I said at the beginning of the season familiarity breeds contempt , too much comfort for too many players.
And again I am lambasted for being apparently negative because I don't believe falling short is something to be celebrated , the deep rooted problem at Spurs is the fan base will literally burst with pride over a loss or a fail, you've only gotta see Pochettinos post match comment about it being the best we've ever played it's the mindset of losers.
There are many players that are good players in the side but completely lack the go get it mentality, because they're worshipped for being nearly men same as Pochettino.
If you set the bar at nearly is alright it's exactly what you'll get , we as a fan base are far too applauding of that.

The two signings for me right now woukd be doucoure and Wilson. I think both clubs would find it difficult to turn that money down and the players would welcome the move. Both eligible for CL and woukd solve our immediate injury problems. Good age and Wilson takes up an homegrown player spot in the squad.

I wish Big Fran, but DL doesn't like the Distressed of N17 tag that goes with our current lack of depth and injury problems - probably adds £10m to each of them, and he just can't bring himself to pay that.....

That's he's perogative mate but if we do not get top four the blame will lay at his feet for me.

Just seen Kane out for about ten weeks now Levi's stupidity will probably cost us top four and all cups.Unfortunately pochetino is partly to blame as he has toed the party line for too long.We now must buy someone in window or change the way we play as we will not outscore teamst So.How come we don't chase Wilson instead of letting Chelsea walk away with him and even chicarito at West Ham would be a good loan There is also rumours that we could go for Malcolm from Barcelona but whoever we try to sign will be at an inflated prices due to levy getting us in the mess.Liverpool did not flinch when everybody said 75 million was inflated for a centre half and look at him now. Will pochetino now have the balls to demand some help if not he will fast lose all the good he has built up with the supporters and other chairman of clubs will be watching closely

Well it turned out to be a disaster of a day all round . The match itself was a killer of a result having played so well second half . On another day we score 3 or 4 so can't really ask for much more . Sh1t happens but the shoes been on the other foot quiet a bit this year . There's been umpteen times where we've been poor but managed to sneak a win but it still hurts when it happens . Even more so against them wankers in such an important game . In the end it boiled down to a tale of 2 keepers .. For all the mistakes leading up to the goal , Loris has to save that i.m.o ..

To compound everything we loose Kane and Sissoko , and with Sonny off to play international games for a while , we end up without 3 of our most important players for the foreseeable . Never taught I'd be saying that about Moussa but it's a fact at this point in time .. It really couldn't have went much worse . Horrible day all round ...

I don't think spurs should panic buy, the aim as MP said is top4 and 10 more epl wins should be enough.
Spurs should be at the level where they scout a player and go for him and get him.
Llorente should be good enough against the huddersfields and fulhams of this world and i for one would like to see foyth in the DM role.
Kane's injury and sons absence maybe means Spurs don't have enough up front to win the league cup, however, it's up to Mp to find another way for spurs to win without these players.
Nobody expects spurs to win the CL so getting out of the group stages is all MP has to do. So job done.
Hk and son will be back for the latter stages of the Fa cup if the team can stay in the competition.
The squad has been neglected since the last year at the lane and DL will continue with minimal invest as long as spurs continue to make top4 which seems the limit of his and Enics ambition. still fun being a spurs fan, however, i refuse to go to the new lane and get fleeced by DL and his capitalistic crew. Coys.

The biggest problem we now have is 1stly finding a top class striker that's actually realistically in our price range (peanuts) 2ndly that plays for a club willing to sell in January, 3rdly that isn't cup tied, 4thly will be thrown imediately in at the deep end and expected to perform.

It's a complete no goer, it's not gonna happen, I wonder sometimes how Spurs fans can think anything different is gonna happen with these parasites in charge.

A more prophetic piece of writing I have yet too see. Burn out and poor finishing...it was all there for us to see. Keeping dead wood (why oh why?) and not replacing by better...not necassarily the best because we can't acquire the best, but certainly better than N'Koudo, Jansenn, Wanyama (no comeback for him imo), Vorm, Llorente (he's had his day), Dembele ( a very good player but overrated within a cloud of soppy sentiment....he doesn't score...EVER!! Not deadwood however.) That's a lot that could have been replaced in the summer to bolster our squad. Now look!

No spot on Felon. That's why I, you and a few others were saying that ANY business has to reinvest or it will falter....here we are faltering.

Not sure it was a prophetic piece unless you were watching on willy wonkavision in truth.
We didnt look tired we didn't bottle it. We simply failed to take our chances, paid the price for a poor passage of play from Tripps verts and lloris. We had little options on the bench due to injuries and arrests and had to make an enforced change due to the injury of sissoko when we didn't really have a like for like replacement. Perhaps in hindsight Skipp may have been a better option.
We woukd and should have more options but for lack of options we know that chaps it been done to death and its boring. Nothing will likely change in this window if not the next.

I agree don't think spurs will do any recruiting in this window, however, it looks like dembele will be sold.
Llorente is out of contract in the summer, Toby can be had for 25m (i think he will have quite a lot of suitors at that price) and CE hasn't signed a new contract yet and will have one year left on his old contract in the summer, if he doesn't sign before summer he has to be sold or let go for nothing next summer.
Gkn, Janssen and Wanyama don't play enough and need to be replaced.
I think there will be a lot of activity in the summer as at least 7 players futures need to be sorted out.

Dembele has been sold, great player, if Mp had been braver in the lester season and gone with Dem, CE and Ali as spurs mid 3 would have won the title. Well thats 10m in the kitty. Coys.

poch already saying no signings but Chelsea just about to sign on loan a world class striker. If levy had any nous which he does not he would bid for Isco who is not flavour of the month at real madrid and would add much needed skill to our midfield.Even the hammers are chasing a striker. How can supporters show their disgust at the way the club has no ambition when the chips are down. Can you see man city Chelsea liverpooldoing the same no chance.Or is levy playing clever I doubt it

Now sissoko is out we really are thin on the ground although Dier is back in training.I for one am intrigued to see what tactics pochetino comes up with or will he continue with the high line although I don't think we have the personnel to do this. All the experts who say he is a genius think he will produce a new master plan let's wait and see.If he gets a win at Fulham and beats Chelsea I will hold my hands up and say my reserves about his tactical planning were incorrect. No body would be more pleased to be proven wrong

    I would go with
3 at the back -verts toby sanchez
    winks foyth kp and rose
    erriccsen, ali
    moura

I actually like jansen and would have him in there but I think that wont happen

Can switch up dier with foyth if fit, and also swap llorente with moura when needed and bring on the Argentinian psycho for the second half to take everyone out.

I think this is a strong team although no way Pochs will take kp instead of tripps or aurier yet

I'd personally would and expect poch will stick with the 4312 formation that has served us well with some rotation.
    Lloris kwp sanchez Toby Rose
    Winks dier eriksen
    Alli
    Moura lamela.

With the front two pressing high and hard.

Think the janssen situation is bizarre given our problems up top and then bring in a 20 year old into the squad with zero prem experience.
