Term 'Spursy' just an excuse to hide an underlying problem

I tried last evening to ease he pain by contribution here, but th ipad locked up twice.....summed up the day, full of promise, wear the Lilywhite in honour of Bill Nick, then the players and Poch take over......not good.

Those Legends who came to show their respect, along with us in the stands must have wondered what Bill would have thought, watching the dross being served up by manager and the players.

Adebayor is on £90k a week.....might even be more........I could have scored that goal. Every other contribution fell so far short of what is needed.

Chadli, Rabona (he'll live to regret that goal), Eriksen were dire. Dier was dire, or worse. Lloris, Verts and Rose worth a start.

Last season as The Lane was the worst for a decade. This season is worse. It's actually worse, it really is.

Levy's a problem, for sure. He's also married to the owner's daughter, so not much of a solution there I sense. So assuming Levy stays, what happens then........

The Stadium....I've seen the latest - 20/21....ok. I'll be 73 then and my patience would have long since given out. The Emirates took 2.5 years to build from breaking ground, so it was always a 3 year bulid best case. All the Levy b******cks that talked to a season away and 16/17 was just a lie.

So the Club is in turmoil, the Chairman is married to the owner's daughter and ENIC have acquired lots of land in and around the areas west of the High Road, so we know where they are focussed. Do they care about the Club and it's current state? Do they car about the Supporters (remember we're only 15% of their income)....answers on this Forum please.

32,000 people come, pay around £50 a time, to watch what was served up yesterday. Is it any surprise we are unbelievably, royally P'd off.

We love the Lilywhite, but at this time those running the Club are falling sadly below the standard that this great Club expects of them.

ENIC couldn't give two hoots about the fans. Levy fails to communicate with them at any level apart from the occasional statement on the website which is usually the same old regurgitated rubbish. The relationship with stub hub is a joke and those running the club are failing us. The stadium is looking like it is on a very large back burner.
The board must stand up and be counted.

 

Hi Matt - with Lewis and Levy (sounds a bit like a circus act and that's what it's become - a Dog & Pony show......) you can't trust anything that comes out of them, which is sad really. A lower profile Chairman as you'll ever meet.

 

I think this panic is premature. Yes, we lost to another relegation team. But we have knowingly sacrificed this game. MP needed to win last Thursday, he needs to win this Wednesday as well and he will. This Sunday game was something to get by for him. Well, he has learnt that he could be wrong in such approach. Poch is still learning...

I would not blame Levy either. It is senseless waste of time. He was not patient with managers because of WHAAT? Because he is a Spurs fanatic very much like posters here. Supporters cannot be objective and/or professional. Lewis is also lifelong THFC supporter. So there you have it... Let us get a win and move further in Capital One, we need to win in Europa 6 November. It is apparent that 1st team is being shifted to midweek. EPL is a lost cause, we're not getting relegated, nor we are able to catch top 4. Not this year.

 

Think you will find Levy & Enic are the lost cause.

 

It's time for Levi, Lewis and Enic to sell up(at a reasonable price) and clear off and new owners to come in and put genuine money into getting us to the top like an Abramovic, we could of been where Chelsea are now but Levi and Enic didn't take his advisors serious! they thought Abramovic wasn't serious about wanting to buy us! another Levi, Enic **** up! they are one big **** up! they are only dragging us down with their non-existant spending and it will never change as long as they are there.

 

The same point occurred to me as I watched the game, even in the first half which we bossed, I have to say I thought Newcastle were rubbish. They could hardly string a few passes together, and created almost nothing. "Oh well" I thought, "if they are here to lie down and give us the points I'll take it". However, they came out second half clearly having had a rocket from Pardew and played like a different team.

That was disappointing and concerning in equal measure for me, Newcastle were there for the taking first half, and we let the points slip away. The manager and the players were both culpable for the defeat, Pochettino is barking up the wrong tree talking about player mentality. As the manager, it is part of his job to instil a winning mentality in the players, and to get the best out of them with the system he employs. At the moment it is obvious we play with a lack of width and make it too easy for the opposition. There is also an apparent inability to break quickly, and put the opposition under pressure before they have a chance to run back and pack the defence. This is something I'd expect the coach to see and sort out on the training ground, it is worrying that there appears to be little difference in the way we play compared to the AVB/Sherwood era. With players like Lamela, Dembele, Eriksson, Chadli, and Paulinho playing to their potential, we have the weapons to hurt teams and provide some resistance in midfield. Just isn't happening though is it?

Despite my concerns, I think it would be depressing, embarrassing and 'knee jerk' to sack the manager. Not all is gloom and doom - I expected us to get humped by Arsenal, but we got a very decent point. We are one of the few teams to have beaten an 'in form' Southampton this season. OK, I know, not much to get excited about but Pochettino should be given a couple of seasons to establish his team and get them playing the way he wants them to play. It is clear that if he is going to be a success as a Tottenham manager, it is going to take more than a dozen games.

In the meantime, Villa away is next, I'll be there! COYS.
