I don't think Holby was mobile enough or had the passing ability, but a player who would have fitted into the system was Sigurdsson.

Another no nothing comment more like it. Holtby isnt the greatest MF but he does have pace and energy, he can pass, can tackle and has more creativity than all of our CM combined and that includes Mason. I wouldnt say he's first choice but in a 50 game + season he's a decent player to have as an option.

Players that should be sold if anybody is willing to take them on. Some are very hard to move and are happy to rot on the bench and collect wages. It is not as simple as just sell them, they have to be wanted.

Paulinho - GET RID just awful, no desire I cant believe anyone would make a move but we got suckered too so lets hope.

Townsend. We may even get some money as some people still think he can play. Finders crossed somebody is foolish.

Eriksen. His value will be the highest it will ever be right now as some people believe the hype. He is chicken, gutless and all though he has some great skill and vision he would have to score at least 16 goals a year to justify him doing absolutely nothing else on the pitch. Get rid quick or remember this comment and apologize later for arguing.

Kyle Walker. His value will also never increase and he just looks stunned out there. Great Athlete but cranium is vacant.

Danny Rose. Danny is a hot head and I will not question his willingness to go into a tackle. I think however he is going to see a few reds in his career and he turns off mentally. I think he wants to just play wing.

Those who mentioned bringing Tom Carroll back , HAHAHAHA have you seen him this year or last ???. Tom can pass a ball but almost makes Eriksen look brave. Hey even Harry hardly played him in key games in the Championship. Tom is a master of looking busy but getting out of the way.

People should get off Mousa Dembele's case. He is way better than people give him credit and now all anybody says is he holds onto the ball too long. Well he has in the past and will do on occasion but take a look without prejudging him. If people are open he will pass it. When we have guys standing around not making runs he is one of the few who can keep the ball and offer someone a chance to make a run. DEMBELE IS A MUST KEEP. HE would be one of the easiest to sell though because other managers recognize he can truly play.

I don't know Felon, if I did know why Holtby couldn't hold down a place at Spurs I wouldn't have asked the same question myself would I. What I do know is that he's a better player than the likes of Paulinho whos not good enough to sit on the bench for Europa games and brings nothing to this club whatsoever except a bad and lazy attitude. I also believe that he's a useful squad player with a good work rate and ethic. I also think he's a better player than Mason is right now but if we are going with a Mason type player first then I think Holtby would be the obvious choice when Mason is injured. If I was going to indulge and say why I think Holtby was loaned out my guess is that he was sacrificed to make room for Paulinho so as to give him enough games to shop him around with a view of getting some return on the investment. It obviously didn't work out because Paulinho turned out to be more shite than we thought him to be and is no use to this squad at all. Holtby on the other hand had a fantastic pre season and brings energy, drive and enthusiasm to the team, something that has been missing. Look if we do buy a very good player that can slot into the MF i'll be as happy as anyone but don't count on it in this window so yes I think bringing back Holtby for the rest of the season would be a good move.

Holtby shown a few glimpses but nothing more for me and I'd cash in.. He struggled at Fulham who went down. Barring dembele none if our current mids are any better than thudd n Jake Livermore IMO. This is a key area that needs sorting and there are plenty of options out there delph Schneiderlin(providing his tag is met) cabaye out of favour at PSG. Moutinho Monaco need to sell. Sissiko again Newcastle will cash in for around 17-18m.

Pal you can't be serious, Eriksen is are best attacking midfielder. As for your rant on the others e.g. Walks who is just back after nine months out (was next to Real Madrid). Rose who is great cover, fully committed and better than the alternatives. Andros should adapt to Poch's system. Re the Carroll point i'm neutral on that cos i haven't followed his progress at the Swans ect. Dembele well i'm ok with him i think he does alright when he features. That said certain players should be sold if alternatives can be found.
