Mp is a good coach of the high press, however, he is not a good Manager which is different from being a coach.
He has had time to reflect and if he corrects his flaws and tweaks his football approach/tactics he could become a winner.
MP took spurs to places i never dreamed of (Champs league final) however, because of his flaws spurs came up short on numerous occasions when victory was insight.

I don't think Pirlo or Koeman are better coaches than MP? maybe cheaper.

I do agree that Wilson is not an exciting signing, however, it might be the case of Wilson is better than no one. The squad needs to be balanced after seasons of poorly thought out transfers.

Wilson is not the only name being mentioned, maybe spurs will buy someone better or worse, time will tell.

Spurs have been linked with a number of players ranging from Top class to unheard of.
Spurs are looking at Lb, Cb, Rb, Dm, Am, Wf and Str. How many deals will be completed by Oct 5(T/W closes)? I think 3 maybe 4 at a push and i wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being 1-2.

And still it goes on Arsenal to sign Gabriel class young defender Chelsea signing. Havertz and Chilwell united after Brooks while we sit on hands and do nothing while we look for cheap imitations of footballers. The press say we are interested in all sorts of players but I think Levy makes statements to try to appease the fans knowing full well he won’t sign any top player.because he won’t pay the wages.Make the most of Harry Kane because this will be his last year if he has any Ambition

I see willian says he has joined Arsenal because they told him they want to win champions league and it’s the one thing missing from his trophies.Does he not know they have not qualified for it so they will have to get a move on.Surely it wasn’t about money???? Or didn’t spurs think they could win it.Why do footballers treat the fans like they are idiots

Great news Messi wants out of Barca.Come on Levy make a bid although I think we might Struggle with the wages.Rumour has it with image rights and bonuses he earns over 75 million a year.Absolutely disgusting and Barca are guilty of ruining the transfer market.

17 days to go till season opener , still at bare minimum (without selling any FBs) need 2 new 1st team quality FBs, a 1st team quality CB, a 2nd striker to play alongside/rotate/push Kane.

This is the bare minimum required just to give us a chance of top 4 again.

8th richest club in the world, highest paid Chairman in the league, record profits, not even in the top 10 net spenders over the last 5 years...........

Yet when it comes to the team we're supposed to believe there's no money and we can't compete.

    It's a complete shambles

Why do we supporters not demand that Levy explains why we are so poor.I know the stadium cost a fortune and the coronavirus has stopped us renting it out to other people but we were told that the stadium would not affect the transfer funds.I know Chelsea have a Russian millionaire in charge but even his money must be affected by the virus. It appears that all the top teams are getting their business done early so they can include them in pre season. When did we have our squad ready for pre season.I can’t remember one in the near future and this is entirely down to Levy trying to be clever which means all the good signings have been snapped up And we get the left overs who take about 6 months to settle in.No wonder nobody takes us seriously when it comes to the big prizes

Spurs are said to be interested in Matt Docherty for Rb/Rwb. I am not sure how good he is however, the price being quoted is 12m, which is less than spurs aim to sell serge for which 2om.

all available good players want CL football. Even EL Group stages.
Not many want early EL stages.
They also want a team capable of CL football.
We just don't have good enough players for that

Kane will give it this season and then leave. Him and Son are the only real CL players in the squad.
    Alli, LoCelso, Bergy.... EL standard
The rest PL and some only Championship...... hence we are where we are.

    Big changes needed.
I would prefer to see a rebuild with youngsters.

From what I remember (although I might be wrong), Doherty is alright going forward but nothing special as a defender. We already have one of them...we really need a RB who can defend and has pace so not sure if he will be a good addition or not (even at £12-15m).

With Chelsea seeming to snap up heaps of young, decent players, we are most certainly in trouble next season

Hard to say this but Chelscum work much better than us and not just this summer. With or without money !

3rd choice GK sorted, possibly more time should have been spent on getting the exactly right 3rd choice GK but since time is limited then going for the good enough was probably the right thing to do. The deal was done to allow time and focus to be on the next deals.
One CM has come in, I've not seen him much there was a need to strengthen in that area and hopefully the manager got someone that he will play.
RB.... I believe that Aurier has improved a lot but replacing him with Doherty might make sense.

The big thing is the decision about Ndombele. Either he plays or he goes and if he goes then I think it might be similar to how Lo Celso came to Spurs. A loan to a club where he'll play and maybe his value and his potential can be realised. If he goes then there is a need for a replacement but luckily then there will be the wage-space for a replacement.

Maybe Doherty will be ok based on what I have been reading? I don’t really remember seeing Wolves and thinking what a great defender he was but saying that, why would I to be fair.

When we look at Chelsea, I’m not referring to who they bought now but how they bought....they have snapped up young players, early. Why we don’t do that is beyond me...the free CB Sarr would be worth a punt (although I’ve never seen him) but as a France international, he can’t be terrible. There are so many decent young players including in relegated sides, it’s our speed of recruiting as well as our willingness to pay that is annoying. Levy thinks he is the man for transfers and quite often he is but it must annoy anyone ever dealing with him. That then limits who wants to deal with him and eventually really limits our options. As an example...if Milan were really interested in actually paying money for Aurier, why waste the opportunity by playing hard to get?

I read we could be interested in Ndidi from Leicester, what a great signing that would be given how we can’t defend....but nope....try the waiting game and like normal, nothing happens

Ndidi would be a great addition, not sure if he's available.
Those that think that Aurier is worthless would probably consider just about anyone to be an upgrade on Aurier. For me then I am not sure if Doherty would be an upgrade but maybe. I've not seen Doherty enough so I really don't know.
Early deals would be preferred. But with the uncertainty about Ndombele then.... He might be infected with COVID now as well?
Worst case scenario is he stays and doesn't play, best case scenario might be that he is sold and his replacement is both cheaper and better. But who could afford him?
And the 'who can afford' probably argument probably applies to a few players who if they were sold might not be missed.

I agree, what Chelsea have been doing - buying young and then lending out seems like a good strategy. I would not mind if that was done at Spurs as well.

Financially I don't think we're in a position to be signing players to loan out. I'd have signed Sarr to be involved straight away so we missed a trick. Many think doherty is a replacement for aurier of that I'm not too sure. I don't think Jose will sell unless the price is right he did OK last Yr. Doherty will compete for the right bk spot and cover left bk. If aurier does leave I'd expect another right bk to be signed. Ndidi hojbjerg axis would be unbelievable and give alli a chance to play in his preferred no10 with Ltd defensive responsibility. Then you have ndombele sissoko winks and lo celso options. Personally I'd sell any of them barring gio to raise funds for a left centre half and attacker.

Docherty is a good buy if we get him.But we still lack a left back as Davies is now a squad player and not quick enough in getting forward.Centre back still weak as I am no fan of Dier or Sanchez who both make mistakes every match. We must sell ndombele and use the money to buy a midfielder with a brain.Unfortunately Levy is as usual sitting on his hands and will leave it to late.Brooks would move but spurs don’t seem interested and he will be snapped up late on for a bargain price by somebody else.Ndidi is talked about but who will he replace Moura bergwin.typical spurs in transfer window no planning just buy whether we need that position or not

I know it’s only a friendliest but so far Deli Ali has looked like the player of old and today against reading it looks like we have maybe discovered a little gem in Harvey White who played CMwith authority. I know it was not top line premiership opposition but the boy looks a footballer and let’s hope we bring him on gradually. Also Cirkin looks like he may challenge for the left back spot very soon.

Yep, the finances might stop us copying Chelsea for now. It seems that to some extent it is being done a little now anyway - players go out on loan to get to play first team football in the hope that the experience will develop them. A couple of months or even a year experiencing the hardship of being at a lower level club might make the young ones realise that unless they work hard then that is where they might end up.

On a side note: As is then can't tell if the club has now changed from doing the business late in the hope of getting the best deal/price to being slow and careful in who is being signed.

How can anyone buy the finances are tight nonsense from these parasites?
They've spent the 2nd least (€31m) net spend over 5 years , Cardiff have put more into their club ffs.
4 years of CL football we earned 70mil from the season just gone in it alone, 2 windows we didn't sign anyone, we've had 3 seasons of increased revenue from Wembley & The theatre of Nightmares, the Amazon documentary deal, Nike shirt deal, record profits year on year, 8th richest club on the planet, the stadium was bought on a long term serviceable loan so all the money 10 years previous that we didn't spend........

Yet we are the only club hit by Covid?
Out spent by Leeds (the club we didn't want to be like) , when are people gonna wake up to the absolute parasitic con Levy & ENIC are?

I've been telling you all for time they have no interest in us winning anything , the stadium would be used against not for us , it was never gonna be a game changer , they'd never pump in the extra necessary revenue into the 1st team to compete on what they claimed would be a levelled playing field.

You've all been conned and you're still in denial.

Levy & ENIC & Lewis OUT!
