  1. As I said juice boy… don’t worry about the tactics… they’re beyond your ken… just cut the oranges… I think you’d be good at that

Shame that Jose’s ghost can’t debate without insulting someone.Seems to me he comes out strong with the insults when he is losing the argument and has no real comeback .I do wonder who he supports in reality

Poor old Jose's Ghost, confused little fella has no intelligent argument so drags the level of content down to name calling n insults.

It's no wonder this site has died a death for contributors.

I think we have lost the point that was trying to be made. Our performance was not as good as it should have been, especially in the first half. We didn’t press at all really and when we had the ball, we made very poor decisions with it. Second half was better but still not up to the levels we have been showing in the last couple of months.

All that being said though, Southampton were very good with a very high press which was at a high tempo for 90% of the game. Hasenhüttl Has openly said that he believes that it was the best performance they have managed since he started, which is saying something given some of tbe performances they have put in.

Perhaps we take the game for what it was, poor from us and very impressive for them. It’s a one off 90 mins and sometimes teams play out of their skin or above the levels their form would suggest. This seems to me like one of those times. The annoying thing is most teams seem to manage to over perform against us.

Lets see how we go against a decent Wolves side later…Royal sounds like he’s been dropped which is a good start.

How sad to see fans of the same club insult each other on this forum. The strength of a club and a team is unity and it's the opposite that reads here. I think we all have the same opinion overall for 2-3 years but most of all we certainly all want the same thing, victory for Spurs and positive results for the months to come. Today the pressure is on Conte who did not only make flawless choices last Wednesday. Today's game is important for several reasons and the team has a huge responsibility in the eyes of the fans! Prove they deserve to wear our colors... COYS!

Perfectly said... once again... you're a credit to the club

We need to match Wolves aggression today... I expect nothing less with a week's break until the next game

You are correct... but equally... if you care about the club then you should also be prepared to defend it against those toxic boors who only seek to degrade it and bring it into disrepute

I am more than happy to do this

Pretty horrible to watch that. At least the new lad seemed to have a bit of passion and.. yep that’s about all the positives I can find from that performance

felt sorry for RS getting hooked, I would have preferred Doherty to go

Not many are going to want to admit this but our last few games have shown the value of Dier, much more comfortable with him there. Maybe he has a better rapport with Hugo or is just better at marshalling the defence. I find that Romero seems to pop up left and right , as though he doesn’t trust the others to make the tackles
Hugo was terrible but he gets a pass because he has had an otherwise great season
Winks seemed scared, did one good run but apart from that seemed to be hiding

Skipp and Dier back soon please

This week has brought this club to its lowest ebb for years. There is not a manager born who could turn this bunch of losers into a premiership squad.Surely we have some youngsters who can’t be worse .White in midfield can’t be worse than Winks and we do have a young defender Patkotski who has played international football.Dier is missed and that shows how bad we have become.Rumour has it that the club turned down an offer to buy the club of 3 billion last week I think they should have taken it.I still believe Conte is a good manager but he will jump ship long before his contract is up.It won’t be long before this bunch of wage stealers start moaning about the training being all wrong.3 defeats in a row and City next can’t see where our next point is coming from.I personally don’t think we have a prayer for top 4 so I would rather finish 7th so we don’t go in the turgid conference rubbish. Finally where have all the they just need coaching merchants gone on this website .Come on and admit your miscalculation especially Jose’s ghost

Nothing speaks more than the faces and that of Son reveals a collective dejection on this group of players in total lack of confidence. Our opponents know how to play against us. Score and close the game. And since nothing works as expected, everything is easier for average teams. Still, having Winks play 95 minutes is a terrible decision by Conte. I'm always happy with his presence on the bench but his choices and his late substitutions in the 2nd half disappoint me.

It’s the same players that we all know who let us down each week. Sanchez, Doherty and Winks were all equally awful. They each have absolutely no positional awareness, terrible quality on the ball, poor decision making and defensively cause more problems than they solve. Problem is we expect that from each of them and come the summer they should all be gone so we just need to get through until then.

IMO we need to move Kane on while we can still get a decent amount and look to use the funds to improve the squad overall.

We need to sign 2 x CB to solidify our back line, a RWB, LWB (if Regy goes back to RM) and a decent pressing MF. Ben Davies should only ever be used as a sub/squad player.

There are plenty of players coming up as free that we should go all out for to avoid fees (Kessie, Dybala etc). Then the funds raised by Kane should be used to get CBS like De Vrij/De Ligt/Skrinar.

We should then go all out for 2 of Lamptey/Aarons/Spence for the right along with Bissouma & Ward-Prowse (as currently everyone thinks they can take a free kick but every single one of them can’t).

One more thing…why does Lloris insist on punching shots away. For the first goal he had 2 x chances to catch it but insisted on using fists which created the opportunity for them - it’s very annoying to watch a World Cup winning GK not catch anything.

You really have no idea if you think that based on 2 x games, a manager/coaches have no impact on the squad. There are a number of things that are the cause of performances including individual errors, confidence, formation and attitude. Our performances prior to the last 2 x games have proved without any doubt that coaching and tactics make a difference.
Jose’s Ghost, myself and anyone else that said we should be doing better with the players we have, NEVER said that by having a new manager/coach we would be unbeaten all season and would be top of the league. We have said all along that the performances of the team and the players should have been better and with better coaching we should a least be giving the fans more than we did. That is what has happened so I don’t think there is any need for Jose’s Ghost, me or anyone else that believes that to say anything at all. We have had 2 x poor games and all of a sudden you are back on the bandwagon with all the other negative “we have the worst squad in the league” gang.

We are currently challenging for 4th and still have a 3rd of a season to go. Our performances (except in the last 2 x games) have been much improved. The manager has taken clear steps to call out exactly what is needed (which is way more than the last couple - one of which is so great he is killing Roma off and the other can’t get another job).

All us ‘need coaching merchants’ have openly agreed with the negative spursy moaners that we need to replace players so why the likes of you and Mr Felon continually make out that we don’t is a bit confusing. That being said our players should and have been playing way better since Conte joined us so maybe trying to get behind them instead of moaning and groaning about just how bad they all are (when it’s clearly a small number that need urgently replacing) might actually help get one of the things alongside the coaching that can help improve the results - confidence.

You miss the point again thfc.Spurs have players that even Pep could not improve. You pick out Sanchez andWinks who get worse every time I see them and yet they are still first choice. If you listen to Conte comments today you will be able to read into them that he agrees about the quality of player we have and the mentality of them.I see your list of the players we should sign in the summer dream on they would not contemplate it apart from Aaron’s.I still think Conte is a great coach but I am afraid he don’t have the tools to work with.just in passing how many spurs players would be snapped up by other clubs if they were all put up for sale

As I said tunes would change more than a juke box on here.

There were numerous posts about how a better coach would get more out the squad, top 4 was the bar set unequivocally.
There was the hyping up of David Moyes as an example of what better coaches can do.
Zagreb was completely and utterly put on Mourinho, Dele Alli was made out to be a hard done by victim and screams were made about him and others not being included.

So don't try n twist n turn the utter BS you were spouting last season when I kept telling you it was the standard of players we have and their attitude problems.
Individual errors are now the players fault all of a sudden on the pitch but last season they were all the managers.
Then there was the problems with team selections etc even though it didn't matter who was put in they were all equally sh;t clumsy n disinterested.

The hypocrisy of some on here is absolutely comical.

Have a little read through the comments from last year again because I don’t think you are remembering very accurately.

Keen for you to find anyone that has ever suggested that David Moyes is an example of a great coach, claimed that Alli was hard done by or who blamed individual errors on JM (rather than the **** defensive puntball game play he implemented)
