Stadium Plans provide sinking feeling

As we reach a point in the season when Spurs are still in the title race, this morning sees some worrying news about our new stadium.
During excavation works outside the current stadium, a small, and it is said to be very small, amount of subsidence has been found.
Steps have already been taken to shore up the area but it means that all current building works have been suspended until architects can confirm the subsidence or otherwise.

Whilst Tottenham Hotspur Football Club have yet to release an official statement, sources believe that works should continue sooner rather than later.

If, however, subsidence issues are found to be worse than originally thought, it is possible that the new stadium project may have to be put on hold for the foreseeable future.

With things going so well in the pitch, this would be a real kick in the teeth, but let's keep positive and keep daring to do.

has the entire foundation been poured? Seems odd that they wouldn't have tested or anticipated prior to spending a few million in prepping site and prior to pouring foundation- how much subsistance has been revealed? What is nature of subsistance?is it fatal to current foundation? Does it require locating a new site?sounds like the proverbial spanner in the works- hope it is an over reaction- COYS

 

Clearly all the foundations aren't poured yet, but it may be that some of the piles have failed their tests.
We'll await news...

And it is April 1st today.....

 

The stadium has taken a dramatic twist early this morning after news has leaked that the name for the new stadium will be the Olympic Stadium and this has being trademarked making west ham re naming theirs Westfield Near Marks end.
The benefits for Spurs are that all Olympic events must take place at the stadium which means no track events but american football will be included.
The subsidence is a cover up to get people off site so the foundations can be reinforced with certain people with underworld connections ( rumour is we will not see Piss Morgan anymore).

As an Architect myself i can pretty much guarantee you this story is nonsense

Well they're currently pouring concrete, hardly suspended.

Now what is the real April Fool is that there is any real stadium development at the moment, second only to the one season away 2014/15/16 April Fool......
You can't develop a stadium as long as the existing one is being used every other week, so before May 2017, real workey no starty.
