What an absolutely piss poor performance from the very beginning when Poch picked the team, until Jan getting himself sent off.

I'd sit the lot of them in front of a fecking great screen to watch the second half again - every painful minute. At this level, in a big derby, you CANNOT make mistakes. None.

    So very Spursy FFS.

It's all about the mistakes.....I just watched a tad less than 10 painful minutes of the Sky highlights of yesterday, the lead up to the penalty and goals 2/3/4.

All 4 show mistakes that at this level with punish you.

Goal 1. Aurier lets the ball go under his foot, leaves Foyth exposed. Aurier then chases back and fouls Aubameyung. Jan handles the free kick, a booking and 1-0.

Goal 2. Son's poor touch to Kane loses possession in the Gooners half, ball goes wide to Bellerin in acres of space, Eriksen ambles across towards him, but no pressure on the ball he passes between Davies and a poorly positioned Jan, sleeping again. Ramsey has broken from midfield, nobody tracking his run - Sissoko or Dier I don't mind - he crosses to Aubamayang and Aurier doesn't put his body on the line trying to stop him. Lloris moves over too far right in his goal (Aurier would have been in the way of a shot to his right. All piss poor. 2-2.

Goal 3. Foyth's howler, missing Aurier's throw in. Jan, sleeping again is too far behind Lacezette to cut off Ramsey's cross field pass, then Dier stands up with his hands by his side, turns away when he shoots, only to deflect it past Lloris, who is standing on the wrong side of his goal, leaving Lacazette to shoot as a 6 yard gap. FFS. 2-3.

Goal 4. Dier, not on his toes as Aubameyang cuts back from the touchline, is flat footed and can't cut out his through pass to Herreira. Lloris easily beaten. 2-4.

We were fecking at fault for all 4 goals. I thought we made mistakes yesterday, but this was a litany of errors - Aurier even had the cheek to ball out Foyth after his own two mistakes for the first. You couldn't make it up.

Best that Verts is suspended. Aurier and Dier should be dropped and told they were not good enough. Dier is NOT a centre back. He had a great first half, then MP moved him. I'd also rest Lloris, playing the new Gazza.

Remember Poch your mistake of not playing Toby, added to the 4 above, shows why unless we get to grips with these sorts of issues we will be very Spursy, FOR EVER.

That is a good point. Keeper is to cover for mistakes of defenders. Hugo wasn't sure where the goal was behind his back.

Be interested to see team for tonight no choice but to play Foyt as injuries and suspensions make it necessary.Winks must play good enough for England but on our bench . My team Gazzinga trippier Foyt alder rose winks. Erickson Dier Ali Kane moura or son for moura.Must win or season will be on the slide especially as I don't see united troubling the scum

Just for a second imagine being Alderwerild, you've been ostracized for wanting a market rate wage of which your talent/performance is more than worthy, sidelined now by 2 prospects, seemingly only used now when there is no alternative even when big matches are not going to plan.
Other than being a Professional I'd be severely disillusioned by the farce of it and would be seeking greener pastures asap.
And from the club's pov it's completely down to not paying a player his worth , a club that demands top end prices for ticketing/merchandise/player sales but God forbid it actually should put the same back into the 1st team.
And what messages is this sending to other top players in our ranks and prospective top players from joining.
    Its pathetic it really is.

Re Peter Reed's post - it wouldn't surprise me in the least, after Poch's ridiculous Sunday selection, if he paired Dier with Foyth tonight. He might not but...….. And we're next in line for the New/ Temporary Manager result. Expect the unexpected guys.

Levy has said to Poch "be sure about Foyth and I'll let Toby go".... Young versus older, and DL can't put pen to paper for circa £150k plus.... I fear that he is lost to us Felon......sad

Please no - Dier is not a centre back for me, as a bite your mum holding guy yes, but worries me at the back....

I love MP but I think he has no brain. Why Kane is playing the whole match tomight while we have a lot of matches every 3 days and a very big one in 6 days ?
The risk of injury is immense with this pace and he should have leave out Harry of the pitch ! Clearly... COYS !

A win is a win but once again a bottom 3 team hit the woodwork twice and Lloris has one of his better saves day or we could easily have let them get a point. I still have my reservations if the players are really playing for the manager as much as they used to .I think they are as confused as I am with the constant changes .Look what happened to Liverpool tonight they had to bring on their big guns to get the result.pochetino looks absolutely bored on the touch line and is he starting to believe he is the genius that the press seem to think he is.I still think he is tactfully naive compared to the top managers

Or... we had a tricky run of games, starting with the Chelsea game and came through it ending up in 3rd place and still in with a shout in the champions league
Gotta love that half full glass!

Was alarming how many chances Southampton had a few inches here or there things could've been different.
Ending the evening above the Scum and Chavs goes some way to moving on from Sundays debacle.

Anybody seen pochs latest tv interview saying no signings in January .Is he really serious or just toeing the line.how many united players might be looking for a move if mourino stays and how about Crystal Palace needing players to avoid relegation and may need to cash in on Saha or Fulham on sessingon.Ido wish he would stop making these statements and making us look stupid

For the life of me, I'll never understand why Pochettino didn't play Alderweired in the derby against arsenal. We complain that we don't get the necessary funds to buy top class players, yet we sit one out during such an important game and for what? This is part of the problem, we'll never be able to get and hold top talents unless we are willing to pay them what they are worth. Once he's gone, our defense won't be the same....pay the man!!

Great game today, the fellas all had a great game. Winks seemed like he was just cruising, he's got so much more to his game. He can easily spray the ball allover the pitch, can't wait to see him expand his repertoire.

First game I've been to this season and when the team news came in many of us were looking at each other scratching our heads and probably fearing the worse. Personally I would have preferred Harry to sit out an easy home fixture v Southampton than this having played a full 90 strangely midweek. However it was a comfortable evening with a couple of pieces of Sonny magic. Toby and Jan again looked formidable with Hugo tested little. Not always been a fan of alli as he offers little when not scoring but his form of late in his all round game and his improved temperament is to be admired. Sissoko '' the beast'' again impressive. And we are looking good at the minute with our best ever prem start. We have very good fixtures now until the end of Feb so let's see what that brings as the other big sides take points of each other. If we pull off a miracle v barca and reach the next round it would be an unbelievable effort from the boys and Poch given our injuries, out of form players and the obvious financial restraints.

Dier on bench and walker peters playing result one down to walkerpeters error in first 5 mins and this against team without their best 5 players we are praying for Dutch miracle

What can I say not the full Barca team but we dominated second half but how many missed chances.Kane and Ali are enigmas both hardly in the game but harry does create the important chanceSon brilliant one day and couldn't hit a barn door the next.Rose so much more attacking than daviesand sissoko still amazing me with his energy.Thank god we don't have to join the scum in the Thursday second rate cup
