Thank god this season is nearly over at least today’s fiasco means Mason won’t get near the job or if he does Levy will be strung up.Never have I seen a more useless defender than Dier and he still think he is unfairly criticised.He was partially responsible for all 3 goals and only the much criticised lloris stopped a complete rout.You would not think that we needed to win as the fight was not there and even basic skills that you would expect from children were missing.I still think Mourino was a big mistake but have to accept that this shambles are practically unmanageable. The close season will need a massive clear out and if that means struggling then so be it as I cannot bear another season of the majority of this squad.Kane and Son are the only players who would get in another premiership team and I expect them to be doing that next year.They both look absolutely gutted with the service they are not getting.How are the spurs supporters so passive any other club would be under siege from the fans with this shambles created by Levy’s complete lack of football nous.I would keep Rodon Bergwin Hojbjerg and recall the midfielder we loaned to Norwich and the rest sell if we could find a buyer

 

Rodon , please please please stop calling for the Championship defender like it'd make a difference.

 

Wheres the screaming at why NDombele has been thrown under the bus, why was Bale taken off, why did Dele start, why isn't Kane being got the best out of, why aren't we on the front foot dominating??????

As I said Saints & SheffUtd 2 awful teams and we struggled to beat Saints.

We beat Leeds comfortably 3-0 earlier in the season so now where is all the "this is unacceptable" talk?

We drew with Newcastle n everyone was up in arms yet they spanked Leicester yesterday.

This new age of attacking football that's been implemented coz we beat 2 shocking sides is as disingenuous as the whole agenda against Mourinho was.

As I said all season it's the players

Lazy gutless bad attitude players

Stale comfy thinks it's better than it is squad

Instead of backing either of Poch or JM the board and a chunk of our fan base have backed the bad apples and as I said the reality will dawn on some eventually

 

Why does me asking if Rodon is injured get you so irritated Felon.The boy has not been given much chance to show what he can do and don’t tell me Dier or Sanchez are better.I did not say he would change our results but why you feel it necessary to knock him all the time I don’t understand.I was trying to put some sense in Mason selections which seem to be based on old mates syndrome.He keeps picking Dier andAli and I would not be surprised next game if Winks started.Most supporters know that we have a **** squad but they also know that Mourino was also a massive let down. Trying to put the blame solely on the poor squad is not the full picture and Levy really has surpassed himself with his ineptitude

I am afraid Felon de bruyne would not make any difference to this lot but at least give Rodon a chance to show he is better than Dier and Sanchez.We have a left back who gets praise as being class yet has been awful for a couple of months and I bet Real Madrid won’t be hurrying to buy him back and yet you don’t criticise him

 

Mason was never going to get the job (God help us)

He's far too young/inexperienced and despite his good intentions he doesn't really know what he's doing

Son and Kane were poor today... they don't get a free ride

Son is a very streaky player... he's not world class... yet he seems undroppable at Spurs which shouldn't be the case

 

It's all been said ad infinitum and a very boring season is almost over

 

Gonna be even worse next season without some serious recruitment in better players

 

I am tearing my hair out and i have only got a little left.Why do our 2 centrehalves whenever a forward shapes to shoot turn their back and put their hands behind them years ago when anyone was going to shoot players like Mullery Roberts England Norman Perryman and many many others threw themselves into the tackle so they could block the shot.And as for Lo Selso and fatbelly they are not worth a light.

 

Soon we'll read from some posters that they never considered the current squad to be top 4 quality, they'll claim that they never even implied it to be top 4 quality and that they've always complained about the squad....
Then they might attack anyone and everyone who claims that is actually what they've done for almost two years by saying that the people who interpreted them that way are stupid and don't understand anything.

Anyway, the squad is what it is, top 6 with an outside chance of making top 4 - sometimes things just line up perfectly like they did for Leicester in their title-winning season - but I'd say that improvements are needed before the squad can be said to be top 4 quality.

 

This ain’t a top 6 squad Jesper and it’s getting older if it does not change next year it will be championship squad

 

I've said before...... how many of our players would get into a top6 side??
add them up....if we don't have 11 we don't have a top6 side

 

Because now they can't put their hands in front and cover their bollocks or it might be construed as "handballs".

 

I'd agree that Spurs having a top 6 squad might be debatable. Especially after a match like today.

My reasoning behind is:
1. For top 4 then no obvious weaknesses are allowed but for top 6 then I believe that strengths in some areas can compensate for weaknesses in other areas. Possibly I am a bit inconsistent here, still I do believe that the quality finishers Spurs have together with the quality shot-stopper and many top 6 players then that makes a top 6 squad. I'd fully expect disagreements on that.

2. Form is temporary but class lasts. The form of some players have plummeted in the past 6-7 months, I am sure that the drop in form is not even debatable. The question might be how close to their 'real' level their performances have been. Is their 'real' level closer to how good they were 6-7 months ago or to how bad they've been lately?
(not a fan of using terms as 'real' level, couldn't think of a better term to use)

So for me then take away a few key-players without replacing them adquately and then the squad might be for mid-table. Hopefully that won't happen, hopefully some reinforcements in the weak areas comes in during the summer and a challenge for top 4 might not be too far off.

 

They already are/have been

 

3 games with a temporary coach, with no management experience at all, would never make much difference.

We have been attempting to play more positively in the last few games and Alli has justified his inclusion IMO. Our problem is, as it has been for a lot of this season, is our inability to defend. Unlike earlier this season, we haven’t just sat with 8 men behind the ball (which also didn’t work) but against the press of Leeds we got caught off the back of 3 errors.

In terms of performance yesterday, it was the usual suspects who let us down so why are they picked and players such as Rodon (who despite the fact he is not Dias, has already shown he is better than most of the others at CB).

What we do need is a someone to stop picking the aforementioned players and start giving game time to the likes of Rodon and Tanganga.

Just because some opinions on here that didn’t agree with the belief that JM was any harder done by than Poch or that no one else in world football could have achieved anymore than playing with 8 defenders and launching long balls doesn’t mean that a change of players was ever disagreed with.

Most people who felt a change necessary, also have quite clearly said all season that Aurier, Doherty, Dier and Lo Celso need to go (along with others if possible).

There has been widespread agreement from most that we need to change players but we also need someone to do a better job of getting the most out of the others that will inevitably remain.

Our squad is more than capable of challenging for top 4 and with the change of 4 to 5 players in those areas, will only see us improve.

I hope JM does win something with Roma because he is a funny character and seemed very likeable on the documentary however that will never change the fact that he shouldn’t have been appointed at Spurs in the first place given his previous at Chelsea and United in terms of performances and squad balance. Fingers crossed he does us a favour and buys Dier, Lamela & Moura as has been reported (because I’ll be amazed if anyone else will).

 

Thing is we keep hearing now that this squad is about top 6 n should be challenging for top 4

Exactly where we were under JM when he was sacked.....

All season though these same people have claimed they should be doing even better than this n it was all because of his coaching
