Spurs aren't worth the ink presently. Whatever our needs (be it a commanding centre back or a proper number 6) we look a poorly coached and demotivated team. Short of a complete meltdown (which isn't that difficult to foresee) the manager will return next season. There will be nothing to see anytime soon.

surely you have to agree that playing against 10 for pretty much the whole match..... and then 9 for some of the match.... somewhat helped them?

Saw Morinho's press conference he seemed relaxed and more positive about Deli and said that they had a 'chat' which is good to hear cos we deff might need him to come to the 'party' whether he's been told to be more positive about him don't know either way needed to be resolved let's hope he can get back nr his best n help us improve also mentioned that Harry could be back in another week or so which is another bit of good news also be real good to beat C/sea n kick start our season again !

 

JM must have foreseen Pool losing to Brighton negating thereby Spurs misery entirely...

 

Just seen the squad for the Europa and Rodon not in it.Surely this must be the final proof that Mourino has lost the plot.His reasoningwas that it would be easier for someone not involved before to accept it than someone who was already in the previous squad.So we have to have Sanchez .He also has included Marcel Lavinier a Chelsea reject defender who has not played a minute of first team football.Tanganga not involved but Ali and Bale are although it’s obvious that they only play when we are desperate. Once again his man management skills have hit rock bottom and I believe as at United this is one of the main reasons that players stop believing in him.It also appears that there was a difference of opinion about Ali betweenLevy and Mourino. Mourino was happy for him to go and Levy was not happy to give the option to buy clause to PSG.When added to the suspected difference of opinion over the signing of Bale then this can only end one way even if Levy has to admit his messiah has not worked out

 

Mou gave up on Rondon after Brighton disaster. Very much like on Foyth. Lavinier is half Portuguese, may even speak, like Moura or Dier. That didn't help Gedson at all, though... Most important, I guess, unlike Rondon, Lavinier is an English player.

 

Why put 2 players in 6 yard box, roll it to Dier for a punt to a Chelsea defender? Why not just let Lloris kick it if that’s your plan?

 

Dier literally has the decision making skills of a Sunday league player. How is he possibly picked each week?

Mourinho's appointment was an act of pure desperation on Levy's part - he clearly pinned everything on 'The Special One's record of trophies at every club he'd previously managed, failing to recognise that all the others had top class players in their prime, while Spurs have been on the slide since 2017, and are utterly dependent on Kane to be anywhere near the top four. I wanted Mourinho to succeed, and the signs were promising just a few weeks ago, but it's impossible to believe that anything can be salvaged from the current on-field collapse of form and morale - we're as bad as in Pochettino's last few games, and that's bad! With the stadium standing empty, as a monument to ENIC's poor timing, Levy's chronic misjudgement and Spurs' never-ending bad luck (courtesy of covid this time round), the club's finances must be almost as bad as the team's form, and I'm blowed if I can see where salvation will be found - you think things can't get any worse, and then they do, in the time-honoured Tottenham tradition.

I think JM knew that. He was assured by Levy that Kane will not be sold, I suppose. JM has been saying that a world class player can play any position. That was correct, as he successfully converted Harry into Eriksen replacement. Problem is the #10 at Spurs has no back up. Without Kane Mou's Spurs are very much like Poch's Spurs with Eriksen absent. CE was absent whilst on the pitch. So was Kane in January. Kane's injury just coincided with his loss of form. The hope is that Kane will be back and Dele will be groomed to be Harry's backup, although I am sure JM doesn't think Alli is good enough for the role. Poch could not do that, BTW.

 

Because theres no better options
