Well Felon my old son, since you asked, the answer is a resounding YES!
My sources in Barcelona ( and possibly confirmed by the BBC) suggest that no less a footballing God as Andre Gomes is being targeted by Poch.
Yes, I know! It's hard to believe. You can keep your Neymars, your Coutinhos, your Sanchezs and your Ozils, because Spurs are considering whether the great, the one and only, the most serene and the most complete midfielder ever to grace a pitch might deem to come to Spurs. Yes, Andre Gomes is apparently the game changer, the midfield dynamo that we need to win the league.
Am I sounding more than a tad irritated? My mate who supports Barca asked me to check Gomes out on YouTube. I did. This is a man who has only had two starts this season. He passes first time all right, but only to the nearest man on the pitch. He does not dribble, has no pace, cannot head the ball, rarely if ever scores, couldn't tackle a rice pudding and seems to have a psychological aversion to round white objects. Even the Barca fans want him to leave.
I have held a season ticket at the Lane since the days of Greavsie, McKay etc. and have watched us buy some of the world's worst dross on the pretext that they have " potential". Gomes has no potential. If we buy him then I will pack in football and start wandering around the shops on a Saturday with the wife, holding her hand and helping her select useless items for the house.
    Enough said!

75 mill for Van Dyke , 150 ish for Coutinho lol , 80 ish for Pogba , all good players but come on ... 150 ish for Mbappe an outstanding kid and 200 ish for Naymar ... **** , how do we compete with that , did someone say our budget for this window is 35 mill , lol that won't go too far in today's market .. Joking aside lads , this is probably as good a Spurs side as I can remember , finished 2nd & 3rd last two years but while we've struggled to compete financially for years the gap has never been bigger then it is right now ... Frightening really when you think about it , especially when you think of the dept we might be in for the foreseeable ... Hopefully I'm reading this completely wrong but the future looks quiet scary .. Even if we manage to up our spending to 70s 80s mill player bracket and double our wages we're still a mill miles behind ... Quiet depressing really ..

If the budget is 35m hopefully it all goes on one player. Hope to god it isn't Andre gomes ffs. I'd go sessagnon or Dembele as malcom will go for much more.

Still good to See Daniels real priority -

The NFL is coming along nicely.

I wonder how much of those revenue streams our Club/1st team sees?

They keep pushing this NFL nonsense upon us. How many spurs fans are interested at all in this aspect of the new stadium. I for one care none.

NFL ? Couldn't give a flying one myself, it's a complete 4-hour-ado-about-nothing to me, although I know some lads locally who think it's the mutts nuts. How many games a year ? Play them at Wembley then, and never mind the wheel-out pitch that is helping to put the New Lane cost (or whatever) sky high. Decent 11-a-side players we need, though that is probably asking a bit much as seems to be agreed.
