    For pure football reasons the strongest team has to play in the competition Spurs are most likely to win. Hence this coming Thu the strongest team should be called for. Mar 1 should see the weakest team, like one dnoll5 assembled. There are also political reasons involved. For those reasons no one would send weak team to Wembley. So Mourinho will deal with our best XI as well. It doesn't make much sense to play fringe players in London derby on Sunday. That makes a second leg in Italy the only tie out of 4 to get Kaboul &Co some playing time. They will be there only if Spurs win big or lose terribly in first leg. If match with Fiorentina results in a draw, then the strong team would travel to Italy.

    Just looked at the Serie A table and Fliorentina are just outside the top 3 which means there's a good chance that they'll rest some of their top players because for them, getting CL via the league is easier. I wouldn't mind resting most of our best eleven:

    Vorm;
    Chiriches, Dier, Fazio, Davies;
    Lamela, Stamboui, Mason, Townsend;
    Soldado, Adeybayor;

    Most Spurs fans forget that Townsend is best on the left wing where he gets in excellent crosses and hugs the line very well. It would be particularly prudent with Davies behind him. This won't happen though. We can't let our other strikers get rusty as we will NEED them at some point before the season end. We need to keep them feeling part of the team either if they're not the most focused/confident. We must work with what we've got and part of our good form comes down to Poch's rotation.

    I will put my head on the block now and state kaboul will not play one single minute of football in the next four games
