What did he do that was magnificent today .Newcastle were poor today but still won.i really dont. See magnificence.

 

If I was an owner with some financial clout … I’d sign Ange to a 10 year contract after today … that’s how good that approach was … no matter how f*cked up his lineup … didn’t deserve to lose again

The guy can’t get a break … case in point today … the refereeing standard is so poor … English officials are way too parochial … who would know what esoteric biases they all have … but when you see Sarr get spotted for body contact in the box against Chelsea and then a week or so later TAA blatantly pushes Maddison in the back without a second thought from the officials … you know there is some serious ****wittery going on … it was in full evidence again today

 

Pure fearlessness … with a trash lineup … yet still deserved to win … Eddie always gets outplayed against us … even when we’re beaten to a pulp … he needed the refs to save his arse today … and they duly delivered

Would have to go back many years to find a worst Spurs side in my opinion … even in the dark 90s we still had the odd star player.

I don’t think people quite realise just how poor this squad is … coming 5th last year was actually quality management.

 

At the very least it should have been a drop ball for accidental handball because without hitting the hand they wouldn’t have had the chance to break in the gap.

Joelinton and Dan Burn should have had 3 yellows each.

Johnson, Werner, Solomon, Dragusin have been duds. The rest are young and most would want to keep.

But looking at the list of the squad that Ange helped put together, about half of them are under 20. Not sure he can do much more than he is to be fair to him.

 

I know this will be controversial but I don’t think Johnson has been a dud!
I don’t think he was ever bought to be a starter, I think he is great to come on last 30 mins when his pace can be a good thing . Having said that , even though he has not set the world alight, without his period of goals we would have been in a worse position?

 

Agree Johnson takes awful stick but he is not physically strong enough .Having said that he does what the rest of the forwards don’t scores goals.A manager with any nous would get a strengthening coach to work on him because like you I think there is a player in there.Angelos blames every thing that goes wrong on Johnson which is a bit over the top.

 

I'm not sure about Dragusin either tbh..... I think there is a player in there....

Johnson just needs to be a bit more physical and make the defence think they have to double up on him

I don’t think I have ever seen another winger give the ball away in promising positions as often as Johnson in any other team. It’s nothing to do with physicality and more to do with getting the ball and consistently crossing into the defender each time he gets forward. His decision making, timing and final ball are terrible and no amount of time in the gym will change that. Yes he does score a few goals but the rest of his game is missing quality.

 

Dragusin is not suited to the league at all. I agree that there is a player in there but it’s a bit like Chris Smalling who looked like a decent defender at Roma. Dragusin does not have the pace either mentally or physically and so his timing is off, decisions are slow and his quality suffers because at speed he simply isn’t good enough to make a quick decision or take decisive action. I would move him on asap to get some kind of fee back.

Werner, loan or not, is a sprinter playing football. Usain Bomt at football aid looks like a better player.
