    I had a premonition...
    Beat City.
    Beat Juve in the semi.
    Finish 4th in PL.
    Arsenal 5th.
    Lose CL final.
Arsenal win Europa and nick our CL place for next year.
    ...Spursy.

City are beatable but you have to be prepared to fight to beat them, and that is something this current spurs team hasn't shown much of this season.
MP is a fitness based coach so it surprises me he doesn't have more athletic players. The best spurs team under MP had speed, strength and guile this team is not as strong and not as fast.
Slowly but surely after 5 years of MP spurs seem to be back to where we started in terms of team quality.
These are the games where i wished spurs had a fast FB as city seem to always get a goal through trippiers lack of pace, also city always run rings around Dier in midfield.
The one bright spot is that cities CB's can be got at and if Mp can get the tactics right, spurs can score and goals change games. City are favourites so losing to them doesn't do much harm, accept that players who have ambition to win thing's might want to join a club that has the same ambition as them.

For us to beat City over two legs is a near on impossible task.. I don't fancy us on a one off game tbf. A few years ago we seemed to have their number for a short period as Liverpool do now. You have to match their work rate and as someone states above our team seems to lack the pace and energy to do so. Liverpool have a front three that all press high together and three work horses in centre mid. We have too many who like to play between the lines.

Once again at this level it comes down to tactics especially over 2 legs , if at full strength our 1st 11 isn't that inferior but it does rely on the correct attitude/application/game plan.

The nicey nicey, we gave it a go naivety needs to go and be replaced with a steely do your jobs mentality.
In game action/reaction from Poch & Players, no languid starts or customary early goals

And we might have a chance

I'd put a tight bk four together with the full bks given zero permission to attack until the latter stages. A midfield powerful three of dier sissoko wanyama(for as long as his legs hold out) ... And a narrow front three pressing hard and high in Kane alli son.

Play them at basketball with full bks high up the park..... Forget about it. Sterling and sane will have a field day. Watford had the game plan to T last week until an awful offside goal made them open up.

Being owned by Enic is so painful, knowing spurs are owned by an investment company that has no interest in winning trophies. Levy's latest statements basically said as much. He said something along the lines of buying players is the easy way to win stuff, however, his investment in the stadium will serve the club better over the long term. Spurs need new owners, as this guy hasn't a clue about what makes football great.

2 ways to look at this Felon. Fear.. which is understandable and right, or hope...that somehow everything clicks and we pull it out the bag. Now wouldn't that be nice?

And just like that, two of Poch's supposed destinations are closed off, so assume he'll be there next season. Going to be an interesting summer transfer window...

MP would have had a tough time at Man.u. The Man.u players seem to like OGS and with carrick, phlan and fergie in the background the set up was there, Mp would have brought in his own crew and that would have destroyed the Man.u link.
Why pay 40m for Mp when OGS is doing a good job? i doubt MP would have done any better than ogs and what track record does MP have apart from qualifying for top 4 he hasn't done anything out of the ordinary.

If spurs can get a draw today and pick up one point it would go down as a good result considering spurs record at Anfield. Spurs are more than capable of frustrating pool, if set up correctly, however, if Mp decides to go toe to toe than i fear spurs will come of 2nd best. Coys

Who knows what to expect from Spurs this afternoon? We've had no good performances in the PL since the 6-2 at Everton, and the string of snatched last minute winners has been replaced by avoidable defeats against strugglers - I reckon Pochettino's head has been turned by the talk about jobs at Real Madrid or Man U at least as much as Redknapp's was by the England talk back in 2012, and let's hope the slamming of those two exit doors (for now, anyway) will concentrate his mind on the job he's paid eight million quid a year to do at Tottenham, and keep us in the top four, even if a trophy seems as far off as ever.

Once again pochetino starts with wrong system changes it when we're are one down and then when we look like winning Lloris gives the points to the scousers.First goal down to Trippier not being able to defend and surely Sissoko must practice shooting in training although Vandyke was clever making it difficult to get the ball to Son.Piease make sure that in the transfer window we replace Lloris andTrippier amongst others as they have probably cost us 10 points this season. Finally Rose can't play in midfield if poch insists on moving a defender forward make it vertongan.Break the bank for Bale and Modric my we could do with the experience

Both goals are down to Lloris for me. A pathetic chipped clearance into the centre of the pitch, ball to Robertson, end of......total shite.

As for the second one. You have to be able to trust your keeper to catch such a weak header, except that is our World Cup winning captain. His CV is far better than the real life person, by a country mile. Dortmund apart he has been F****ing C**p.

I don't care if he is the skipper (and should never be) or that it's such an important first game at The New Lane, he has to be benched. Bring on Gazza.

But I really fear that Poch hasn't got the b***s to do it, which is so very sad for the Club and for the fans.

That was SOOO unnecessary....my blood pressure still hasn't gone back down. FFS, we were the better side.
