I think I can fathom the current situation - a points tally over the last 30 or so games that puts us in a relegation fight. That's how bad we've become, and I'm a proper supporter these past 60+ years.

    Just checked it out:

    Last 38 games. W17 D 7 L 14 Points 58 1.5 ppg
    2019 to date 30 games W11 D 7 L 12 Points 40 1.33 ppg

So we know 2 points per game is required to get close to top 4, we've managed 1.5 in the last 38 games and only 1.33 in this calendar year. It's bad and it's getting worse. I don't see any signs he can turn this around. He has to go.

And if you look at our Calendar 2019 performances that equates to 50 points in a season, that would be below half way, and below the Spammers last term.

We have to face the facts.....

I would agree to that, yet call him culpable is wrong. How many managers will fight the board over transfers? Is it Guardiola fault City didn't sign Maguire he needs so desperately now? Did Mourinho win his fight over Toby with MUFC?

They all are. Rebellion will not make anyone a winner, but an unemployed. Try to be non-complicit at your job and see how far will it take you.

Kane knocks in a 1st half Hatrick for England , supply the guy and hel score it really is as simple as that.
Watching the goals back literally all the goals were from wide wing play , getting in behind full backs and putting quality delivery into the box with forwards to aim at.

The 25 passes from our back 5 in our own box before even looking up towards half way will never be successful at anything.
The tactics and game plan or severe lack of is down to Pochettino , how can you be blessed with having Son & Kane up front and struggle to score goals ????
    It's poor management

We need 54 points from 26 games just to hit the 70point av bench mark for top 4 while those currently from 2nd - 4th only need 44 - 45 points from 26 games, anyone dreaming of 4th or it's it's gonna be turned around are the type that are so deluded they still pontificate about Lamela and there still being a player in there somewhere .......

MP in five seasons has only av 2pts ppg or more twice, the other three seasons he couldn't better what avb achieved 72pts, so top4 via the league is over and i don't see MP leading spurs to win the Cl so Mp won't achieve the minimum required of a top 4 team, which is to qualify top4.
Spurs are in a death spiral MP has to try and at least start winning home games. Mp is being stubborn he knows it's over, however, there is a lot of money on the line so he won't offer his resignation.

That money sum, his severance package (and that of his team) is causing DL great angst, in that in his heart of hearts he must know it's over, but just can't bring himself to bite the bullet......I guess it might depend if he's in for the long haul and if he is, then he has to fire him.....they say your first loss is your worst loss.....

It's no coincidence that all our players go away and perform better for other managers

Did you notice that Kane and Winks both played above their form for Tottenham while playing for England at the weekend.Could this be because England have pace and don’t spend all day passing sideways .Kane looked like he was enjoying his football again and didn’t look exhausted as some would have us believe,.As for Winks Southgate gave him a role which suits him further forward and not solely as a defensive player as Pochetino does .A role he is not suited for. What does this say for Pochetinos grasp of what players strengths are and how best to set a team up.I am not the greatest fan of Southgate but he does seem to understand that you need wide players and PACE.

Harry Redknapp says Tottenham can still finish in the top four this season despite a horror start to the season leaving them in 14th place in the table.

"Tottenham have it all on now to get in the top four this year," Redknapp told The Sun.

"The only thing now in their favour is that Arsenal look so poor. Chelsea are doing great, they’re going to be challenging. Leicester are going to be bang in there.

"But you’re looking at Arsenal — and Manchester United — and wondering if they are going to make it this year. I can see both of those two not making the top four unless there is a big improvement.

"It’s been a disappointing season so far for Spurs. I really thought they would be close to Manchester City and Liverpool and challenging.

"It’s difficult. The players haven’t hit the form they did last year. I’m a big fan of the manager and hopefully they can turn it around. They still have a fantastic squad."

Sums up well my point of view. COYS!!!

Why not a greatest fan? I am sure Poch would play wide more should he have the players Southgate does. England could have won the EPL, IMO.

I think against the weak teams like Red Star, Pochettino play more direct football and with greater pace. In EPL, tend to play possession football with lots of sideway passing. I think he doesn't have the confidence and doesn't want to get caught out.

Sorry spurporter but if you and Arry think spurs can still finish top four then you are both the eternal optimists and Southgate would not win the EPL as both liverpool and city would beat england
