Not written 1 of these in a while due to having given up on pointing out the obvious to emotionally charged fans who can't separate feelings from facts.

Dr Bald Aids fired Pochettino after a dismal year of league results on the back of allowing the squad to stagnate/age & fall off a cliff.

He then hired 2 serial winners and gave them both a giant turd to polish with a fleeting cameo from Nuno.

TopSpurs could never get past the Chelsea links or losing their daddy Poch and went into a hyper hissy fit for 4 straight years barring a miraculous top 4 finish from Conte, they screamed and whaled because God forbid any of these wage thieving players took any responsibility or the idiotic chairman.

2 serial winners given a bag of shite to make work and hounded out the door in favour of bringing in a complete novice in top level football terms.

There has been a fair turnover of players in this time and for a few games it looked like we might be on to something.

    But as Conte said-
"these players don't want to play under pressure"
"You can change the manager the situation cannot change"

The second we were top facing a terrible Chelsea side the whole thing (new manager bounce) unravelled.

All manner of excuse has been offered to cover for the glaring deficiencies in mythical 'Angeball' but the facts are we are terrible going forward, even more terrible in defence, the midfield is bang average, the passing is tedious predictable and suicidal at times.

People were so desperate to be right and compensate for their irrational deranged stand point last few seasons they couldn't see what was staring them in the face.

An amateur coach, some incredibly overated players, a terrible choice for captain/s, zero leadership, lacking in quality and a very poor plan that's been worked out by it seems everyone but Postecoglu.

How long does vibes keep someone in a job?
The play the way we want to charade?
    Set pieces?
    Chocolate fire guard defending?
    Barn door attacking?

Once again il point out the Manager isn't the sole issue it's the owners and the **** they give the managers to work with.

But come on this is absolutely horrific currently looks like he lost it last night, the body language of everyone says it all.

Another busted flush and ENIC casualty.

Nice post Felon but you will not get your point across to most on here because they don’t really want to face up to the fact you might have a point. How any one can brush our terrible defending under the carpet I don’t understand and our attacking is so ponderous we rarely have more than 2 shots on target in a game.Even teams like Burnley have more..If Ange is up to it and I doubt that he will need to unload up to 8 players and bring in 8 class players and we all know that won’t happen. It took Arteta 2 years to turn Arsenal round can you see us in the same situation in a year (2years into Ange).I think most people here know the answer but won’t let the reality interfere with their dreams

Funny how this website can explode with comeback if Felon drops a criticism yet when he posts an obviously well thought out argument nobody Comments. Is this because maybe he has perhaps hit on some home truths.I read a few other webs on spurs and can honestly say that the memberships are split about 50/50 as to whether Ange is up to the job

Come on posters at least show some respect even if you don’t agree with Felon .At least come up with answer to give us hope

  4. Hmm.

So you criticise people for criticising previous coaches but then you criticise the coach?

For the record, since Pochettino …

Jose was not good at Spurs. Granted, he wasn’t supported much, but he still had the best striker (or thereabouts) in football and some very good footballers (albeit nearing the ends of their careers). The football was dreadful to watch, and he showed himself to be quite a boor when it all unravelled. He still can be a charismatic fellow, but football has no doubt moved on from his style.

Nuno? a terrible, terrible hire. It was never going to work. Everyone can all agree on that.

Conte? he did a superb job. The style of football was good, and the manager was first class. Unfortunately, extenuating circumstances brought it to an abrupt end.

As for Ange? unlike all previous managers, he doesn’t have the best striker in world football to guarantee him 20-30 goals. There is but one world class footballer at the club, and he plays defence. The squad is the weakest it has been in 13 odd years.

Ange has done a top job given what he’s got, and the football is excellent in principle. Further, the club is actually spending money these days. We just best hope that they make the right purchases, because nothing is guaranteed in the market, and things can get a lot worse.

Notice your comments impostelogu but it took Arteta 2 yers to get th basis for a challenge which fell short in the first year so he buys declan rice.He has also bought Odegard Havertz Trossard. White Gabriel parley who would all walk into or first eleven. Can you see Ange signing this quality because if not we will fall further behind.Levy will not release funds for these type of players and we will think a loan of Verner a big signing. There is also the fact that any good player probably wants to go to City Arsenal or Liverpoolor even Chelsea because of the wages

  6. I hate to tell you, but Spurs’ squad at present cost the same as Arsenal’s; the two most expensive squads are currently below us on the table. Wage wise, we are a little behind Arsenal, but I would suggest that has more to do with not having anyone worth paying at present. Their top earner is well below the going rates in Manchester.

Either way, the finances are very much the same (we are overtaking them), though they both lag well behind City’s (pseudo sponsorship) and to a lesser extent United’s.

Competing with City will always be hard, particularly while Guardiola is there, but as you can see with other clubs, spending money does not necessarily equate to success. You have to buy good players, and we have consistently gotten that wrong.

If you are correct about our squad costing same as Arsenal what does that say about our recruitment as we don’t have a Rice or Odegard

  8. Well, it’s been poor for the most part. There is a long list of duds.

But to be fair, we also don’t have a Saka either, i.e., a world class academy product.

When did we last have a class academy player.what does that say about the coaching

  10. It was Kane. And he is the only one I can remember.

It is not about coaching so much. As the OP said, you can only polish a turd so much. The raw talent absolutely needs to be there.

  11. Where’s the OP here?

He likes the posts of people asking for comment but then disappears when faced with any rational argument.

Is this lad just a troll? A disgruntled ex-ENIC employee? A sociopathic Arsenal fan?

Melts like a snowflake once he’s had his rant either way.

I have spent the last few days reading articles in the trusted press ie Times Guardian and the telegraph and most of these football writers are perplexed by Anges refusal to realise that his Angeball is not working.None of them have suggested sacking Ange but reckon he is walking the tightrope if he cannot adjust. No matter who he brings in next season they will not improve our defending unless it is a world class holding midfielder and they would cost more than the bald eagle will pay out.A defence coach is paramount and Ange must swallow his pride.Arsenal and City are top for a reason .Apart from brilliant attacking players they both have exceptional defenders. We have conceded more than teams like Fulham Crystal Palace and Everton not a comforting thought.Time for Ange to have a look at himself and stop being so arrogant when pressed about our defending.I have said before that this is not Scotland and a true look at his time at Celtic is how poor they .were inthe european competitions against better teams

I was just reminiscing and was surprised how many trophies I have seen spurs win in my lifetime I get a lot of bad press because I am seen as negative but when you have lived through 2 championship wins 6 fa cup wins 4 league cup wins 1 cup winners cup win the first by an English team and 2 uefa cup wins then you know what it is really it is like to have glory days.so maybe the people who don’t like my words of caution can understand the current frustration I have also lived through relegation so I’ve seen the pits as well but nothing has stopped the love I have for this club and nothing ever will but I will still say it as it is when I think we need to do things differently

I remember growing up and us never having lost an Fa cup final and having the highest number of fa cup wins. It all went downhill when I went to my first fa cup final and they lost. It’s my fault!

It's absolutely crazy how much ange has been backed given his limited CV compared to serial winners conte and jose and indeed poch to be fair given the amount of credit he had in the bank. You do wonder how conte would of fayred with 2 or 3 40-60m players in particular a left centre half.
