as I see it...... no top manager will take the job as too many players need to be replaced.... and Levy won't back them with enough money.

The only top manager that would take it.....would be one out of work

A lesser manager would take the job.....with no funds..... just for the kudos of managing Tottenham

I already answered that... remove a couple of world class forwards (which seems likely at the moment) and we'll see exactly where we're at before the beginning of next term

But this season? an absolute waste

And who doesn't want the job?

Rodgers? who knows what he's thinking but he certainly liked our squad when a youth coach spanked his side at home with their season on the line

Naglesmann? you think he should turn down Bayern for us?

    Conte?

He's interested... he wouldn't have come to the table otherwise. Considering he left Inter because they had no cash though I don't blame him for having doubts about signing on with our tightwad board

As I've already said I don't have a problem with Parker if Spurs are looking for a project manager (a depressing thought if that's the case)... he will do well enough either way... the others don't overly impress me but the standard remains the same

Come on Jose’s ghost you don’t have a problem with Parker who has just got relegated with Fulham does that qualify Allardice and Wilder For the job as well. You don’t have very high standards for the club.we need a fresh impetus not another defensive coach whose team last year could not score goals

  4. Jose's Ghost Guest

Parker would do well enough and plays in the correct way... as an ex Spurs man he is in the conversation

Sometimes an appointment is somewhat forced... you can only choose from what's available after all

You know Klinsmann called up Levy about the job... how would you feel about that?

    Better than parker

  6. Ferguson rates Parker highly

    I’ll lean in that direction

Levy will want a high profile manager for the job. If he gets a "promising" but "unproven" manager, then there's no one to shift the blame to when we bomb out. The only problem is he can't find a sucker who would take the job without making demands.

What has Ferguson seen of Parker at a top club bet he would not be chuffed if he got Man United job

He picked Moyes to be his successor and was a massive flop

  10. Moyes was a massive flop... that was jobs for the boys on Ferguson’s part

    Parker’s not Scottish of course

I have to say, Parker would be a terrible option IMO. My mate is a Fulham fan and is desperate for us to take him.

They couldn’t score and for some reason insisted on playing short goal kicks from the back which then looked like a pub side with their balls across the box.

I’m still baffled why Potter has vanished off the radar…he would be a decent hire and could potentially plug a couple of big holes we have with White and Bissouma.

See we copped a second fine for the disaster ESL today circa3and a half million which means we have been fined about 5 million for Levy’s folly.Could have bought a good full back for that.I suppose the ticket prices will rise to pay for this folly .Levy knows he can get away with anything because we have the highest prices and yet the season ticket renewal was completed without any trouble and we still have a waiting list. With fans like this he has Carte Blanche to continue on his merry way

  13. Your mate should be careful what he wishes for... there’s no guarantee they’ll be coming back

All of Fulham’s key numbers point to a mid table side... including conceding 50 odd shots less than Spurs

Where they failed miserably was in their finishing... last in goals/shot ratio

Generally speaking they played unusually well for a promoted club... hence all the praise that has come Parker’s way

As an ex Spurs man he makes far greater sense than Potter as a potential speculative hire

Please tell me that the latest rumour that our new director of football is not negotiating with Paulo Fonseca who was sacked by Roma and replaced with Mourino. Surely that is Levy’s biggest ****take yet.At least he finished 7th same as us so Should be a good fit for our wasters

Now announced that the rumours are true we are going for a man who took Roma to seventh and was replaced by Mourino.Maybe with Fabio Paratici we might be able to snatch some Italian defenders. It appears that both these men have contacts in Europe so maybe it will help but to say I am underwhelmed is an understatement

Look on the bright side - no compensation to Roma, much lower salary than Mourinho - what's not to like (as Levy himself would probably say)? Who needs trophies, if the fans keep turning-up anyway? The question is, will they? I've read various conflicting things about season ticket renewals, but if the stadium is full when/if normal service is resumed, Levy will have been proved right, and the club can be renamed Masochists'r'us - it's got a nice ring to it, don't you think?

    Spurs PL 20/21
    P38 W18 D8 L12 GF68 GA45 GD23 Pts62 Pos7th

    Vs

    Roma SA 20/21
    P38 W18 D8 L12 GF68 GA58 GD10 Pts62 Pos7th

Literally identical except for 1 worrying aspect, Fonsecas team were a lot worse at defending.

Still I heard these players just need coaching.....

Remember when I said look at Arsenal-

    Wenger Stale Out
    Emerey Hounded Out
    Arteta Trust Process
    (Arteta statistically worse than both)

    Well Spurs-

    Pochettino Stale Out
    Mourinho Hounded Out
    Fonseca? Trust Process........
    (To be seen/concluded)

Here is an article about the possible return of Pochettino:

One quote of interest might be:
    Or maybe this:

Sacking an underperforming manager does not make it more difficult to hire a replacement, sacking a manager performing about as expected might make it more difficult to hire a replacement.
