Well...... Sissoko and Lamela to my mind shouldn,'t even be anywhere near the bench never mind the pitch. They've been pummelled on here before so no point going over that again but.... if they're given a shirt on match-day it says one of two things to me and everyone else, obviously) 1. There's no-one else, or 2. Poch thinks they're quite good. I hope to God it's option 1., at least that can be remedied at some time.

Investing.....wasting ...£60mil on Sissoko and Lamela says it all. You can't make those sort of mistakes. Not only have they never delivered a single notable performance, not once, the performances make them unsaleable apart from at a giveaway price and their lack of value means they are just blocking the progress of the squad.

And this is exactly it Bazza, other sides wouldve shipped these duds out pronto, not us tho.

And yes their squad clogging is holding us back badly, and Poch's insistance or directive to play these 2 and not seek better players just sums up this endless project.

I agree with everything above lads but like I said already why take off Sonny first when goals are needed , look he was totally anonymous but he could still come up with something out of nowhere .. We all know about Sissoko and Lamelas sh1tness by now but Ali,s getting away with murder at this stage , he's looking very ordinary and as for Dier , he's not a midfielder in a million years i.m.o , these two start game after game and offer zilch , I think they get a far easier ride from pundits and media because of their nationality .... Bad day all round ...

Ive always been of the view Felon that Levy will not sell below NBV, so we'd need to get around £18m for Sissoko, say £10-12m for Lamela...who in their right mind. The other problem is that the market has moved away from us and you might get one player for £30m.....if you can find a bluebird, but more like £45m for the likes of Malcom....no chance with all those pound notes flowing out on the new build. Not DL......

Totally agree. I felt sorry for Son, as apart from H he's been our one shining forward light....looks like the trip to Barca didn't yield any obvious benefit.....

On the button, burnt - look back over previous threads and I've been on this topic at length, probably to the point where others have thought "Christ - not again". My views are as solid as before, even allowing for his mini-return to pretending-to-being-interested-again

Edmonton to St. Marys was a pleasant drive full of confidence given that we had comfortably beaten this mob 5 - 2 a few weeks ago. The drive back was depressing.
As I have said many times before Poch is a nice guy, but he has to be replaced by someone who is a winner. Saints are rank ordinary. They ran and harried us but still looked second rate. Unfortunately so did we.
Davies, Dier, Sissoko and Dembele are too slow. Ali and Son were too patchy. LAMELA missed a sitter two yards out because he waited to take the ball on his left foot. We are too slow.
This is not a great spurs team, but we need to show more fight, more desire to win second balls and tactical awareness. We looked second rate and given the poor quality on our bench we are going to go into reverse again this season.
Sack Poch! Hire Angelotti! Flog Dier, Sissoko, Lamela, Dembele, Davies and a few others. But we won't do this because this would be an admission that we are about to have a **** season; again.
Please Mr. Levy start taking some drastic action or flog the club.

The substitutions were very negative and nobody has mentioned we had another CF on the bench who was overlooked in terms of changing a game. Shows real lack of faith in him and clearly another 13m wasted on top of the above mentioned.
If he isn't up to it then get rid ASAP and replace him. Give a youngster a chance maybe eh?
Strong links with malcom and moura hopefully there is substance to it and we get one if not both.

Yeah that'll work. God help us if we ever finished **** second; again

A relatively poor performance against a not particularly good side.. the pitch didn't help but overall a pedestrian outing.

I'm not sure why Sissoko is always the scapegoat on here no matter what he does on the pitch.. I guess he's an easy mark. He wasn't that great yesterday for sure but my goodness did he lay it on a plate for Lamela late.. who inexplicably took a touch.

Lamela had actually come good before he went down last year but he cost us yesterday and not just on that occasion. Let's not forget also that the golden boy missed a gilt edged chance late on too. It
was another one of those days.

Fail to win against United next fixture and the top 4 starts to look quite distant.

By the way 30M will get you eff all in the market these days. Anyway lamenting the 'high' cost of certain players is behind the times.

The substitutions were as per usual awful.
Pochs in game management when its clear whats happening or whats not happening on the pitch was once again poor.
Our transfer buisness during the Summer was over all poor and this windows activity is non existant.

We are once again in our usual place in the league looking up at the rest hoping to get back in the top 4 while all the others strengthen and our club talks about projects.

Im not calling for Pochs head here but hes lorded like he has done something when in fact hes 'Blew' 2 of the most gifted League Title opportunities, hes not got any cup competition right with regards to if its a priority or not or has been tactically shooled by other managers in them.
Hes created a more professional approach from the players but has not developed anything that resembles different tactics to suit games/opposition/occaisions and he seems to have way too many bang average favourites that cant be shoe horned out the squad knowing they contribute nothing but hes ok/happy/calm with that.

Well im not and anyone that actually wants to see us succeed cant be either, the nonsense we have to listen to as fans is an insult and from other fans who love to post and talk up every single successful looking statistic except 1s that actually count like Winners- ................

Top 4 is looking dubious to me, our only hope is Harry and Son to a lesser extent and wel then see how many players wanna stick around for a project if it all goes pear come buisness end.

Bored of seeing the same glaring deficiencies every season- the near but so far is tedious.
The clinging and refusal to move on squad cloggers that do sweet FA is just soul destroying!

Yeah he did Jam - but let's not forget he's been on fire for the best part of 3 seasons now and without him we'd have seen a vastly different team so I can almost excuse that miss, even though it was costly. As for Lamela - not so, he doesn't do it and hasn't performed on a decent level for any stretch since he came so, maybe wrongly, he gets the thumbs down from me. He's out of chances and out of time.

Just sayin Gordie.. there's always a number of moments that contribute to a poor result.. that was one of them. Kane is of course ultimately beyond reproach.

Spurs waited a good season plus for Lamela to come good.. then he went down. Will the club wait another year or so for him again? I doubt it.

Jam - everyone is entitled to his/her opinion on anything, I have no bother with that and don't expect everyone to share mine on all things, it doesn't annoy me one bit. However, on your point about waiting another year - if Lamela's at The Lane this time next year it will be because Levy's priced him out of a move or that nobody wants him anyway. He hasn't really created a queue to sign him, so my guess is the latter.

No 1 in their right mind would be buying Lamela or Sissoko for the amounts weve paid even though the market has hugely inflated.
Both were extremely poor buys and to sell on shows what flops theyve been and makes the club (levy in general lose face) in selling at a loss so the hope is blindly that 1 of or either finds anything resembling form and hope that someone as desperately stupid as we were will buy them. All while our 1st teams options and results suffer

Should have taken Dele off, Llorente on, Son staying on. The more you look at Dele's performance the more you realise how poor he was.

Only Serie A sides would buy them, can't think of anywhere else.....and the closer to the 31st we get the lower the bid, with no time to weed and feed.....in short, no flecking hope Felon...
