When we were strong it was essential we bought quality over quantity instead we have a catalogue of very poor cheap failures that were signed held onto paid and moved on having contributed nothing challenged No1 yet had we halved the amount of signings or more so but spent the same amount on less players but better quality we'd be in a much stronger position now.
Instead we are where we are looking for the next nobody to hang around on the pay roll out of desperation.

And if your of the opinion that we should have signed a proper multifunctional one. A real one not like Sonny who imo cannot play as a CF no9 type you can throw in the money from njie and nkoudou also which is another 20m plus llorente 12 janssen 18m you're up around the 50m figure. Who could you have signed with that kind of money 2 yrs ago. Aubamayang Werner vardy reus to name a few.
Honestly are we going to spend 18m on this nobody from sociedad who has the same amount of goals as arsenal and West ham flop lucas perez this term. He's missed 10 big chances and scored 6 big chances in his 8 goal tally this season. So he's netted only 2 half chances in 20 league games. His goals look scruffy and will be gobbled up by the better quality keepers in this league. We seem that with janssen that the goal scoring from one league don't necessarily carry in this unforgiving league. Also he scores headers yet we don't put the ball in the box from out wide again we seen that with llorente. Aurier puts the most balls in the 6 yard but he drills low and hard. I'd be breaking the bank for werner I really would. He's absolutely perfect for us.

It gets ever more painful Felon as we enter this last week of the transfer window, yet another Ground Hog Day. There can be only one man alive that thinks it’s right to not sign a striker - unfortunately he’s our Chairman. Watching the efforts of Moura struggle manfully is such a painful watch, as has been watching us this term. Ever since we signed Louis Saha I’ve been waiting and watching in hope, but it has all been in vain.....the joys of living life as a Y***o......COYS

He will piss that league I reckon. Time n space in a team that dominates possession with the movement of their front 2 or 3.

The lack of a central striker in the spurs squad means, Spurs either get one in the next 6 days or go with the present players. I haven't seen much business done and i doubt any team would consider selling their star striker at this time of year. The two names Piatek/Willian are the main links to spurs. Piatek reminds me of Klose the former Germany player. I haven't heard of Willian so have to take the spurs scouts on trust.
Spurs do need a striker whether any of these two are good enough is another question. COys

Ffs I happy with some of the younger players but lord do we need more up front and someone in the middle who can win the ball oh and a left back Tanga isn't a left back he drawn to the centre of defence too many times leaving acres of space stick him in the middle instead of Sanchez the boy is decent and Lo Celso looks decent although like to see how they both do against City maybe Levy will splash the Eriksen cash on at least a striker and a CDM but then again with our history I doubt it

Another game where it should be screaming at Levy that we need a striker ASAP.Moura is not the answer too lightweight. He does work hard when he loses ball unlike Ali but we are too easily bullied.Has Mourino got a downer on ndombele as we needed him on in last 20 mins to retain some possession.Tanganga should be centre half not left back although he was with celso the only bright thing in the game?At least we are still in the cup and maybe get a nice draw

Can someone explain to me why winks stayed the whole game on the field when it brings nothing? Neither defensively nor offensively ...! While Ndombele is much better and he stayed on the bench? Average match overall with once again Lo Celso who is our man of the match!

What do you make of the current rag bag of a team...a small squad, impacted by key player injuries and no-shows like Ndombele.

We’re being ripped apart by the current/persistent transfer policy - ffs it’s January 25th, we’ve no striker, none, and we are so paying the price for that and the poor investments in the past - Sanchez, Lamela, Aurier to name but three.

Playing Tanganga at left back is a painful watch, sits too narrow and it does nothing for the lad, reminds me of a strong Kyle Naughton - centre back instead of Sanchez for me, with Toby left side CB.

Gio....a player who works hard, beats players, takes knocks and bounces back. Eriksen never did that, period. The one shining light in a season of much darkness....on the basis it’s too early to judge Japhet.

Finally Dele - I will give him the benefit of the doubt for now. I think he needs to keep working hard, get his touch back, or we buy a striker and he plays off him. ...mmmm.....

GLC is that box-to- box MF that Spurs do not have since Dembele was sold. He is an absolute gem of footballer. He alone is an excuse for 2 windows of inactivity in recruitment, as he totally made up for it. So stop blaming luck of signings, unless you are fan of Nkudou, Jenssen or Aurier. Spurs will sign a striker, a bulky Brazilian, but for the away games, like today, he wouldn't help, since he is not pacey and serves well as 6 ft box target at long sieges in home ties. Most importantly they will sign LoCelso.

In the game where JM was nursing one goal lead, introduction of Ndobele was not appropriate. The lad didn't play for awhile and would need to come in should Spurs have been 2 or 3 goals up. Dier, I believe, was ready to sub for Winks, but ball didn't get out before Aurier was dispossessed in FBT (Foith Bermuda Triangle) area and the equalizer was conceded. After that, getting Winks replaced lost sense, but since Dier was eager to enter, Mou took Dele out to show him his annoyance with Alli-gma.

What are you on spurporter because I want some.If you think signing decelso makes up for all the non signing windows and we should not blame this for our current demise then you really have lost the plot big time.We still need at least 4 signings to even get close to top 4 with a striker paramount. Now Kane is out does it not justify our opinion that Pochetino was only as good as He was made out to be because of Kane’s purple patch.

As everyone has pointed out if spurs had a striker they would have won that game. Ali, son and Moura are too hit and miss, however, i'll cut Ali a little slack as he makes better decisions than the other two. Son seems as if he is in another time zone, so out of sync he even got in the way of Loco's goal bound shot.
Spurs were quite slick on the counter and would have created more with better final passes, Lamela was a big culprit going for the spectacular pass when a simple pass is on.
Spurs need to reinforce the attack, there is talk of interest in Bergwin, never seen him play, heard he's a fast wide player, if he's any good spurs should sign him and a striker.

Seems like he might not be a starter, in that he only played 16, scoring 5. Looks like he featured in their European games, so Europa league level. He’s 5’10” and a winger.....do we need a 5’10’’ winger, who hasn’t featured as a regular first teamer for PSV.....mmm

What makes you think that Spurs would have bought a good players, if Levy could spend on the squad? Whom Spurs signed prior to the recruitment hiatus? Moura? Good, but suffers from bipolar, Sanchez? Good, but not a star. Aurier? No comments. The last star Spurs signed was Son in 2015. Dele precluded him one window being bought in the winter of same year. After that the 7 windows past before LoCelso was obtained last summer. Only 2 of those 7 windows were barren. What about the other 5?
If we follow some posters here and concede that Pochettino was nothing special , but just caught lightning in the bottle with world star players on Spurs squad built by Paul Mitchell , then it explained why Spurs did not buy anyone for 2 windows. They realize that they **** at recruitment . They realized that Steve Hitchen isn't Paul Mitchell.
Hitchen is still at the helm as Director of Recruitment. Mourinho didn't install his man. Yet.
